1 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 S on of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Jehovah:

Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan, y di a los que profetizan de su propio corazón: Oíd palabra de Jehová.

3 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah, Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor:!! Ay de los profetas insensatos, que andan en pos de su propio espíritu, y nada han visto!

4 O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.

Como zorras en los desiertos fueron tus profetas, oh Israel.

5 Y e have not gone up into the gaps, neither built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah.

No habéis subido a las brechas, ni habéis edificado un muro alrededor de la casa de Israel, para que resista firme en la batalla en el día de Jehová.

6 T hey have seen falsehood and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith; but Jehovah hath not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.

Vieron vanidad y adivinación mentirosa. Dicen: Ha dicho Jehová, y Jehová no los envió; con todo, esperan que él confirme la palabra de ellos.

7 H ave ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, in that ye say, Jehovah saith; albeit I have not spoken?

¿No habéis visto visión vana, y no habéis dicho adivinación mentirosa, pues que decís: Dijo Jehová, no habiendo yo hablado?

8 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Por cuanto vosotros habéis hablado vanidad, y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí yo estoy contra vosotros, dice Jehová el Señor.

9 A nd my hand shall be against the prophets that see false visions, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

Estará mi mano contra los profetas que ven vanidad y adivinan mentira; no estarán en la congregación de mi pueblo, ni serán inscritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni a la tierra de Israel volverán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová el Señor.

10 B ecause, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar:

Sí, por cuanto engañaron a mi pueblo, diciendo: Paz, no habiendo paz; y uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la recubrían con lodo suelto,

11 s ay unto them that daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

di a los recubridores con lodo suelto, que caerá; vendrá lluvia torrencial, y enviaré piedras de granizo que la hagan caer, y viento tempestuoso la romperá.

12 L o, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

Y he aquí cuando la pared haya caído, ¿no os dirán: ¿Dónde está la embarradura con que la recubristeis?

13 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my wrath; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Haré que la rompa viento tempestuoso con mi ira, y lluvia torrencial vendrá con mi furor, y piedras de granizo con enojo para consumir.

14 S o will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered; and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Así desbarataré la pared que vosotros recubristeis con lodo suelto, y la echaré a tierra, y será descubierto su cimiento, y caerá, y seréis consumidos en medio de ella; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

15 T hus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

Cumpliré así mi furor en la pared y en los que la recubrieron con lodo suelto; y os diré: No existe la pared, ni los que la recubrieron,

16 t o wit, the prophets of Israel that prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and that see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.

los profetas de Israel que profetizan acerca de Jerusalén, y ven para ella visión de paz, no habiendo paz, dice Jehová el Señor.

17 A nd thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

Y tú, hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan de su propio corazón, y profetiza contra ellas,

18 a nd say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew pillows upon all elbows, and make kerchiefs for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and save souls alive for yourselves?

y di: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor:!! Ay de aquellas que cosen vendas mágicas para todas las manos, y hacen velos mágicos para la cabeza de toda edad, para cazar las almas! ¿Habéis de cazar las almas de mi pueblo, para mantener así vuestra propia vida?

19 A nd ye have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hearken unto lies.

¿Y habéis de profanarme entre mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, matando a las personas que no deben morir, y dando vida a las personas que no deben vivir, mintiendo a mi pueblo que escucha la mentira?

20 W herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: He aquí yo estoy contra vuestras vendas mágicas, con que cazáis las almas al vuelo; yo las libraré de vuestras manos, y soltaré para que vuelen como aves las almas que vosotras cazáis volando.

21 Y our kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Romperé asimismo vuestros velos mágicos, y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y no estarán más como presa en vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

22 B ecause with lies ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive:

Por cuanto entristecisteis con mentiras el corazón del justo, al cual yo no entristecí, y fortalecisteis las manos del impío, para que no se apartase de su mal camino, infundiéndole ánimo,

23 T herefore ye shall no more see false visions, nor divine divinations: and I will deliver my people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

por tanto, no veréis más visión vana, ni practicaréis más adivinación; y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
