1 U nd des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

The Word of the Lord came to me saying,

2 D u Menschenkind, richte dein Angesicht gegen die Kinder Ammon und weissage wider sie

“Son of man, look toward the Ammonites and speak against them.

3 u nd sprich zu den Kindern Ammon: Höret des HERRN HERRN Wort! So spricht der HERR HERR: Darum daß ihr über mein Heiligtum sprecht: "Ha! es ist entheiligt!" und über das Land Israel: "Es ist verwüstet!" und über das Haus Juda: "Es ist gefangen weggeführt!",

Tell them, ‘Hear the Word of the Lord God! The Lord God says, “Because you were happy when My holy place was made unclean, and when the land of Israel was made waste, and when the people of Judah were taken away,

4 d arum siehe, ich will dich den Kindern des Morgenlandes übergeben, daß sie ihre Zeltdörfer in dir bauen und ihre Wohnungen in dir machen sollen; sie sollen deine Früchte essen und deine Milch trinken.

I am going to give you to the people of the east. They will put up their tents among you and live among you. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.

5 U nd will Rabba zum Kamelstall machen und das Land der Kinder Ammon zu Schafhürden machen; und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.

I will turn the city of Rabbah into a field for camels, and Ammon into a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

6 D enn so spricht der HERR HERR: Darum daß du mit deinen Händen geklatscht und mit den Füßen gescharrt und über das Land Israel von ganzem Herzen so höhnisch dich gefreut hast,

For the Lord God says, “Because you have clapped your hands and crushed under your feet and showed your joy because of your hate for Israel,

7 d arum siehe, ich will meine Hand über dich ausstrecken und dich den Heiden zur Beute geben und dich aus den Völkern ausrotten und aus den Ländern umbringen und dich vertilgen; und sollst erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.

I have put out My hand against you. I will give you away to the nations. And I will destroy you from the nations and from the lands. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” Word against Moab

8 S o spricht der HERR HERR: Darum daß Moab und Seir sprechen: Siehe das Haus Juda ist eben wie alle Heiden!

‘The Lord God says, “Because Moab and Seir say, ‘See, Judah is like all the nations,’

9 s iehe, so will ich Moab zur Seite öffnen in seinen Städten und in seinen Grenzen, das edle Land von Beth-Jesimoth, Baal-Meon und Kirjathaim,

I will lay waste the side of Moab, beginning with these cities there, Beth-jeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim, the best of the country.

10 u nd will es den Kindern des Morgenlandes zum Erbe geben samt dem Lande der Kinder Ammon, daß man der Kinder Ammon nicht mehr gedenken soll unter den Heiden.

I will give it to the people of the east, as I did with Ammon, so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations.

11 U nd will das Recht gehen lassen über Moab; und sie sollen erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.

I will punish Moab, and they will know that I am the Lord.” Word against Edom

12 S o spricht der HERR HERR: Darum daß sich Edom am Hause Juda gerächt hat und sich verschuldet mit seinem Rächen,

‘The Lord God says, “Because Edom has fought against Judah in its anger, and has become very guilty by doing so,”

13 d arum spricht der HERR HERR also: Ich will meine Hand ausstrecken über Edom und will ausrotten von ihm Menschen und Vieh und will es wüst machen von Theman bis gen Dedan und durchs Schwert fällen;

the Lord God says, “I will put out My hand against Edom and kill its men and their animals. I will destroy it and they will fall by the sword from Teman to Dedan.

14 u nd will mich an Edom rächen durch mein Volk Israel, und sie sollen mit Edom umgehen nach meinem Zorn und Grimm, daß sie meine Rache erfahren sollen, spricht der HERR HERR.

I will punish Edom by the hand of My people Israel. They will act in My anger against Edom, and Edom will know My anger,” says the Lord God. Word against Philistia

15 S o spricht der HERR HERR: Darum daß die Philister sich gerächt haben und den alten Haß gebüßt nach allem ihrem Willen am Schaden meines Volkes,

‘The Lord God says, “Because the Philistines have fought to destroy Judah with the lasting anger that is in their hearts,”

16 d arum spricht der HERR HERR also: Siehe, ich will meine Hand ausstrecken über die Philister und die Krether ausrotten und will die übrigen am Ufer des Meeres umbringen;

the Lord God says, “I will put out My hand against the Philistines. And I will destroy the Cherethites and those left beside the sea.

17 u nd will große Rache an ihnen üben und mit Grimm sie strafen, daß sie erfahren sollen, ich sei der HERR, wenn ich meine Rache an ihnen geübt habe.

I will punish them in My anger, and they will know that I am the Lord when I punish them.”’”
