3 D er HERR hat Großes an uns getan; des sind wir fröhlich.

The Lord has done great things for us and we are glad.

4 H ERR, bringe wieder unsere Gefangenen, wie du die Bäche wiederbringst im Mittagslande.

Bring back our people, O Lord, like the rivers in the South.

5 D ie mit Tränen säen, werden mit Freuden ernten.

Those who plant with tears will gather fruit with songs of joy.

6 S ie gehen hin und weinen und tragen edlen Samen und kommen mit Freuden und bringen ihre Garben.

He who goes out crying as he carries his bag of seed will return with songs of joy as he brings much grain with him.
