1 N ow Benjamin begot Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,

أنجَبَ بَنْيامِيْنُ بالَعَ بِكْرَهُ، وَالثّانِي أشْبِيلَ، وَالثّالِثَ أخْرَخَ،

2 N ohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

وَالرّابِعَ نُوحَةَ، وَالخامِسَ رافا.

3 T he sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,

وَكانَ لِبالَعَ أبْناءٌ هُمْ أدّارُ وَجِيْرا وَأبِيهُودُ

4 A bishua, Naaman, Ahoah,

وَأبِيشُوعُ وَنُعمانُ وَأخُوخُ

5 G era, Shephuphan, and Huram.

وَحَيْرا وَشَفُوفانُ وَحُورامُ.

6 T hese are the sons of Ehud, who were the heads of the fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Geba, and who forced them to move to Manahath:

وَهَؤُلاءِ أبْناءُ آحُودَ – وَهُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِ بَنْيامِيْنَ السّاكِنِينَ فِي جَبَعَ، وَرُحِّلُوا إلَى مَناحَةَ:

7 N aaman, Ahijah, and Gera who forced them to move. He begot Uzza and Ahihud.

نُعْمانُ وَأخِيا وَجَيرا. وَجَيرا هُوَ الَّذِي رَحَّلَهُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ عُزّا وَأخِيحُودَ.

8 A lso Shaharaim had children in the country of Moab, after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.

وَأنجَبَ شَحْرايِمُ أبْناءً فِي بِلادِ مُوآبَ بَعْدَ أنْ طَلَّقَ زَوْجَتَيهِ حُوشِيمَ وَبَعْرا.

9 B y Hodesh his wife he begot Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,

وَأنجَبَ مِنْ زَوجَتِهِ خُودَشَ أبْناءً هُمْ: يُوبابُ، وَظِبْيا، وَمِيشا، وَمَلْكامُ،

10 J euz, Sachiah, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of their fathers’ houses.

وَيَعُوصُ، وَشَبْيا، وَمِرْمَةُ. كانَ أبْناؤُهُ هَؤُلاءِ رُؤَساءَ عائِلاتِهِمْ.

11 A nd by Hushim he begot Abitub and Elpaal.

وَأنجَبَ مِنْ حُوشِيمَ أبِيطُوبَ وَألفَعَلَ.

12 T he sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod with its towns;

وَأبْناءُ ألْفَعَلَ هُمْ: عابَرُ، وَمِشْعامُ، وَشامِدُ. وَهُوَ الَّذِي بَنَى أُونُو وَلُودَ وَقُراها.

13 a nd Beriah and Shema, who were heads of their fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove out the inhabitants of Gath.

وَكانَ بَرِيعَةُ وَشَمَعُ رَئِيسَينِ لِعائِلاتِ أيَّلُونَ. وَقَدْ جَعَلُوا سُكّانَ جَتَّ يَهْرُبُونَ.

14 A hio, Shashak, Jeremoth,

وَكانَ شاشَقُ وَيَرِيمُوتُ أخَوَيهُمْ.

15 Z ebadiah, Arad, Eder,

وَكانَ زَبَدْيا وَعَرادُ وَعادَرُ

16 M ichael, Ispah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

وَمِيخائِيلُ وَيِشْفَةُ وَيُوخا أبْناءَ بِرِيعَةَ.

17 Z ebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,

وَكانَ زَبَدْيا وَمَشُلّامُ وَحَزْقِي وَحابِرُ

18 I shmerai, Jizliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

وَيَشْمَرايُ وَيَزَلْياهُ وَيُوبابُ أبْناءَ ألْفَعَلَ.

19 J akim, Zichri, Zabdi,

وَكانَ ياقِيمُ وَزِكْرِي وَزَبْدِي،

20 E lienai, Zillethai, Eliel,

وَألِيعِيْنايُ وَصِلَّتايُ وَإيلِئِيلُ

21 A daiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

وَعَدايا وَبَرايا وَشِمْرَةُ أبْناءُ شَمْعَى.

22 I shpan, Eber, Eliel,

وَكانَ يِشْفانُ وَعابِرُ وَإيلِئِيلُ

23 A bdon, Zichri, Hanan,

وَعَبْدُونُ وَزِكْرِي وَحانانُ

24 H ananiah, Elam, Antothijah,

وَحَنَنْيا وَعِيلامُ وَعَنَثُوثِيا

25 I phdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.

وَيَفَدْيا وَفَنُوئِيلُ أبْناءَ شاشَقَ.

26 S hamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,

وَكانَ شِمْشَرايُ وَشَحَرْيا وَعَثَلْيا

27 J aareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.

وَيَعْرَشْيا وَإيلِيّا وَزِكْرِي أبْناءُ يَرُوحامَ.

28 T hese were heads of the fathers’ houses by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.

كانَ هَؤُلاءِ رُؤَساءَ عائِلاتٍ، سُجِّلوا زعماءَ في سجلاتِ أنسابِهِمْ، وَعاشُوا فِي القُدْسِ.

29 N ow the father of Gibeon, whose wife’s name was Maacah, dwelt at Gibeon.

وَسَكَنَ عِيئِيلُ مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ جِبْعُونَ فِي جِبْعُونَ، وَكانَ اسْمُ زَوجَتِهِ مَعْكَةَ.

30 A nd his firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

وَابْنُهُ البِكْرُ هُوَ عَبْدُونُ ثُمَّ صُورُ وَقَيْسُ وَبَعلُ وَنِيرُ وَنادابُ

31 G edor, Ahio, Zecher,

وَجَدُورُ وَأخِيُو وَزاكِرُ وَمِقلُوثُ.

32 a nd Mikloth, who begot Shimeah. They also dwelt alongside their relatives in Jerusalem, with their brethren.

وَأنجَبَ مِقلُوثُ شَماةَ. وَسَكَنُوا هُمْ أيضاً مَعَ أقرِبائِهِمْ فِي القُدْسِ مُقابِلَهُمْ.

33 N er begot Kish, Kish begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.

وَأنجَبَ نِيرٌ قَيْساً. وَأنجَبَ قَيْسٌ شاوُلَ. وَأنجَبَ شاوُلُ يُوناثانَ وَمَلْكِيشُوعَ وَأبِينادابَ وَإشْبَعلَ.

34 T he son of Jonathan was Merib-Baal, and Merib-Baal begot Micah.

وَأنجَبَ يُوناثانُ مَرِيبَّعلَ. وَأنجَبَ مَرِيبَّعلُ مِيخا.

35 T he sons of Micah were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.

أبْناءُ مِيخا فِيثُونُ وَمالِكُ وَتارِيعُ وَآحازُ.

36 A nd Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza.

وَأنجَبَ آحازُ يَهُوعَدَّةَ. وَأنجَبَ يَهُوعَدَّةُ عَلْمَثَ وَعَزمُوتَ وَزِمْرِي. وَأنجَبَ زِمْرِي مُوصا.

37 M oza begot Binea, Raphah his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.

وَأنجَبَ مُوصا بِنْعَةَ، وَأنجَبَ بِنْعَةُ رافَةَ. وَأنجَبَ رافَةُ ألِعاسَةَ. وَأنجَبَ ألِعاسَةُ آصِيلَ.

38 A zel had six sons whose names were these: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

وَأنجَبَ آصِيلُ سِتَّةَ أبْناءٍ هُمْ عَزرِيقامُ وَبُكْرُو وَإسْماعِيلُ وَشَعَرْيا وَعُوبَدْيا وَحانانُ. كُلُّ هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ آصِيلَ.

39 A nd the sons of Eshek his brother were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

أبْناءُ عاشِقَ أخِي آصِيلَ: بِكْرُهُ أُولامُ، وَالثّانِي يَعُوشُ، وَالثّالِثُ ألِيفَلَطُ.

40 T he sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor—archers. They had many sons and grandsons, one hundred and fifty in all. These were all sons of Benjamin.

وَكانَ أبْناءُ أُولامَ مُحارِبِينَ شُجعاناً، ماهِرِينَ فِي اسْتِخدامِ القَوْسِ، وَلَهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ ابْناً وَحَفيداً. كانَ هَؤُلاءِ كُلُّهُمْ بَنْيامِيْنِيِّينَ.
