1 T hen the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the Lord ’s house, which faces eastward; and there at the door of the gate were twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

Entonces el espíritu me elevó, y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa de Jehová, la cual mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí a la entrada de la puerta veinticinco hombres, entre los cuales vi a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benayá, jefes del pueblo.

2 A nd He said to me: “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city,

Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, éstos son los hombres que maquinan perversidad, y dan en esta ciudad perversos consejos;

3 w ho say, ‘ The time is not near to build houses; this city is the caldron, and we are the meat.’

los cuales dicen: No será tan pronto; edifiquemos casas; ésta será la olla, y nosotros la carne.

4 T herefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!”

Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos; profetiza, hijo de hombre.

5 T hen the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me, “Speak! ‘Thus says the Lord: “Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

Y vino sobre mí el Espíritu de Jehová, y me dijo: Di: Así dice Jehová: Así habéis hablado, oh casa de Israel, y sé muy bien lo que pensáis.

6 Y ou have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with the slain.”

Habéis multiplicado vuestras víctimas en esta ciudad, y habéis llenado de muertos sus calles.

7 T herefore thus says the Lord God: “Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Jehová: Vuestros muertos que habéis dejado tendidos en medio de ella, ellos son la carne y ella es la olla; mas vosotros seréis sacados de en medio de ella.

8 Y ou have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you,” says the Lord God.

Habéis temido la espada, y espada traeré sobre vosotros, dice el Señor Jehová.

9 “ And I will bring you out of its midst, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and execute judgments on you.

Y os sacaré de en medio de ella, y os entregaré en manos de extranjeros, y ejecutaré justicia entre vosotros.

10 Y ou shall fall by the sword. I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

A espada caeréis; sobre las fronteras de Israel os juzgaré, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

11 T his city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel.

Aunque esta ciudad no os será por olla, vosotros seréis en medio de ella la carne; sobre las fronteras de Israel os juzgaré.

12 A nd you shall know that I am the Lord; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My judgments, but have done according to the customs of the Gentiles which are all around you.”’”

Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová; porque no habéis andado en mis estatutos, ni habéis obedecido mis ordenanzas, sino que habéis obrado siguiendo las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean.

13 N ow it happened, while I was prophesying, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice, and said, “Ah, Lord God! Will You make a complete end of the remnant of Israel?” God Will Restore Israel

Y aconteció que mientras yo profetizaba, aquel Pelatías, hijo de Benayá, murió. Entonces me postré rostro a tierra y clamé con gran voz, y dije: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ¿Destruirás del todo al remanente de Israel? Promesa de restauración y renovación

14 A gain the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

15 “ Son of man, your brethren, your relatives, your countrymen, and all the house of Israel in its entirety, are those about whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Get far away from the Lord; this land has been given to us as a possession.’

Hijo de hombre, en cuanto a tus hermanos, sí, tus hermanos, los hombres de tu parentela y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, respecto a los cuales dijeron los moradores de Jerusalén: Alejaos de Jehová; a nosotros es dada la tierra en posesión,

16 T herefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’

di, por tanto: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Aunque les he arrojado lejos entre las naciones, y les he esparcido por los países extranjeros, con todo eso les he sido por un pequeño santuario en las tierras adonde han llegado.

17 T herefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”’

Di, por tanto: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Yo os recogeré de los pueblos, y os congregaré de los países en los cuales estáis esparcidos, y os daré la tierra de Israel.

18 A nd they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.

Y volverán allá, y quitarán de ella todas sus idolatrías y todas sus abominaciones.

19 T hen I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,

Y les daré un solo corazón, y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos; y quitaré el corazón de piedra de en medio de su carne, y les daré un corazón de carne,

20 t hat they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

para que anden en mis estatutos y guarden mis ordenanzas y las cumplan, y me serán por pueblo, y yo seré a ellos por Dios.

21 B ut as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

Mas a aquellos cuyo corazón anda tras el deseo de sus idolatrías y de sus abominaciones, yo les echaré su conducta sobre sus propias cabezas, dice el Señor Jehová.

22 S o the cherubim lifted up their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high above them.

Después alzaron los querubines sus alas, y las ruedas junto a ellos; y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba encima, sobre ellos.

23 A nd the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city and stood on the mountain, which is on the east side of the city.

Y la gloria de Jehová se elevó de en medio de la ciudad, y se posó sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

24 T hen the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to those in captivity. And the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Luego me levantó un espíritu y me volvió a llevar en visión del Espíritu de Dios a la tierra de los caldeos, a los de la cautividad. Y se fue de mí la visión que había visto.

25 S o I spoke to those in captivity of all the things the Lord had shown me.

Y hablé a los deportados todas las cosas que Jehová me había mostrado.
