1 A l SEÑOR llamé estando en angustia, y él me respondió.

In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.

2 L ibra mi alma, oh SEÑOR, del labio mentiroso, de la lengua engañosa.

Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

3 ¿ Qué te dará a ti, o qué te añadirá la lengua engañosa?

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

4 A gudas saetas de valiente, con brasas de enebro.

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

5 ¶ ¡Ay de mí, que peregrino en Mesec, y habito con las tiendas de Cedar!

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6 M ucho se detiene mi alma con los que aborrecen la paz.

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

7 Y o soy pacífico; y cuando hablo, ellos guerrean.

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
