1 “ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Sardis: El que tiene los siete espíritus de Dios, y las siete estrellas, dice esto: Yo sé tus obras, que tienes nombre de que vives, y estás muerto.

2 B e watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.

Sé vigilante, y consolida lo que queda, lo que está a punto de morir; porque no he hallado tus obras perfectas delante de Dios.

3 R emember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

Recuerda, pues, cómo has recibido y oíste; y sigue guardándolo, y arrepiéntete. Pues si no velas, vendré sobre ti como un ladrón, y no conoces de ningún modo a qué hora vendré sobre ti.

4 Y ou have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

Pero tienes unas pocas personas en Sardis que no han manchado sus vestiduras; y andarán conmigo en vestiduras blancas, porque son dignas.

5 H e who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

El que venza será vestido de vestiduras blancas; y no borraré su nombre del libro de la vida, y confesaré su nombre delante de mi Padre, y delante de sus ángeles.

6 “ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ The Faithful Church

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. El mensaje a Filadelfia

7 “ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:

Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia: Esto dice el Santo, el Verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y ninguno cierra, y cierra y ninguno abre:

8 “ I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Yo sé tus obras; he aquí, he puesto delante de ti una puerta abierta, la cual nadie puede cerrar; porque aunque tienes poca fuerza, has guardado mi palabra, y no has negado mi nombre.

9 I ndeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

Mira, yo entrego de la sinagoga de Satanás a los que dicen que son judíos y no lo son, sino que mienten; he aquí, yo haré que vengan y se postren a tus pies, y reconozcan que yo te he amado.

10 B ecause you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Por cuanto has guardado la palabra de mi paciencia, yo también te guardaré de la hora de la prueba que está para venir sobre el mundo entero, para probar a los que moran sobre la tierra.

11 B ehold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.

Mira que vengo en seguida; retén lo que tienes, para que ninguno tome tu corona.

12 H e who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

Al que venza, yo lo haré columna en el santuario de mi Dios, y nunca más saldrá de allí; y escribiré sobre él el nombre de mi Dios, y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalén, la cual desciende del cielo, de mi Dios, y mi nombre nuevo.

13 “ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ The Lukewarm Church

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. El mensaje a Laodicea

14 “ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Laodicea: Esto dice el Amén, el testigo fiel y verdadero, el principio de la creación de Dios:

15 “ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

Yo sé tus obras, que ni eres frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueses frío o caliente!

16 S o then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Así, por cuanto eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, voy a vomitarte de mi boca.

17 B ecause you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

Porque dices: Yo soy rico, y me he enriquecido, y de ninguna cosa tengo necesidad; y no sabes que tú eres un desventurado, miserable, pobre, ciego y desnudo.

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Te aconsejo que de mí compres oro refinado por fuego, para que seas rico, y vestiduras blancas para que te cubras, y no quede al descubierto la vergüenza de tu desnudez; y unge tus ojos con colirio, para que veas.

19 A s many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

Yo reprendo y corrijo a todos los que amo; sé, pues, celoso, y arrepiéntete.

20 B ehold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

He aquí, yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él, y cenaré con él, y él conmigo.

21 T o him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Al que venza, le daré que se siente conmigo en mi trono, así como yo he vencido, y me he sentado con mi Padre en su trono.

22 “ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
