1 I n his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim was his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

Zu seiner Zeit zog herauf Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, und Jojakim war ihm untertänig drei Jahre; und er wandte sich und ward abtrünnig von ihm.

2 A nd Jehovah sent against him the bands of the Chaldeans, and the bands of the Syrians, and the bands of the Moabites, and the bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servants the prophets.

Und der HERR ließ auf ihn Kriegsknechte kommen aus Chaldäa, aus Syrien, aus Moab und aus den Kindern Ammon und ließ sie nach Juda kommen, daß sie es verderbten, nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch seine Knechte, die Propheten.

3 V erily, at the commandment of Jehovah it came to pass against Judah, that they should be removed out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done;

Es geschah aber Juda also nach dem Wort des HERRN, daß er sie von seinem Angesicht täte um der Sünden willen Manasses, die er getan hatte;

4 a nd also the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah would not pardon.

auch um des unschuldigen Blutes willen, das er vergoß und machte Jerusalem voll mit unschuldigem Blut, wollte der HERR nicht vergeben.

5 A nd the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Was aber mehr zu sagen ist von Jojakim und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.

6 A nd Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

Und Jojakim entschlief mit seinen Vätern. Und sein Sohn Jojachin ward König an seiner Statt.

7 A nd the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land, for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt, from the torrent of Egypt to the river Euphrates.

Und der König von Ägypten zog nicht mehr aus seinem Lande; denn der König zu Babel hatte ihm genommen alles, was dem König zu Ägypten gehörte vom Bach Ägyptens an bis an das Wasser Euphrat.

8 J ehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

Achtzehn Jahre alt war Jojachin, da er König ward, und regierte drei Monate zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Nehusta, eine Tochter Elnathans von Jerusalem.

9 A nd he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father had done.

Und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie sein Vater getan hatte.

10 A t that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

Zu der Zeit zogen herauf die Knechte Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, gen Jerusalem und kamen an die Stadt mit Bollwerk.

11 A nd Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, while his servants were besieging it.

Und Nebukadnezar kam zur Stadt, da seine Knechte sie belagerten.

12 A nd Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his chamberlains; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

Aber Jojachin, der König Juda's, ging heraus zum König von Babel mit seiner Mutter, mit seinen Knechten, mit seinen Obersten und Kämmerern; und der König von Babel nahm ihn gefangen im achten Jahr seines Königreiches.

13 A nd he brought out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

Und er nahm von dort heraus alle Schätze im Hause des HERRN und im Hause des Königs und zerschlug alle goldenen Gefäße, die Salomo, der König Israels, gemacht hatte im Tempel des HERRN, wie denn der HERR geredet hatte.

14 A nd he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained but the poorest sort of the people of the land.

Und führte weg das ganze Jerusalem, alle Obersten, alle Gewaltigen, zehntausend Gefangene, und alle Zimmerleute und alle Schmiede und ließ nichts übrig denn geringes Volk des Landes.

15 A nd he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land, he led into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon;

Und er führte weg Jojachin gen Babel, die Mutter des Königs, die Weiber des Königs und seine Kämmerer; dazu die Mächtigen im Lande führte er auch gefangen von Jerusalem gen Babel,

16 a nd all the men of valour, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all strong men apt for war, and the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.

und was der besten Leute waren, siebentausend, und Zimmerleute und Schmiede, tausend, alles starke Kriegsmänner; und der König von Babel brachte sie gen Babel.

17 A nd the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his uncle king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

Und der König von Babel machte Matthanja, Jojachins Oheim, zum König an seiner Statt und wandelte seinen Namen in Zedekia.

18 Z edekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

Einundzwanzig Jahre alt war Zedekia, da er König ward, und regierte elf Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Hamutal, eine Tochter Jeremia's von Libna.

19 A nd he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

Und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie Jojakim getan hatte.

20 F or, because the anger of Jehovah was against Jerusalem and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Denn es geschah also mit Jerusalem und Juda aus dem Zorn des HERRN, bis daß er sie von seinem Angesicht würfe. Und Zedekia ward abtrünnig vom König zu Babel.
