1 ¶ Esta tercera vez voy a vosotros. En la boca de dos o de tres testigos consistirá toda palabra.

This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2 Y a he dicho antes, y ahora digo otra vez como si fuera presente por segunda vez, y ahora ausente lo escribo a los que antes pecaron, y a todos los demás, que si voy otra vez, no perdonaré;

I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

3 p ues buscáis una prueba de Cristo que habla en mí, el cual no es flaco para con vosotros, antes es poderoso en vosotros.

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4 P orque aunque fue colgado en un madero por flaqueza, sin embargo vive por potencia de Dios. Por lo cual también nosotros somos flacos en él, sin embargo viviremos con él por la potencia de Dios en vosotros.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

5 E xaminaos a vosotros mismos si estáis en la fe; probaos a vosotros mismos. ¿No os conocéis a vosotros mismos, si Jesús, el Cristo, está en vosotros? Si ya no sois reprobados.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

6 M as espero que conoceréis que nosotros no estamos reprobados.

But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

7 ¶ Pero oramos a Dios que ninguna cosa mala hagáis; no para que nosotros seamos hallados aprobados, sino para que vosotros hagáis lo que es bueno, aunque nosotros seamos tenidos por reprobados.

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

8 P orque ninguna cosa podemos contra la verdad, sino por la verdad.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9 P or lo cual nos gozamos que seamos nosotros flacos, y que vosotros seáis poderosos; y aun oramos por vuestra perfección.

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

10 P or tanto os escribo esto ausente, por no trataros en presencia con más dureza, conforme a la potestad que el Señor me ha dado para edificación, y no para destrucción.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

11 ¶ Resta, hermanos, que tengáis gozo, seáis perfectos, tengáis consolación, sintáis una misma cosa, tengáis paz; y el Dios de paz y de caridad sea con vosotros.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

12 S aludaos los unos a los otros con beso santo.

Greet one another with an holy kiss.

13 T odos los santos os saludan.

All the saints salute you.

14 L a gracia del Señor Jesús, el Cristo, y la caridad de Dios, y la comunicación del Espíritu Santo sea con todos vosotros. Amén.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
