1 D e nuevo vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,

2 “ Hijo de hombre, profetiza y di: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Giman: ‘¡Ay de aquel día!’

Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Wail, Alas for the day!

3 P orque cerca está el día, Sí, está cerca el día del Señor; Día de nubarrones, La hora de las naciones.

For the day is near, even the day of Yahweh is near; it shall be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.

4 L a espada vendrá sobre Egipto Y habrá angustia en Etiopía, Cuando caigan traspasados en Egipto, Se lleven sus riquezas Y sean derribados sus cimientos.

A sword shall come on Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt; and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

5 E tiopía, Put, Lud, toda Arabia, Libia, y el pueblo de la tierra en alianza caerán a espada con ellos.’”

Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the mixed people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 ‘ Así dice el Señor: “Ciertamente caerán los que apoyan a Egipto, Y se vendrá abajo el orgullo de su poder. Desde Migdol hasta Sevene Caerán a espada con él,” Declara el Señor Dios.

Yahweh says: They also who uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, says the Lord Yahweh.

7 “ Estarán desolados En medio de las tierras desoladas, Y sus ciudades, en medio de las ciudades estarán devastadas.

They shall be desolate in the middle of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the middle of the cities that are wasted.

8 Y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor, Cuando ponga fuego a Egipto Y sean destrozados todos los que le ayudan.

They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.

9 A quel día saldrán de Mi presencia mensajeros en naves para aterrorizar a la confiada Etiopía; y vendrá angustia sobre ellos como en el día de Egipto. Ciertamente, ese día viene.”

In that day shall messengers go out from before me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid; and there shall be anguish on them, as in the day of Egypt; for, behold, it comes.

10 ‘ Así dice el Señor Dios: “Voy a acabar con la multitud de Egipto Por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

11 N abucodonosor, y su pueblo con él, La más cruel de las naciones, Será traída para destruir la tierra; Sacarán sus espadas contra Egipto Y llenarán de traspasados la tierra.

He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

12 C onvertiré en sequedal los canales del Nilo Y venderé la tierra en manos de malvados. Desolaré la tierra Y cuanto hay en ella por mano de extraños. Yo, el Señor, he hablado.’”

I will make the rivers dry, and will sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I, Yahweh, have spoken it.

13 ‘ Así dice el Señor Dios: “Destruiré también los ídolos Y haré cesar las imágenes de Menfis. Ya no habrá príncipe en la tierra de Egipto, Y pondré temor en la tierra de Egipto.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis; and there shall be no more a prince from the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

14 A solaré a Patros, Pondré fuego en Zoán, Y ejecutaré juicios contra Tebas.

I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments on No.

15 D erramaré Mi furor sobre Sin, La fortaleza de Egipto; También exterminaré a la multitud de Tebas.

I will pour my wrath on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16 Y pondré fuego en Egipto; Sin se retorcerá de dolor, Tebas será destruida, Y Menfis tendrá angustias cada día.

I will set a fire in Egypt: Sin shall be in great anguish, and No shall be broken up; and Memphis shall have adversaries in the daytime.

17 L os jóvenes de On y de Pi Beset Caerán a espada, Y las mujeres irán al cautiverio.

The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and they shall go into captivity.

18 E n Tafnes el día se oscurecerá Cuando Yo quiebre allí los yugos de Egipto, Y cesará en ella la soberbia de su poderío; Una nube la cubrirá, Y sus hijas irán al cautiverio.

At Tehaphnehes also the day shall withdraw itself, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt, and the pride of her power shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19 A sí ejecutaré juicios en Egipto, Y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.”’”

Thus will I execute judgments on Egypt; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

20 E n el año once, el mes primero, el día siete del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

In the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

21 “ Hijo de hombre, he quebrado el brazo de Faraón, rey de Egipto, y no ha sido vendado para curarlo, ni ligado con vendas de modo que cobre fuerzas para empuñar la espada.

Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it has not been bound up, to apply medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it be strong to hold the sword.

22 P or tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Yo estoy en contra de Faraón, rey de Egipto. Quebraré sus brazos, tanto el fuerte como el fracturado, y haré que la espada caiga de su mano.

Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 D ispersaré a los Egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por las tierras.

I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24 F ortaleceré los brazos del rey de Babilonia y pondré Mi espada en su mano; y quebraré los brazos de Faraón, que delante de Nabucodonosor gemirá con gemidos de un mal herido.

I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he shall groan before him with the groaning of a mortally wounded man.

25 F ortaleceré, pues, los brazos del rey de Babilonia, pero los brazos de Faraón caerán. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor, cuando ponga Mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia y él la esgrima contra la tierra de Egipto.

I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon; and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out on the land of Egypt.

26 C uando Yo disperse a los Egipcios entre las naciones y los esparza por las tierras, entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.’”

I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
