1 O n that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.

فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، تَرَكَ يَسُوعُ البَيتَ وَجَلَسَ عَلَى شاطِئِ البُحَيرَةِ.

2 G reat multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.

فَاجتَمَعَتْ حَولَهُ جَماهِيرُ كَثِيرَةٌ. فصَعِدَ إلَى قارِبٍ وَجَلَسَ فِيهِ، بَينَما وَقَفَ النّاسُ عَلَى الشّاطِئِ.

3 H e spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.

وَقالَ لَهُمْ أشياءَ كَثِيرَةً بِأمثالٍ. فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «خَرَجَ فَلّاحٌ لِيَبذِرَ.

4 A s he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.

وَبَينَما هُوَ يَبذُرُ، وَقَعَ بَعضُ البِذارِ إلَى جانِبِ الطَّرِيقِ، فَجاءَتِ الطُيُورُ وَأكَلَتهُ.

5 O thers fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.

وَوَقَعَ بَعضُ البِذارِ عَلَى أرْضٍ صَخرِيَّةٍ، حَيثُ لا تُوجَدُ تُربَةٌ كافِيَةٌ، فَنَمَتِ الحُبُوبُ بِسُرعَةٍ لِأنَّ التُّربَةَ لَمْ تَكُنْ عَميقَةً.

6 W hen the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.

لَكِنْ عِندَما أشرَقَتِ الشَّمسُ احتَرَقَتْ، وَلِأنَّها كانَتْ بِلا جُذورٍ ذَبُلَتْ.

7 O thers fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.

وَوَقَعَ بَعضُ البِذارِ عَلَىْ الأشواكِ. فَنَمَتِ الأشواكُ وَعَطَّلَتْ نُمُوَّهُ.

8 O thers fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

وَوَقَعَتْ بُذُورٌ أُخْرَى عَلَى الأرْضِ الصّالِحَةِ فَأثْمَرَ بَعضُها مِئَةَ ضِعفٍ، وَبَعضُها سِتِّينَ ضِعفاً، وَبَعضُها ثَلاثِينَ ضِعفاً.

9 H e who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

مَنْ لَهُ أُذُنانِ، فَلْيَسمَعْ.» السَّمَعُ وَالفَهم

10 T he disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”

وَجاءَ إلَيهِ التَّلامِيذُ وَسَألُوهُ: «لِماذا تَتَكَلَّمُ إلَيْهِمْ باسْتِخدامِ الأمثلةِ الرَمزيَّةِ؟»

11 H e answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

فَأجابَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «لَقَدْ أعطاكُمُ اللهُ امتِيازَ مَعرِفَةِ سِرِّ مَلَكُوتِ السَّماواتِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ لَمْ يُعْطِهِ لَهُمْ.

12 F or whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

لِأنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَملُكُ سَيُزادُ لَهُ، وَيَفيضُ عَنْهُ، أمّا الَّذِي لا يَملِكُ، فَسَيُنتَزَعُ مِنهُ ما لَهُ.

13 T herefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.

لِهَذا أتَكَلَّمُ إلَيْهِمْ بِأمثالٍ، فَمَعْ أنَّهُمْ يَرَونَ، إلّا أنَّهُمْ لا يُدرِكُونَ. وَمَعْ أنَّهُمْ يَسمَعُونَ، إلّا أنَّهُمْ لا يَفهَمُونَ.

14 I n them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:

وَبِهَذا تَنطَبِقُ عَلَيهِمْ نُبُوَّةُ إشَعْياءَ: ‹سَتَسمَعُونَ وَتَسمَعُونَ، لَكِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَفهَمُوا. وَسَتَنظُرُونَ وَتَنظُرُونَ، لَكِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تُبْصِروا.

15 f or this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again; and I would heal them.’

فَقَدْ صارَ ذِهْنُ هَذا الشَّعبِ بَلِيداً، وَصارَ سَمَعُهُمْ ثَقيلاً. أغمَضُوا عُيُونَهُمْ، فَلا يَقدِرُونَ أنْ يُلاحِظُوا بِعُيُونِهِمْ، وَلا أنْ يَسْمَعُوا بِآذانِهِمْ، وَلا أنْ يَفهَمُوا بِقُلُوبِهِمْ، لِكَيلا يَرجِعُوا إلَيَّ فَأُشْفِيْهِمْ.›

16 “ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

أمّا أنتُمْ فَهَنِيئاً لِعُيُونِكُمْ لِأنَّها تَرَى، وَآذانِكُمْ لِأنَّها تَسمَعُ.

17 F or most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.

أقولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ، إنَّ مُلُوكاً وَأبراراً كَثِيْرِينَ اشْتاقَوا أنْ يَرَوا ما تَرَونَ وَلَمْ يَرَوا، وَاشْتَهَوا أنْ يَسمَعُوا ما تَسمَعُونَ وَلَمْ يَسمَعُوا. مَعنَى مَثَلِ البِذار

18 “ Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.

«فَاسْتَمِعُوا إلَى شَرْحِ مَثَلِ البِذارِ:

19 W hen anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.

عِندَما يَسمَعُ شَخصٌ رِسالَةَ المَلَكُوتِ وَلا يَفهَمُها، يَأتِي الشِّرِّيرُ وَيَأخُذُ البُذُورَ الَّتِي زُرِعَتْ فِي قَلْبِهِ. هَذا هُوَ مَعنَى البُذُورِ الَّتِي سَقَطَتْ إلَى جانِبِ الطَّرِيقِ.

20 W hat was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;

«أمّا الَّتي سَقَطَتْ عَلَى الأرْضِ الصَّخرِيَّةِ، فَتُشْبِهُ مَنْ يَسمَعُ الكَلِمَةَ فَيَقبَلُها حالاً بِفَرَحٍ،

21 y et he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

لَكِنْ لأنَّهُ بِلا جُذُورٍ فِي نَفسِهِ، فَإنَّهُ يَصْمُدُ لِوَقتٍ قَصِيرٍ، وَعِندَما يَأتِي الضِّيقُ وَالاضطِهادُ بِسَبَبِ الكَلِمَةِ الَّتِي قَبِلَها، يَفقِدُ إيمانَهُ سَرِيعاً.

22 W hat was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

«أمّا الَّتي سَقَطَتْ بَينَ الأشواكِ، فَتُشبِهُ مَنْ يَسمَعُ الكَلِمَةَ، لَكِّنَّ هُمُومَ الحَياةِ، وَإغراءتِ المالِ تَخنُقُ الكَلِمَةَ، فَلا تُثمِرُ.

23 W hat was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and produces, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”

«أمّا الَّذي زُرِعَ عَلَى الأرْضِ الصّالِحَةِ، فَهُوَ الَّذي يَسْمَعُ الكَلِمَةَ وَيَفهَمُها فَيُثمِرَ بِالفِعِلِ. فَيَحصُدَ مَرَّةً مِئَةَ ضِعفٍ، وَمَرَّةً سِتِّينَ ضِعفاً، وَمَرَّةً ثَلاثِينَ ضِعفاً.» مَثَلُ القَمحِ وَالأعشابِ الضّارَّة

24 H e set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,

وَقالَ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً آخَرَ: «يُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ رَجُلاً زَرَعَ بُذُوراً جَيِّدَةً فِي حَقلِهِ.

25 b ut while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away.

وَلَكِنْ بَينَما كانَ النّاسُ نائِمِينَ، جاءَ عَدُوُّ الرَّجُلِ وَبَذَرَ أعشاباً ضارَّةً بَينَ القَمحِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ.

26 B ut when the blade sprang up and produced fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.

وَعِندَما نَبَتَ القَمحُ وَشَكَّلَ سَنابِلَ، نَبَتَتِ الأعشابُ الضّارَّةُ كَذَلِكَ.

27 T he servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’

فَجاءَ إلَيهِ عَبِيدُهُ وَقالُوا لَهُ: ‹يا سَيِّدُ، ألَمْ تَزرَعْ بُذُوراً جَيِدَةً فِي حَقلِكَ؟ فَمِنْ أينَ إذاً جاءَتْ هَذِهِ الأعشابُ الضّارَّةُ؟›

28 “ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

«فَأجابَهُمُ الرَّجُلُ: ‹عَدُوِّي فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ.› فَسَألَهُ عَبِيدُهُ: ‹هَلْ تُرِيدُنا أنْ نَذهَبَ وَنَقتَلِعَها؟›

29 “ But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

«فَأجابَ الرَّجُلُ: ‹لا، لِأنَّكُمْ عِندَما تَقتَلِعُونَ الأعشابَ الضّارَّةَ، قَدْ تَقتَلِعُونَ القَمحَ مَعَها.

30 L et both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

دَعُوهُما يَنمُوانِ مَعاً حَتَّى وَقتِ الحَصادِ، حِينَئِذٍ سَأقُولُ لِلحَصّادِينَ: ‹اجمَعُوا الأعشابَ الضّارَّةَ أوَّلاً، وَاحزِمُوها فِي حُزَمٍ لِلحَرِيقِ. أمّا القَمحُ فَاجمَعُوهُ وَضَعُوهُ فِي مِخزَنِي.›» مَثَلا الخَردَلِ وَالخَميرَة

31 H e set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field;

ثُمَّ قالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ مَثَلاً آخَرَ: «يُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ بِذرَةَ خَردَلٍ أخَذَها إنسانٌ وَزَرَعَها فِي حَقلِهِ.

32 w hich indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”

إنَّها أصغَرُ البُذُورِ. لَكِنْ عِندَما تَنمُو، فَإنَّها تَكُونُ أكبَرَ نَباتاتِ البَساتِينِ، إذْ تُصبِحُ شَجَرَةً كَبِيرَةً، حَتَّىْ إنَّ طُيورَ السَّماءِ تَأتِي إلَيها، وَتَصنَعُ أعشاشَها فِي أغصانِها.»

33 H e spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”

وَقالَ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً آخَرَ: «يُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ خَمِيرَةً أخَذَتْها امْرأةٌ وَخَلَطَتْها فِي ثَلاثَةِ مَقادِيْرَ مِنَ الطَّحِينِ حَتَّى اختَمَرَ العَجينُ كُلُّهُ.»

34 J esus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,

قالَ يَسُوعُ كُلَّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ مُستَخدِماً الأمثالَ. وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُكَلِّمُ النّاسَ إلّا بِأمثالٍ.

35 t hat it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”

فَهَذا هُوَ ما قالَهُ اللهُ عَلَىْ لِسانِ النَّبِيِّ: «سَأفتَحُ فَمِي بِأمثالٍ، وَسَأنطِقُ بِأُمُورٍ مَخفِيَّةٍ مُنذُ أنْ خُلِقَ العالَمُ.»

36 T hen Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”

حِينَئِذٍ صَرَفَ يَسُوعُ الجُمُوعَ، وَدَخَلَ إلَى البَيتِ. فَتَقَدَّمَ إلَيهِ تَلامِيذُهُ وَقالوا: «اشْرَحْ لَنا مَثَلَ الأعشابِ الضّارَّةِ فِي الحَقلِ.»

37 H e answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,

فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «الَّذِي زَرَعَ البُذُورَ الجَيِّدَةَ هُوَ ابْنُ الإنسانِ،

38 t he field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.

وَالحَقلُ هُوَ العالَمُ، وَالبُذُورُ الجَيِّدَةُ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَهُمُ المَلَكُوتُ. أمّا الأعشابَ الضّارَّةُ فَهُمُ الَّذِينَ يَنتَمونَ إلَى الشِّرِّيرِ.

39 T he enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.

وَالعَدُوُّ الَّذِي بَذَرَهُمْ هُوَ إبلِيسُ. وَالحَصادُ هُوَ نِهايَةُ العالَمِ. وَالحَصّادُونَ هُمُ المَلائِكَةُ.

40 A s therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

«وَكَما أنَّ الأعشابَ الضّارَّةَ تُجمَعُ وَتُحرَقُ بِالنّارِ، هَكَذا سَتَكُونُ نِهايَةُ العالَمِ.

41 T he Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,

إذْ سَيُرسِلُ ابْنُ الإنسانِ مَلائِكَتَهُ الَّذِينَ سَيَجمَعُونَ مِنْ مَلَكُوتِهِ كُلَّ المُفسِدِينَ وَالأشرارِ،

42 a nd will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

ثُمَّ يَطرَحُونَهُمْ فِي الفُرنِ المُشتَعِلِ. هُناكَ يَبكِي النّاسُ وَيَصِرُّونَ عَلَى أسنانِهِمْ.

43 T hen the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

حِينَئِذٍ سَيَسْطَعُ الأبرارُ كَالشَّمسِ فِي مَلَكُوتِ أبِيهِمْ. مَنْ لَهُ أُذُنانِ، فَلْيَسمَعْ. مَثَلا الكَنْزِ وَالَلُؤلُؤَة

44 “ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

«يُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ كَنْزاً مَدفُوناً فِي حَقلٍ. وَجَدَهُ شَخصٌ فَدَفَنَهُ ثانِيَةً. وَلِشِدَّةِ فَرَحِهِ، ذَهَبَ وَباعَ كُلَّ ما يَملِكُهُ وَاشتَرَى ذَلِكَ الحَقلَ.

45 “ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,

«وَيُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ تاجِراً يَبحَثُ عَنْ لآلِئَ جَمِيلَةٍ.

46 w ho having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

وَعِندَما وَجَدَ لُؤلُؤَةً ثَمِينَةً جِدّاً، ذَهَبَ وَباعَ كُلَّ ما يِملِكُهُ وَاشْتَراها. مَثَلُ شَبَكَةِ الصَّيد

47 “ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind,

«وَيُشبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّماواتِ شَبَكَةً أُلقِيَتْ إلَى البُحَيرَةِ، وَأمسَكَتْ سَمَكاً مِنْ أنواعٍ مُختَلِفَةٍ.

48 w hich, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.

وَعِندَما امتَلأتِ الشَّبَكَةُ، سَحَبَها الصَّيّادُونَ إلَى الشّاطِئِ. ثُمَّ جَلَسُوا وَأخَذُوا يَختارُونَ السَّمَكَ الجَيِّدَ وَيَضَعُونَهُ فِي سِلالٍ، أمّا السَّمَكُ الرَّدِيءُ فَألقُوهُ خارِجاً.

49 S o will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

هَذا ما سَيَحدُثُ فِي نِهايَةِ العالَمِ، إذْ سَتَأتِي المَلائِكَةُ وَسَتَفصِلُ الأشرارَ عَنِ الأبرارِ،

50 a nd will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”

ثُمَّ تُلقِي الأشرارَ إلَى الفُرنِ المُشتَعِلِ. هُناكَ يَبكِي النّاسُ وَيَصِرُّونَ عَلَى أسنانِهِمْ.»

51 J esus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”

وَسَألَ يَسُوعُ تَلامِيذَهُ: «هَلْ تَفهَمُونَ جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ؟» فَأجابُوا: «نَعَمْ.»

52 H e said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «لِذَلِكَ كُلُّ مُعَلِّمٍ لِلشَّرِيعَةِ يَتَعَلَّمُ عَنْ مَلَكُوتِ السَّماواتِ، هُوَ مِثلُ رَبِّ بَيتٍ يُخرِجُ مِنْ مَخزَنِ البَيتِ أشياءً جَدِيدَةً وَأشياءً عَتِيقَةً.» يَسُوعُ يَذهَبُ إلَى مَدِينَتِه

53 W hen Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.

وَلَمّا انتَهَى يَسُوعُ مِنَ سَرْدِ تِلكَ الأمثالِ، تَرَكَ ذَلِكَ المَكانَ.

54 C oming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works?

وَلَمّا ذَهَبَ إلَى بَلدَتِهِ، ابتَدَأ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ فِي مَجمَعِهِمْ. فَاندَهَشَ الجَمِيعُ وَقالُوا: «مِنْ أينَ جاءَ هَذا الرَّجُلُ بِهَذِهِ الحِكْمَةِ وَهَذِهِ المُعجِزاتِ؟

55 I sn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?

ألَيسَ هُوَ ابْنَ النَّجّارِ؟ ألَيسَتْ أُمُّهُ مَرْيَمَ؟ ألَيسَ إخْوَتُهُ يَعقُوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَسِمعانَ وَيَهُوذا؟

56 A ren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”

ألا تُقيمُ جَمِيعُ أخَواتِهِ بَينَنا؟ فَمِنْ أينَ حَصَلَ عَلَى كُلِّ ما لَدَيهِ؟»

57 T hey were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.”

فَكانَ ذَلِكَ عائِقاً يَمنَعُهُمْ مِنْ قُبُولِهِ. أمّا يَسُوعُ فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «لا يَكُونُ نَبِيٌّ بِلا كَرامَةٍ إلّا فِي وَطَنِهِ وَفِي بَيتِهِ!»

58 H e didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

فَلَمْ يَعمَلْ مُعجِزاتٍ كَثِيرَةً هُناكَ، بِسَبَبِ عَدَمِ إيمانِهِمْ.
