1 T hen he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar.

Me hizo volver luego a la entrada de la casa; y he aquí que salían aguas de debajo del umbral de la casa hacia el oriente; porque la fachada de la casa estaba al oriente, y las aguas descendían de debajo, del lado derecho de la casa, al sur del altar.

2 H e brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side.

Luego me sacó por el camino de la puerta del norte, y me hizo dar la vuelta por el camino exterior, a la puerta de afuera, por el camino de la puerta que mira al oriente; y vi que las aguas fluían del lado derecho.

3 A nd when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles.

Cuando el varón salió hacia el oriente, llevando un cordel en su mano, midió mil codos, y me hizo pasar por las aguas, aguas que llegaban hasta los tobillos.

4 A gain he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist.

Midió otros mil, y me hizo pasar por las aguas que llegaban hasta las rodillas. Midió luego otros mil, y me hizo pasar por las aguas que llegaban hasta los lomos.

5 A gain he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.

Midió otros mil, y era ya un río que yo no podía pasar, porque las aguas habían crecido de manera que el río no se podía pasar sino a nado.

6 H e said to me, “Son of man, have you seen this? ” Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river.

Y me dijo: ¿Has visto esto, hijo de hombre? Después me condujo, y me hizo volver por la ribera del río.

7 W hen I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other.

Al volver, vi que en la ribera del río había muchísimos árboles a uno y otro lado.

8 T hen he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.

Entonces me dijo: Estas aguas brotan hacia la región del oriente, y descenderán al Arabá, y entrarán en el mar; y cuando hayan entrado en el mar, en las aguas saladas, las aguas quedarán saneadas.

9 A nd it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.

Y toda alma viviente que nade por dondequiera que entren estos dos ríos, vivirá; y habrá allí muchísimos peces; porque estas aguas habrán entrado allá para que reciba sanidad y viva todo lo que se encuentre en el lugar adonde llegue este río.

10 I t shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.

Y junto a él estarán los pescadores, desde En-gadí hasta En-egláyim; allí habrá un tendedero de redes; y por sus especies serán los peces tan numerosos como los peces del Mar Grande.

11 B ut its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.

Pero sus pantanos y sus lagunas no se sanearán; quedarán para salinas.

12 A long the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” Borders of the Land

Y junto al río, en la ribera, a uno y otro lado, crecerá toda clase de árboles frutales; sus hojas nunca caerán, ni faltará su fruto. Producirán todos los meses frutos nuevos, porque sus aguas salen del santuario; y su fruto será para alimento, y sus hojas para medicina. Límites y repartición de la tierra

13 T hus says the Lord God: “These are the borders by which you shall divide the land as an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph shall have two portions.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Estos son los límites en que repartiréis la tierra por heredad entre las doce tribus de Israel. José tendrá dos partes.

14 Y ou shall inherit it equally with one another; for I raised My hand in an oath to give it to your fathers, and this land shall fall to you as your inheritance.

Y la heredaréis así los unos como los otros; ya que por ella alcé mi mano jurando que la había de dar a vuestros padres; por tanto, esta será la tierra que os pertenecerá por herencia.

15 “ This shall be the border of the land on the north: from the Great Sea, by the road to Hethlon, as one goes to Zedad,

Y este será el límite de la tierra: hacia el lado del norte, desde el Mar Grande, camino de Hetlón, hasta la entrada de Zedad;

16 H amath, Berothah, Sibraim (which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath), to Hazar Hatticon (which is on the border of Hauran).

Hamat, Berotá, Sibráyim, que está entre el límite de Damasco y el límite de Hamat; Hazer-haticón, que es el límite de Haurán.

17 T hus the boundary shall be from the Sea to Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus; and as for the north, northward, it is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.

Y el límite desde el mar será Hazar-enón en el límite de Damasco, y el límite de Hamat está al norte en dirección septentrional. Éste es el lado norte.

18 “ On the east side you shall mark out the border from between Hauran and Damascus, and between Gilead and the land of Israel, along the Jordan, and along the eastern side of the sea. This is the east side.

Del lado del oriente, en medio de Haurán y de Damasco, y de Galaad y de la tierra de Israel, junto al Jordán, mediréis desde el límite hasta el mar oriental. Éste es el lado oriental.

19 “ The south side, toward the South, shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribah by Kadesh, along the brook to the Great Sea. This is the south side, toward the South.

El lado meridional, hacia el sur, desde Tamar hasta las aguas de las rencillas de Cadés hacia el torrente, hasta el Mar Grande; y esto será el lado meridional, al sur.

20 “ The west side shall be the Great Sea, from the southern boundary until one comes to a point opposite Hamath. This is the west side.

Y el lado del occidente será el Mar Grande, desde el límite hasta enfrente de la entrada de Hamat; éste es el lado occidental.

21 “ Thus you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.

Repartiréis, pues, esta tierra entre vosotros según las tribus de Israel.

22 I t shall be that you will divide it by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, and for the strangers who dwell among you and who bear children among you. They shall be to you as native-born among the children of Israel; they shall have an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

Y echaréis sobre ella suertes por heredad para vosotros, y para los extranjeros que moran entre vosotros, y que hayan engendrado hijos entre vosotros; y los tendréis como nativos entre los hijos de Israel; con vosotros tendrán heredad entre las tribus de Israel.

23 A nd it shall be that in whatever tribe the stranger dwells, there you shall give him his inheritance,” says the Lord God.

En la tribu en que more el extranjero, allí le daréis su heredad, dice el Señor Jehová.
