1 T his is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness.
This is the book of the children of Adam and of their children’s children. When God made man, He made him in the likeness of God.
2 H e created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them “Adam”.
He made them male and female, and brought good to them. And He gave them the name Man when they were made.
3 A dam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
When Adam had lived 130 years, he gave birth to a son in his own likeness. And he gave him the name Seth.
4 T he days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Adam lived 800 years after he became the father of Seth. He had other sons and daughters.
5 A ll the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, then he died.
So Adam lived 930 years, and he died.
6 S eth lived one hundred five years, then became the father of Enosh.
When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enosh.
7 S eth lived after he became the father of Enosh eight hundred seven years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Seth lived 807 years after the birth of Enosh. He had other sons and daughters.
8 A ll of the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died.
So Seth lived 912 years, and he died.
9 E nosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
When Enosh had lived ninety years, he became the father of Kenan.
10 E nosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, eight hundred fifteen years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Enosh lived 815 years after the birth of Kenan. He had other sons and daughters.
11 A ll of the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, then he died.
So Enosh lived 905 years, and he died.
12 K enan lived seventy years, then became the father of Mahalalel.
When Kenan had lived seventy years, he became the father of Mahalalel.
13 K enan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel eight hundred forty years, and became the father of other sons and daughters

Mahalalel lived 830 years after the birth of Jared. He had other sons and daughters.
17 A ll of the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years, then he died.
So Mahalalel lived 895 years, and he died.
18 J ared lived one hundred sixty-two years, then became the father of Enoch.
When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.
19 J ared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Jared lived 800 years after the birth of Enoch. He had other sons and daughters.
20 A ll of the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, then he died.
So Jared lived 962 years, and he died.
21 E noch lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Methuselah.
When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methuselah.
22 A fter Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
Enoch walked with God 300 years after the birth of Methuselah. He had other sons and daughters.
23 A ll the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
So Enoch lived 365 years.
24 E noch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.

25 M ethuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, then became the father of Lamech.
When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.
26 M ethuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Methuselah lived 782 years after the birth of Lamech. He had other sons and daughters.
27 A ll the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.
So Methuselah lived 969 years, and he died.
28 L amech lived one hundred eighty-two years, then became the father of a son.
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he became the father of a son.
29 H e named him Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which Yahweh has cursed.”
He gave him the name Noah. He said, “This one will give us rest from our work, from the hard work of our hands because the ground was cursed by the Lord.”
30 L amech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Lamech lived 595 years after the birth of Noah. He had other sons and daughters.
31 A ll the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, then he died.
So Lamech lived 777 years, and he died.
32 N oah was five hundred years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
When Noah had lived 500 years, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
