1 Y éstas son las cabezas de sus padres, y genealogía de aquellos que subieron conmigo de Babilonia, reinando el rey Artajerjes:

These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.

2 D e los hijos de Finees, Gersón; de los hijos de Itamar, Daniel; de los hijos de David, Hatús;

Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.

3 d e los hijos de Secanías y de los hijos de Paros, Zacarías, y con él, genealogía de varones, ciento cincuenta;

Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.

4 d e los hijos de Pahat-moab, Elioenai, hijo de Zeraías, y con él doscientos varones;

Of the sons of Pahathmoab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.

5 d e los hijos de Secanías, el hijo de Jahaziel, y con él trescientos varones;

Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.

6 d e los hijos de Adín, Ebed, hijo de Jonatán, y con él cincuenta varones;

Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.

7 d e los hijos de Elam, Jesaías, hijo de Atalías, y con él setenta varones;

And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.

8 y de los hijos de Sefatías, Zebadías, hijo de Micael, y con él ochenta varones;

And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.

9 d e los hijos de Joab, Obadías, hijo de Jehiel, y con él doscientos dieciocho varones;

Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.

10 y de los hijos de Selomit, el hijo de Josifías, y con él ciento sesenta varones;

And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.

11 y de los hijos de Bebai, Zacarías, hijo de Bebai, y con él veintiocho varones;

And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.

12 y de los hijos de Azgad, Johanán, hijo de Hacatán, y con él ciento diez varones;

And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.

13 y de los hijos de Adonicam, los postreros, cuyos nombres son éstos, Elifelet, Jeiel, y Semaías, y con ellos sesenta varones;

And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.

14 y de los hijos de Bigvai, Utai y Zabud, y con ellos setenta varones.

Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.

15 Y los junté junto al río que viene a Ahava, y acampamos allí tres días; y habiendo buscado entre el pueblo y entre los sacerdotes, no hallé allí de los hijos de Leví.

And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.

16 E ntonces despaché a Eliezer, a Ariel, a Semaías, a Elnatán, a Jarib, a Elnatán, a Natán, a Zacarías, y a Mesulam, principales; asimismo a Joiarib y a Elnatán, sabios;

Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.

17 y los envié a Iddo, capitán en el lugar de Casifia, y puse en boca de ellos las palabras que habían de hablar a Iddo, y a sus hermanos los netineos en el lugar de Casifia, para que nos trajeran ministros para la Casa de nuestro Dios.

And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

18 Y nos trajeron (según la buena mano de nuestro Dios sobre nosotros), un varón entendido de los hijos de Mahli, hijo de Leví, hijo de Israel; y a Serebías con sus hijos y sus hermanos, dieciocho;

And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

19 y a Hasabías, y con él a Isaía (Jesaías) de los hijos de Merari, a sus hermanos y a sus hijos, veinte;

And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;

20 y de los netineos, a quienes David con los príncipes puso para el ministerio de los levitas, doscientos veinte netineos, todos los cuales fueron declarados por sus nombres.

Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.

21 ¶ Y publiqué ayuno allí junto al río de Ahava, para afligirnos delante de nuestro Dios, para buscar de él camino derecho para nosotros, y para nuestros niños, y para toda nuestra hacienda.

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.

22 P orque tuve vergüenza de pedir al rey tropa y gente de a caballo que nos defendieran del enemigo en el camino; porque habíamos hablado al rey, diciendo: La mano de nuestro Dios es sobre todos los que le buscan para bien; mas su fortaleza y su furor sobre todos los que le dejan.

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

23 A yunamos pues, y buscamos a nuestro Dios sobre esto, y él nos fue propicio.

So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.

24 ¶ Aparté luego doce de los principales de los sacerdotes, a Serebías y a Hasabías, y con ellos diez de sus hermanos;

Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,

25 y les pesé la plata, el oro, y los vasos; la ofrenda para la Casa de nuestro Dios que habían ofrecido el rey, sus consultores, y sus príncipes, todos los que se hallaron de Israel.

And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:

26 P esé, pues, en manos de ellos seiscientos cincuenta talentos de plata, y vasos de plata por cien talentos, y cien talentos de oro;

I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;

27 a demás veinte tazones de oro, por mil dracmas; y dos vasos de bronce limpio muy bueno, preciados como el oro.

Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.

28 Y les dije: Vosotros sois santidad al SEÑOR, y los vasos son santidad; y la plata y el oro ofrenda voluntaria al SEÑOR, Dios de nuestros padres.

And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers.

29 V elad, y guardadlos, hasta que los peséis delante de los príncipes de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, y de los príncipes de los padres de Israel en Jerusalén, en las cámaras de la Casa del SEÑOR.

Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.

30 L os sacerdotes y levitas recibieron el peso de la plata y del oro y de los vasos, para traerlo a Jerusalén a la Casa de nuestro Dios.

So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.

31 Y partimos del río de Ahava el doce del mes primero, para ir a Jerusalén; y la mano de nuestro Dios estaba sobre nosotros, el cual nos libró de mano del enemigo y del acechador en el camino.

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.

32 Y llegamos a Jerusalén, y reposamos allí tres días.

And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.

33 A l cuarto día fue luego pesada la plata, el oro, y los vasos, en la Casa de nuestro Dios, por mano de Meremot hijo de Urías sacerdote, y con él Eleazar hijo de Finees; y con ellos Jozabad hijo de Jesúa, y Noadías hijo de Binúi, levitas;

Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;

34 p or cuenta y por peso todo; y se apuntó todo aquel peso en aquel tiempo.

By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.

35 L os que habían venido de la cautividad, los hijos de la transmigración, ofrecieron holocaustos al Dios de Israel, doce becerros por todo Israel, noventa y seis carneros, setenta y siete corderos, doce machos cabríos como pecado; todo en holocausto al SEÑOR.

Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the Lord.

36 Y dieron los despachos del rey a sus virreyes y capitanes del otro lado del río, los cuales favorecieron al pueblo y a la casa de Dios.

And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
