1 T he second lot came out for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Their inheritance was in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Judah.

وَكانَتِ القُرْعةُ الثانيةُ لعَشِيرَةِ شِمْعُونَ بحسب عَشائِرِها. فَكانَتْ أرْضُهُمْ فِي داخِلِ أرْضِ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا.

2 T hey had for their inheritance Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,

وَكانَتِ المُدُنُ التّالِيَةُ مِيراثاً لَهُمْ: بِئْرُ السَّبْعِ – أوْ شَبَعُ – وَمُولادَةُ،

3 H azar Shual, Balah, Ezem,

وَحَصَرُ شُوعالَ وَبالَةُ وَعاصَمُ،

4 E ltolad, Bethul, Hormah,

وَألتُولَدُ وَبَتُولُ وَحُرْمَةُ،

5 Z iklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,

وَصِقلَغُ وَبَيْتُ المَرْكَبُوتِ وَحَصَرُ سُوسَةَ،

6 B eth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;

وَبَيتُ لَباوُتَ وَشارُوحَيْنُ. وَمَجمُوعُها ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها.

7 A in, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan; four cities with their villages;

وَعَينُ وَرِمُّونُ وَعاتَرُ وَعاشانُ. وَمَجمُوعُها أربَعُ مُدُنٍ مَعَ قُراها.

8 a nd all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

وَكَذَلِكَ كُلُّ القُرَى وَالحُقُولِ الَّتِي حَولَ هَذِهِ المُدُنِ إلَى بَعلَةِ بِئْرٍ، أيِ الرّامَةِ الَّتِي فِي النَّقَبِ. هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ عَشِيرَةِ نَسلِ شِمْعُونَ.

9 O ut of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the middle of their inheritance.

وَكانَ مِيراثُ قَبِيلَةِ شِمْعُونَ جُزءاً مِنْ أرْضِ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا. لِأنَّ حِصَّةَ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا كانَتْ أكبَرَ مِمّا تَحْتاجُ إلَيِهِ. وَلِذا حَصَلَتْ قَبِيلَةُ شِمْعُونَ عَلَى مِيراثِها فِي داخِلِ مِيراثِ يَهُوذا. أرْضُ زَبُولُون

10 T he third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. The border of their inheritance was to Sarid.

وَكانت القرعة الثالثة لِعَشِيرَةِ زَبُولُونَ بحَسَبِ عشائرِها. فَكانَ حَدُّ أرْضِهِمْ يَصِلُ إلَى سارِيدَ.

11 T heir border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth. It reached to the brook that is before Jokneam.

وَيَصْعَدُ الحَدُّ نَحْوَ الغَرْبِ وَنَحْوَ مَرْعَلَةَ، وَيَقْتَرِبُ كَثِيراً مِنْ دَبّاشَةَ، ثُمَّ يَصِلُ إلَى الوادِي الَّذِي إلَى الشَّرْقِ مِنْ يَقْنَعامَ.

12 I t turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor. It went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.

وَمِنْ سارِيدَ يَذْهَبُ الحَدُّ فِي الاتِّجاهِ المُقابِلِ نَحْوَ الشَّرقِ إلَى حَدِّ كِسلُوتِ تابُورَ، ثُمَّ يَعبُرُ الوادِي إلَى دَبْرَةَ، ثُمَّ يَصْعَدُ إلَى يافِيعَ.

13 F rom there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Ethkazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah.

وَمِنْ هُناكَ يَمْتَدُّ إلَى الشَّرْقِ إلَى جَتَّ حافَرَ فَإلَى عِتِّ قاصِينَ. ثُمَّ يَعبُرُ الوادِي إلَى رِمُّونَ ثُمَّ يَمْتَدُّ إلَى نَيْعَةَ.

14 T he border turned around it on the north to Hannathon; and it ended at the valley of Iphtah El;

ثُمَّ يَمْتَدُّ الحَدُّ إلَى الشِّمالِ إلَى حَنّاثُونَ، وَيَنتَهِي عِندَ وادِي يَفْتَحِئِيلَ.

15 K attath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

وَمِنْ مُدُنِهِمْ قَطَّةُ وَنَهلالُ وَشِمْرُونُ وَيَدالَةُ وَبَيْتُ لَحْم. وَمَجمُوعُ مُدُنِهِمِ اثْنَتا عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها.

16 T his is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ قَبِيلَةِ زَبُولُونَ، وَهَذِهِ هِيَ مُدُنُهُمْ مَعَ قُراها. أرْضُ يَسّاكَر

17 T he fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the children of Issachar according to their families.

وَكانَتِ القُرْعةُ الرّابعةُ لِعَشِيرَةَ يَسّاكَرَ بِحَسَبِ عَشائِرِها.

18 T heir border was to Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

وَكانَتْ أرْضُهُمْ تَضُمُّ مُدُنَ يَزْرَعِيلَ وَالكِسلُوتِ وَشُونَمَ

19 H apharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

وَحَفارايِمَ وَشِيئُونَ وَأناحَرَةَ

20 R abbith, Kishion, Ebez,

وَرَبِّيتَ وَقِشْيُونَ وَآبَصَ

21 R emeth, Engannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.

وَرَمَةَ وَعَينَ جَنِّيمَ وَعَينَ حِدَّةَ وَبَيتَ فَصِّيْصَ.

22 T he border reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

وَيُلامِسُ حَدُّهُمْ تابُورَ وَشَحْصِيمَةَ وَبَيْتَ شَمسٍ. وَيَنتَهِي حَدُّهُمْ عِندَ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ. وَمَجمُوعُ مُدُنَهِمْ سِتَّ عَشرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها.

23 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.

هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ قَبِيلَةِ يسّاكِرَ، وَهَذِهِ هِيَ مُدُنُهُمْ مَعَ قُراها. أرْضُ أشَير

24 T he fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

وَكانَت القُرْعةُ الخامسةُ لِعَشِيرَةِ أشِيرَ بحَسَبِ عشائرها.

25 T heir border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,

فَكانَتْ أرْضُهُمْ تَضُمُّ المُدُنَ التّالِيَةَ: حَلْقَةَ وَحَلِيَ وَباطَنَ وَأكشافَ،

26 A llammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.

وَاَلَّمَّلَكَ وَعَمْعادَ وَمِشْآلَ. وَفِي الغَربِ، كانَ حَدُّهُمْ يُلامِسُ الكَرْمَلَ وَشِيحُورَ لِبْنَةَ،

27 I t turned toward the sunrise to Beth Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah El northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. It went out to Cabul on the left hand,

ثُمَّ يَتَّجِهُ شَرْقاً إلَى بَيتِ داجُونَ، ثُمَّ يُلامِسُ زَبُولُونَ وَوادِي يَفْتَحْئِيلَ. ثُمَّ يَتَّجِهُ إلَى الشِّمالِ نَحوَ بَيْتَ عامِقَ وَنَعِيئِيلَ. ثُمَّ يُكمِلُ إلَى الشِّمالِ إلَى كابُولَ.

28 a nd Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon.

وَكَذَلِكَ يَشْمَلُ عَبْدُونَ وَرَحُوبَ وَحَمُّونَ وَقانَةَ، وَإلَى صِيدُونَ العَظِيمَةِ.

29 T he border turned to Ramah, to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah. It ended at the sea by the region of Achzib;

ثُمَّ يَعُودُ الحَدُّ إلَى الرّامَةِ، وَيَصِلُ إلَى صُورَ، المَدِينَةِ المُحَصَّنَةِ. ثُمَّ يَعُودُ الحَدُّ إلَى حُوصَةَ، وَيَنتَهِي عِندَ البَحرِ. وَتَشْمَلُ أرْضُهُمْ أِيضاً المُدُنَ التّالِيَةَ: مَهالابَ وَأكْزِيبَ،

30 U mmah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.

وَعُمَّةَ وَأفِيقَ وَرَحُوبَ. وَمَجمُوعُ مُدُنِهِمِ اثنَتانِ وَعِشْرُونَ مَدِينَةً.

31 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ أشِيرَ، وَهَذِهِ هِيَ مُدُنُهُمْ مَعَ قُراها. أرْضُ نَفْتالِي

32 T he sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

وَكانت القُرْعةُ السادِسةُ لِقَبِيلَةِ نَفتالِي بِحَسَبِ عشائرِها.

33 T heir border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, Adaminekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakkum. It ended at the Jordan.

وَكانَ حَدُّهُمْ مِنْ حالِفَ إلَى شَجَرَةِ البَلُّوطِ فِي صَعَنَنِّيمَ إلَى أدامِي ناقِبُ وَيَبْنِيئِيلَ إلَى لَقُّومَ. وَيَنتَهِي الحَدُّ عِنْدَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ.

34 T he border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok. It reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.

وَيَدُورُ الحَدُّ فِي الغَربِ عِنْدَ أزْنُوتِ تابُورَ. وَمِنْ هُناكَ يَتَجِهُ إلَى حُقُّوقَ، وَيُلامِسُ زَبُولُونَ فِي الجَنُوبِ، وَأشِيرَ فِي الغَربِ، وَنَهْرَ الأُردُنِّ فِي الشَّرقِ.

35 T he fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,

وَمُدُنُهُمُ الحَصِينَةُ هِيَ: صِدِّيمُ وَصَيرُ وَحَمَّةُ وَرَقَّةُ وَكِنّارَةُ،

36 A damah, Ramah, Hazor,

وَأدَمَةُ وَالرّامَةُ وَحاصُورُ،

37 K edesh, Edrei, En Hazor,

وَقادَشُ وَإذْرَعِي وَعَينُ حاصُورَ،

38 I ron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

وَيِرْأُونُ وَمَجْدَلُ إيلَ وَحُورِيمُ وَبَيْتُ عَناةَ وَبَيتُ شَمسٍ. وَمَجمُوعِ المُدُنِ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها.

39 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.

هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ قَبِيلَةِ نَفْتالِي، وَهَذِهِ هِيَ مُدُنُهُمْ وَقُراهُمْ. أرْضُ دان

40 T he seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

وَكانَتِ القُرْعةُ السّابِعَةُ لِعَشِيرَةِ دانَ بحسَبِ عَشائِرِها.

41 T he border of their inheritance was Zorah, Eshtaol, Irshemesh,

وَكانَتْ أرْضُهُمْ تَشْمَلُ المُدُنَ التّالِيَةَ: صَرْعَةَ وَأشتَأُولَ وَعِيرَ شَمسٍ،

42 S haalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,

وَشَعلَبِّينَ وَأيَّلُونَ وَيِتلَةَ،

43 E lon, Timnah, Ekron,

وَإيلُونَ وَتِمْنَةَ وَعَقْرُونَ،

44 E ltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,

وَإلْتَقَيهَ وَجِبَّثُونَ وَبَعلَةَ،

45 J ehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,

وَيَهُودَ وَبَنِي بَرْقَ وَجَتَّ رِمُّونَ،

46 M e Jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border over against Joppa.

وَمَيَرْقُوْنَ وَرَقُّونَ وَالمِنطَقَةَ المُجاوِرَةَ لِيافا.

47 T he border of the children of Dan went out beyond them; for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their forefather.

وَحِينَ فَقَدَ شَعبُ دانَ أرْضَهُمْ، صَعِدَتْ قَبِيلَةُ دانَ وَحارَبَتْ لَشَمَ وَاستَولَتْ عَلَيها وَقَتَلَتْ شَعبَها وَامتَلَكَتْها وَاستَقَرَّتْ فِيها. وَدَعُوها «دانَ» كاسْمِ جَدِّهِمْ.

48 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ قَبِيلَةِ دانَ، وَهَذِهِ هِيَ مُدُنُهُمْ وَقُراها. أرْضُ يَشُوع

49 S o they finished distributing the land for inheritance by its borders. The children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them.

وَحِينَ انتَهُوا مِنْ تَقسِيمِ الأرْضِ حَسَبَ حُدُودِها، أعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ يَشُوعَ بْنَ نُونَ أرْضاً فِي وَسَطِهِمْ.

50 A ccording to Yahweh’s commandment, they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived there.

وَبِحَسَبِ أمرِ اللهِ أعطُوهُ المَدِينَةَ الَّتِي طَلَبَها، وَهِيَ تِمْنَةُ سارَحَ الَّتِي فِي مِنْطَقَةِ أفْرايِمَ الجَبَلِيَّةِ، فَأعادَ بِناءَها وَسَكَنَ فَيها.

51 T hese are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing the land.

هَذِهِ هِيَ الحِصَصُ الَّتِي قَسَمَها ألِعازَرُ الكاهِنُ وَيَشُوعُ بْنُ نُونَ وَقادَةُ قَبائِلِ إسْرائِيلَ بِالقُرعَةِ فِي شِيلُوهَ فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ عِندَ مَدْخَلِ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ. وَانتَهُوا مِنْ تَقسِيمِ الأرْضِ.
