1 F ret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 F or they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Защото като трева скоро ще се окосят, И като зелена трева ще повехнат.

3 T rust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Уповавай на Господа и върши добро; <Така ще> населиш земята и <ще> се храниш с увереност.

4 D elight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Весели се, тъй също, в Господа; И Той ще ти даде попросеното от сърцето ти.

5 C ommit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Предай на Господа пътя си; И уповавай на Него, и Той ще извърши <очакването ти;>

6 A nd he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

И ще направи да се яви правдата ти като светлината, И съдът ти като пладне.

7 R est in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Облегни се на Господа, и чакай Него; Не се раздразнявай поради този човек, който успява в пътя си Като извършва подлости.

8 C ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Престани от негодуванието, и остави гнева; Не се раздразнявай, <понеже това води> само към злотворството.

9 F or evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Защото злотворците ще се изтребят; А ония, които чакат Господа, те ще наследят земята.

10 F or yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

Защото още малко, и нечестивият не ще го има вече; Да! прилежно ще изследваш мястото му, и не ще се намери;

11 B ut the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Но кротките ще наследят земята, И ще се наслаждават с изобилен мир.

12 T he wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

Нечестивият прави заговор против праведния. И скърца на него със зъби.

13 T he Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

Господ ще му се присмее, Понеже вижда, че иде денят му.

14 T he wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

Нечестивите изтръгнаха меч и опънаха лъка си, За да повалят сиромаха и немощния, За да заколят ония, които са с праведна обхода.

15 T heir sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

Мечът им ще се забие в тяхното сърце, И лъковете им ще се строшат.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Малкият <имот> на праведния е по-желателен От богатството на мнозина нечестиви;

17 F or the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

Защото мишците на нечестивите ще се строшат, А Господ подкрепява праведните.

18 T he Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

Господ знае дните на непорочните; И тяхното наследство ще бъде до века.

19 T hey shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Те няма да се посрамят в лоши времена. В дни на глад ще бъдат сити,

20 B ut the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

А нечестивите ще загинат, И враговете Господни ще бъдат като отборните агнета {Еврейски: Превъзходните на пасбищата.}; Ще чезнат, като дим ще изчезнат.

21 T he wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

Нечестивият взема на заем, и не отплаща; А праведният постъпва благо и дава.

22 F or such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

Защото благословените от <Господа> ще наследят земята; А проклетите от Него ще се изтребят.

23 T he steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Стъпките на човека се оправят от Господа; И Неговото благоволение е в пътя Му.

24 T hough he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Ако падне, не ще се повали, Защото Господ подпира ръката му.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Млад бях, ето, остарях, Но не съм видял праведният оставен, Нито потомството му да проси хляб.

26 H e is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Всеки ден постъпва благо и дава на заем; И потомството му е в благословение.

27 D epart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

Отклонявай се от зло, и върши добро, И ще имаш вечно жилище.

28 F or the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Защото Господ обича правосъдие, И не оставя светиите Си; До века те ще бъдат опазени; А потомството на нечестивите ще се изтреби.

29 T he righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

Праведните ще наследят земята, И ще живеят на нея до века.

30 T he mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

Устата на праведния приказва за мъдрост, И езикът му говори правосъдие.

31 T he law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Законът на неговия Бог е в сърцето му; Стъпките му няма да се подхлъзнат,

32 T he wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

Грешният наблюдава праведния, И търси да го убие.

33 T he Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

Господ няма да го остави в ръцете му, Нито ще го осъди, когато бъде съден.

34 W ait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Чакай Господа и пази Неговия път, И Той ще те издигне, за да наследиш земята; Когато се изтребят нечестивите, ти ще видиш <това>.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Виждал съм нечестивия страшен, И разпрострян като зелено дърво на своята си почва;

36 Y et he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

Но когато преминах, ето нямаше го; Търсих го, и не се намери.

37 M ark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Забележи непорочния и гледай праведния; Защото миролюбивият човек <ще има> потомство;

38 B ut the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

А престъпниците <всички> заедно ще се изтребят; Останалите от нечестивите ще се отсекат.

39 B ut the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

Но избавлението на праведните е от Господа; Той им е крепост във време на беда.

40 A nd the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

И Господ ще им помогне и ще ги избави, Ще ги избави от нечестивите и ще ги спаси, Понеже са прибягнали при Него.
