1 P aul, an apostle (not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),

مِنْ بُولُسَ الَّذِي هُوَ رَسُولٌ لا مِنَ النّاسِ، وَلا تَعَيَّنَ بِواسِطَةِ إنسانٍ، بَلْ مِنْ يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ، وَمِنَ اللهِ الآبِ الَّذِي أقامَهُ مِنَ المَوتِ.

2 a nd all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:

وَمِنْ كُلِّ الإخوَةِ الَّذِينَ مَعِي، إلَى الكَنائِسِ الَّتِي فِي مُقاطَعَةِ غَلاطِيَّةَ.

3 G race to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,

لِتَكُنْ لَكُمْ نِعمَةٌ وَسَلامٌ مِنَ اللهِ أبِينا، وَمِنَ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ.

4 w ho gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father—

فَهُوَ الَّذِي قَدَّمَ نَفسَهُ لِكَي يَرفَعَ عَنّا خَطايانا، وَيُحَرِّرَنا مِنْ هَذا العالَمِ الشِّرِّيرِ الَّذِي نَعِيشُ فِيهِ. وَذَلِكَ بِحَسَبِ إرادَةِ اللهِ أبِينا.

5 t o whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

لَهُ المَجدُ إلَى أبَدِ الآبِدِينَ. آمِينْ. بِشارَةٌ حَقِيقِيَّةٌ واحِدَة

6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”;

إنِّي مُندَهِشٌ لِأنَّكُمْ تَتَخَلُّونَ سَرِيعاً عَنِ اللهِ الَّذِي دَعاكُمْ بِنِعْمَةِ المَسِيحِ، وَتَتَحَوَّلُونَ إلَى بِشارَةٍ أُخْرَى.

7 a nd there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.

مَعَ أنَّهُ لَيسَ هُناكَ بِشارَةٌ أُخْرَى، لَكِنْ هُناكَ أشخاصٌ يُربِكُونَكُمْ، وَيُحاوِلُونَ أنْ يُشَوِّهُوا بِشارَةَ المَسِيحِ.

8 B ut even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.

وَلَكِنْ حَتَّى إنْ جِئْنا نَحْنُ، أوْ مَلاكٌ مِنَ السَّماءِ، وَبَشَّرْناكُمْ بِبِشارَةٍ أُخْرَى تَختَلِفُ عَنِ البِشارَةِ الَّتِي بَشَّرْناكُمْ بِها، فَلْيَكُنْ مَنْ بَشَّرَكُمْ مَلعُوناً.

9 A s we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

وَكَما قُلْنا سابِقاً، أقُولُ لَكُمُ الآنَ ثانِيَةً: إنْ بَشَّرَكُمْ أحَدٌ بِبِشارَةٍ تَخْتَلِفُ عَنِ الَّتِي قَبِلْتُمُوها، فَلْيَكُنْ مَلعُوناً.

10 F or am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.

أتَظُنُّونَ أنَّنِي أُحاوِلُ بِكَلامي هَذا أنْ أربَحَ تَأْيِيدَ النّاسِ أمْ تَأْيِيدَ اللهِ؟ أوْ هَلْ أُرِيدُ أنْ أُرضِيَ النّاسَ؟ لَو كُنْتُ أُرِيدُ أنْ أُرضِيَ النّاسَ، لَما كُنْتُ خادِماً لِلمَسِيحِ. سُلْطانُ بُولُسَ مِنَ الله

11 B ut I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man.

أيُّها الإخوَةُ، أُرِيدُكُمْ أنْ تَعرِفُوا أنَّ البِشارَةَ الَّتِي بَشَّرْتُكُمْ بِها لَيسَتْ مِنْ مَصْدَرٍ بَشَرِيٍّ.

12 F or neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.

فَأنا لَمْ آخُذْها مِنْ إنسانٍ، وَلَمْ يُعَلِّمْنِي إيّاها إنسانٌ، وَلَكِنَّ يَسُوعَ المَسِيحَ كَشَفَها لِي.

13 F or you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it.

قَدْ سَمِعْتُمْ عَنْ سِيرَةِ حَياتِي السّابِقَةِ عِندَما كُنْتُ يَهُودِيّاً. وَتَعلَمُونَ بِأنِّي أسَأْتُ إلَى كَنِيسَةِ اللهِ بِقَسْوَةٍ، وَحاوَلْتُ أنْ أُدَمِّرَها.

14 I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

وَقَدْ كُنْتُ مُتَفَوِّقاً عَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ كانوا فِي مِثلِ عُمْرِي مِنَ اليَهُودِ، لِأنِّي كُنْتُ أكثَرَ إخلاصاً مِنْهُمْ لِتَقالِيدِ الآباءِ.

15 B ut when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace,

لَكِنَّ اللهَ اختارَنِي قَبلَ أنْ أُولَدَ، وَدَعانِي بِالنِّعمَةِ إلَى خِدْمَتِهِ.

16 t o reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn’t immediately confer with flesh and blood,

وَلَمّا قَرَّرَ أنْ يُعلِنَ لِي ابْنَهُ، لِكَي أُبَشِّرَ بِهِ بَينَ غَيرِ اليَهُودِ، لَمْ أستَشِرْ إنساناً،

17 n or did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.

وَلَمْ أذهَبْ إلَى مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ لِأُقابِلَ الرُّسُلَ الَّذِينَ كانُوا قَبلِي، بَلْ ذَهَبْتُ فَوراً إلَى أرْضِ العَرَبِ، ثُمَّ عُدْتُ إلَى دِمَشْقَ.

18 T hen after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.

وَبَعْدَ ثَلاثِ سَنَواتٍ، ذَهَبْتُ إلَى القُدْسِ لِأتَعَرَّفَ بِبُطرُسَ، وَأقَمْتُ عِندَهُ أُسبُوعَينِ.

19 B ut of the other apostles I saw no one, except James, the Lord’s brother.

وَلَمْ أرَ رَسُولاً آخَرَ سِوَى يَعقُوبَ أخِي الرَّبِّ.

20 N ow about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I’m not lying.

يَشْهَدُ اللهُ عَلَى أنِّي لا أكذِبُ فِيما أكتُبُهُ.

21 T hen I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ جِئْتُ إلَى بِلادِ سُورِيَّةَ وَكِيلِيكِيَّةَ.

22 I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ,

وَلَمْ أكُنْ مَعرُوفاً لَدَى كَنائِسِ المَسيحِ الواقِعَةِ فِي إقليمِ اليَهُودِيَّةِ.

23 b ut they only heard: “He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy.”

لَكِنَّهُمْ كانُوا يَسْمَعُونَ النّاسَ يَقُولُونَ: «إنَّ الَّذِي كانَ يُسِيئُ إلَينا سابِقاً، يُبَشِّرُ الآنَ بِالإيمانِ الَّذِي حاوَلَ أنْ يُدَمِّرَهُ!»

24 A nd they glorified God in me.

فَكانُوا يُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ بِسَبَبِي.
