1 P raise Yah! Praise, you servants of Yahweh, praise Yahweh’s name.

Praise the Lord! Praise Him, O you who serve the Lord. Praise the name of the Lord.

2 B lessed be Yahweh’s name, from this time forward and forever more.

Let the name of the Lord be honored, now and forever.

3 F rom the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Yahweh’s name is to be praised.

The name of the Lord is to be praised from the time the sun rises to when it sets.

4 Y ahweh is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.

The Lord is high above all nations. His shining-greatness is above the heavens.

5 W ho is like Yahweh, our God, who has his seat on high,

Who is like the Lord our God? He sits on His throne on high.

6 W ho stoops down to see in heaven and in the earth?

He looks down upon the heavens and the earth.

7 H e raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap;

He raises the poor from the dust. He lifts those in need from the ashes.

8 t hat he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

He makes them sit with rulers, with the rulers of His people.

9 H e settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother of children. Praise Yah!

He gives a home to the woman who could not give birth and makes her the mother of children. Praise the Lord!
