1 “ En aquel día habrá una fuente abierta para la casa de David y para los habitantes de Jerusalén, para lavar el pecado y la impureza.

“In that day there will be a spring opened to David’s house and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

2 “ Y sucederá en aquel día,” declara el Señor de los ejércitos, “que eliminaré de la tierra los nombres de los ídolos, y nunca más serán recordados; también Yo quitaré de la tierra a los profetas y al espíritu inmundo.

It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.

3 Y sucederá que si alguien profetiza todavía, su padre y su madre que lo engendraron le dirán: ‘No vivirás porque has hablado falsamente en el nombre del Señor ’; y su padre y su madre que lo engendraron lo traspasarán mientras profetiza.

It will happen that, when anyone still prophesies, then his father and his mother who bore him will tell him, ‘You must die, because you speak lies in Yahweh’s name;’ and his father and his mother who bore him will stab him when he prophesies.

4 T ambién sucederá aquel día que los profetas se avergonzarán cada uno de su visión cuando profetice, y no se vestirán con el manto de piel para engañar,

It will happen in that day, that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision, when he prophesies; neither will they wear a hairy mantle to deceive:

5 s ino que cada uno dirá: ‘No soy profeta, soy labrador de la tierra, porque un hombre me vendió como esclavo en mi juventud.’

but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondservant from my youth.’

6 Y alguien le dirá: ‘¿Qué son esas heridas en tu cuerpo?’ Y él responderá: ‘ Son aquéllas con que fui herido en casa de mis amigos.’

One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’

7 “ Despierta, espada, contra Mi pastor, Y contra el hombre compañero Mío,” Declara el Señor de los ejércitos. “Hiere al Pastor y se dispersarán las ovejas, Y volveré Mi mano contra los pequeños.

“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

8 “ Y sucederá en toda la tierra,” declara el Señor, “que dos partes serán cortadas en ella, y perecerán; Pero la tercera quedará en ella.

It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.

9 Y meteré la tercera parte en el fuego, Los refinaré como se refina la plata, Y los probaré como se prueba el oro. Invocarán Mi nombre, Y Yo les responderé; Diré: ‘Ellos son Mi pueblo,’ Y ellos dirán: ‘El Señor es mi Dios.’”
