1 D ies ist das Wort des HERRN, welches geschah zu Micha von Moreseth zur Zeit des Jotham, Ahas und Hiskia, der Könige Juda's, das er gesehen hat über Samaria und Jerusalem.

This is the Word of the Lord which came to Micah of Moresheth about Samaria and Jerusalem in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Israel Is Judged

2 H ört, alle Völker! merke auf, Land, und alles, was darinnen ist! denn Gott der HERR hat mit euch zu reden, ja, der HERR aus seinem heiligen Tempel.

Hear, O people, all of you. Listen, O earth and all who are in it. The Lord God will speak against you from His holy house.

3 D enn siehe, der HERR wird ausgehen aus seinem Ort und herabfahren und treten auf die Höhen im Lande,

See, the Lord is coming from His place. He will come down and walk on the high places of the earth.

4 d aß die Berge unter ihm schmelzen und die Täler reißend werden, gleichwie Wachs vor dem Feuer zerschmilzt, wie die Wasser, so niederwärts fließen.

The mountains will melt under Him and the valleys will break open, like a candle in front of the fire, like water poured down a hill.

5 D as alles um der Übertretung willen Jakobs und um der Sünden willen des Hauses Israel. Welches ist aber die Übertretung Jakobs? Ist's nicht Samaria? Welches sind aber die Höhen Juda's? Ist's nicht Jerusalem?

All this is because Jacob would not obey and because of the sins of the people of Israel. What is Jacob’s sin? Is it not Samaria? What is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

6 U nd ich will Samaria zum Steinhaufen im Felde machen, daß man ihre Steine um die Weinberge legt, und will ihre Steine ins Tal schleifen und sie bis zum Grund einbrechen.

So I will make Samaria a waste in the open country, making it a place to plant grape-fields. I will pour her stones down into the valley, and lay open the base of the city.

7 A lle ihre Götzen sollen zerbrochen und all ihr Hurenlohn soll mit Feuer verbrannt werden; und ich will ihre Bilder verwüsten, denn sie sind von Hurenlohn zusammengebracht und sollen auch wieder Hurenlohn werden.

All of her false gods will be broken to pieces. Everything given in the place of worship will be burned with fire. I will destroy all her objects of worship, for she gathered them from the pay of a woman who sells the use of her body. They will return to pay a woman who sells the use of her body. Jerusalem Will Be Taken

8 D arüber muß ich klagen und heulen, ich muß beraubt und bloß dahergehen; ich muß klagen wie die Schakale und trauern wie die Strauße.

Because of this I must cry out in sorrow. I must go without shoes and clothing. I must cry out like the wild dogs, and cry in sorrow like the ostriches.

9 D enn es ist kein Rat für ihre Plage, die bis gen Juda kommen und bis an meines Volkes Tor, bis Jerusalem hinanreichen wird.

For her hurt cannot be cured. It has come to Judah. It has come to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

10 V erkündigt's ja nicht zu Gath; laßt euer Weinen nicht hören zu Akko; in Beth-Leaphra setzt euch in die Asche.

Do not tell about it in Gath. Do not cry at all. Roll in the dust in Beth-leaphrah.

11 D u Einwohnerin Saphirs mußt dahin mit allen Schanden; die Einwohnerin Zaenans wird nicht ausziehen; das Leid Beth-Haezels wird euch wehren, daß ihr da euch lagert.

Go on your way, people of Shaphir, without clothing and in shame. The people of Zaanan do not come out. Cries of sorrow come from Beth-ezel. Its help is taken from you.

12 D ie Einwohnerin Maroths vermag sich nicht zu trösten; denn es wird das Unglück vom Herrn kommen auch bis an das Tor Jerusalems.

Those who live in Maroth become weak waiting for good, because trouble has come down from the Lord to the gate of Jerusalem.

13 D u Stadt Lachis, spanne Renner an und fahre davon! denn du bist der Tochter Zion der Anfang zur Sünde, und in dir sind gefunden die Übertretungen Israels.

Tie the war-wagons to the horses, you people of Lachish. You were the beginning of sin to the people of Zion, for the sins of Israel were found in you.

14 D u wirst dich müssen scheiden von Moreseth-Gath. Mit der Stadt Achsib wird's den Königen Israels fehlgehen.

So give gifts to Moresheth-gath. The people of Achzib will fool the kings of Israel.

15 I ch will dir, Maresa, den rechten Erben bringen und die Herrlichkeit Israels soll kommen bis gen Adullam.

I will bring one who will beat you in battle, O people of Mareshah. The shining-greatness of Israel will come to Adullam.

16 L aß die Haare abscheren und gehe kahl um deiner zarten Kinder willen; mache dich ganz kahl wie ein Adler, denn sie sind von dir gefangen weggeführt.

Cut off all your hair in sorrow for the children you love. Let no hair be on your head like the eagle, for your children will be taken away from you.
