1 A leluya. ALABA, oh alma mía, á Jehová.

Praise ye Jehovah. Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

2 A labaré á Jehová en mi vida: Cantaré salmos á mi Dios mientras viviere.

While I live will I praise Jehovah: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

3 N o confiéis en los príncipes, Ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salud.

Put not your trust in princes, Nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 S aldrá su espíritu, tornaráse en su tierra: En aquel día perecerán sus pensamientos.

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

5 B ienaventurado aquel en cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, Cuya esperanza es en Jehová su Dios:

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in Jehovah his God:

6 E l cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, La mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; Que guarda verdad para siempre;

Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that in them is; Who keepeth truth for ever;

7 Q ue hace derecho á los agraviados; Que da pan á los hambrientos: Jehová suelta á los aprisionados;

Who executeth justice for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

8 J ehová abre los ojos á los ciegos; Jehová levanta á los caídos; Jehová ama á los justos.

Jehovah openeth the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

9 J ehová guarda á los extranjeros; Al huérfano y á la viuda levanta; Y el camino de los impíos trastorna.

Jehovah preserveth the sojourners; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

10 R einará Jehová para siempre; Tu Dios, oh Sión, por generación y generación. Aleluya.

Jehovah will reign for ever, Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye Jehovah.
