1 N ow the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover.
وَكانَ قَدِ اقتَرَبَ عِيدُ الخُبزِ غَيرِ المُختَمِرِ الَّذِي يُطلَقُ عَليهِ اسْمُ عِيدِ الفِصحِ أيضاً.
2 A nd the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people.
وَكانَ كِبارُ الكَهَنَةِ وَمُعَلِّمُو الشَّرِيعَةِ يَبحَثُونَ عَنْ طَرِيقَةٍ غَيرِ عَلَنِيَّةٍ لِقَتلِ يَسُوعَ، لِأنَّهُمْ كانُوا يَخشَونَ النّاسَ. يَهُوذا يَتَآمَرُ عَلَى يَسُوع
3 T hen Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.
أمّا يَهُوذا الإسْخَريُوطيُّ، الَّذِي كانَ واحِداً مِنَ «الاثنَي عَشَرَ،» فَقَدْ دَخَلَ فيهِ الشَّيطانُ.
4 S o he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them.
فَذَهَبَ وَتَحَدَّثَ إلَى كِبارِ الكَهَنَةِ وَحَرّاسِ الهَيكَلِ عَنْ كَيفِيَّةِ تَسليمِ يَسُوعَ إلَيْهِمْ.
5 A nd they were glad, and agreed to give him money.
فَسُرُّوا كَثِيراً، وَوافَقُوا عَلَى أنْ يُعطُوهُ مالاً.
6 S o he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of the multitude. Jesus and His Disciples Prepare the Passover
فَقَبِلَ وَبَدَأ يَنتَظِرُ الفُرصَةَ المُناسِبَةَ لِتَسلِيمِهِ إلَيْهِمْ بَعيداً عَنْ أنظارِ النّاسِ. الإعدادُ لِوَجبَةِ الفِصح
7 T hen came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed.
وَجاءَ عِيدُ الخُبزِ غَيرِ المُختَمِرِ الَّذِي يُضَحَّى فِيهِ بِحِملانِ الفِصحِ.
8 A nd He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
فَأرسَلَ يَسُوعُ بُطرُسَ وَيُوحَنّا وَقالَ لَهُما: «اذهَبا وَأعِدّا عَشاءَ الفِصحِ لَنا لِكَي نَأْكُلَ.»
9 S o they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?”
فَسَألاهُ: «أينَ نُعِدُّهُ؟»
10 A nd He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters.
فَقالَ لَهُما: «عِندَما تَدخُلانِ المَدِينَةَ، سَتَلقَيانِ رَجُلاً يَحمِلُ إبرِيقَ ماءٍ، فَاتبَعاهُ إلَى البَيتِ الَّذِي يَدخُلُهُ.
11 T hen you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’
وَقُولا لِصاحِبِ البَيتِ: ‹يَقُولُ لَكَ المُعَلِّمُ: أينَ هِيَ غُرفَةُ الضُّيُوفِ الَّتِي سَأتَناوَلُ فِيها عَشاءَ الفِصحِ مَعَ تَلامِيذِي؟›
12 T hen he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”
فَسَيُرِيكُما ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ غُرفَةً عُلوِيَّةً واسِعَةً مَفرُوشَةً، فَأعِدّا الفِصحَ هُناكَ.»
13 S o they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. Jesus Institutes the Lord’s Supper
فَذَهَبا وَوَجَدا كُلَّ شَيءٍ كَما سَبَقَ أنْ أخبَرَهُما يَسُوعُ، فَأعَدّا عَشاءَ الفِصحِ. العَشاءُ الأخِير
14 W hen the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him.
وَلَمّا حانَ الوَقتُ، أخَذَ يَسُوعُ مَكانَهُ إلَى المائِدَةِ وَمَعَهُ الرُّسُلُ.
15 T hen He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;
وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «كَمِ اشتَهَيتُ أنْ أتَناوَلَ عَشاءَ الفِصحِ مَعَكُمْ قَبلَ أنْ أمُوتَ.
16 f or I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
لِأنِّي أقُولُ لَكُمْ إنِّي لَنْ أتَناوَلَهُ ثانِيَةً إلَى أنْ يَكتَمِلَ مَعناها فِي مَلَكُوتِ اللهِ.»
17 T hen He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves;
ثُمَّ تَناوَلَ كَأسَ نَبِيذٍ وَشَكَرَ اللهَ، وَقالَ: «خُذُوا هَذِهِ الكَأْسَ وَاشْرَبوا مِنها كُلُّكُمْ.
18 f or I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
فَأنا أقُولُ لَكُمْ: «لَنْ أشرَبَ هَذا النَّبيذَ إلَى أنْ يَأتِيَ مَلَكُوتُ اللهِ.»
19 A nd He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
ثُمَّ أخَذَ خُبزاً وَشَكَرَ اللهَ، وَقَسَّمَهُ وَأعطاهُمْ إيّاهُ وَقالَ: «هَذا هُوَ جَسَدِي الَّذِي يُبذَلُ مِنْ أجلِكُمْ. اعمَلُوا هَذا تَذكاراً لِي.»
20 L ikewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
وَعادَ فَتَناوَلَ كَأْسَ النَّبِيذِ بَعدَما تَعَشُّوا وَقالَ: «هَذِهِ الكَأسُ هِيَ كَأْسُ العَهدِ الجَدِيدِ الَّذِي يُقطَعُ بِدَمِي الَّذِي سَيُسفَكُ مِنْ أجلِكُمْ.» مَنِ الَّذِي سَيَخُونُ يَسُوع؟
21 B ut behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table.
«لَكِنْ ها هُوَ الَّذِي يَخُونُنِي يَأْكُلُ مَعِي عَلَى المائِدَةِ نَفسِها.
22 A nd truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”
فَإنَّ ابنَ الإنسانِ ماضٍ فِي الطَّرِيقِ الَّذِي أعَدَّهُ اللهُ، لَكِنْ وَيلٌ لِذَلِكَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي يَخُونُهُ.»
23 T hen they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing. The Disciples Argue About Greatness
وَراحُوا يَتَساءَلُونَ فِيما بَينَهُمْ: «مَنْ سَيَفعَلُ هَذا يا تُرَىْ؟» كُنْ خادِماً
24 N ow there was also a dispute among them, as to which of them should be considered the greatest.
كَما ثارَ بَينَهُمْ جِدالٌ حَولَ أيُّهُمْ يُعتَبَرُ الأعظَمَ.
25 A nd He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
فَقالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «إنَّ مُلُوكَ الأُمَمِ يَتَسَيَّدُونَ عَلَى شُعُوبِهِمْ، وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ يُدعَونَ ‹مُحْسِنينَ›!
26 B ut not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves.
أمّا أنتُمْ فَلا يَنبَغِي أنْ تَكُونُوا كَذَلِكَ، بَلْ لِيَكُنِ الأعظَمُ فِيكُمُ الأصغَرَ، وَلْيَكُنِ القائِدُ بَينَكُمْ خادِماً.
27 F or who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.
فَمَنْ أعظَمُ: مَنْ يَجلِسُ إلَى المائِدَةِ أمْ مَنْ يَخدِمُ؟ ألَيسَ مَنْ يَجلِسُ إلَى المائِدَةِ؟ غَيرَ أنِّي بَينَكُمْ كَمَنْ يَخدِمُ.
28 “ But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials.
«لَكِنَّكُمْ أنتُمْ وَقَفتُمْ مَعِي فِي تَجارِبِي.
29 A nd I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,
لِهَذا سَأُعطِيكُمْ سُلطانَ المُلُوكِ كَما أعطانِي أبِي.
30 t hat you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
وَبِهَذا تَأكُلُونَ وَتَشرَبُونَ عَلَى مائِدَتِي فِي مَلَكُوتِي، وَتَجلِسُونَ عَلَى عُرُوشٍ لِتَحكُمُوا عَلَى قَبائِلِ بَنيْ إسرائِيلَ الاثنَتَي عَشْرَةَ.» لا تُضَيِّعُوا إيمانَكُم
31 A nd the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
«أتَسمَعُنِي يا سِمعانُ، لَقَدِ اسْتَأذَنَ الشَّيطانُ بِأنْ يُغَربِلَكُمْ كَما تُغَربَلُ الحُبوبُ.
32 B ut I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
لَكِنَّنِي صَلَّيْتُ مِنْ أجلِكَ لِكَيلا تَفقِدَ إيمانَكَ، فبَعدَ أنْ تَعُودَ إلَيَّ، قَوِّ إخْوَتَكَ.»
33 B ut he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”
لَكِنَّ بُطرُسَ قالَ لَهُ: «يا رَبُّ، أنا مُستَعِدُّ أنْ أذهَبَ مَعَكَ حَتَّى إلَى السِّجنِ وَإلَى المَوتِ.»
34 T hen He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.” Supplies for the Road
فَقالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «يا بُطرُسُ، لَنْ يَصِيحَ الدِّيكُ اليَومَ قَبلَ أنْ تُنكِرَ ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ أنَّكَ تَعرِفُنِي.» استَعِدُّوا لِلضَّيق
35 A nd He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?” So they said, “Nothing.”
وَقالَ لِتَلامِيذِهِ: «تَذَكَّرُوا أنِّي أرسَلتُكُمْ دُونَ مِحفَظَةٍ أوْ حَقِيبَةٍ أوْ حِذاءٍ، فَهَلْ نَقَصَ عَلَيكُمْ شَيءٌ؟» فَقالُوا: «لا.» قالَ لَهُمْ:
36 T hen He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.
أمّا الآنَ، فَمَنْ يَملِكُ مِحفَظَةً فَلْيَحمِلها، وَيَحمِلُ مَعَها حَقِيبَةً أيضاً، وَمَنْ لا يَملِكُ سَيفاً فَلْيَبِعْ رِداءَهُ وَليَشتَرِ سَيفاً.
37 F or I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”
لِأنِّي أقُولُ لَكُمْ إنَّ الكَلِمَةَ القائِلَةَ: ‹وَحُسِبَ مَعَ المُجْرِمينَ،› لا بُدَّ أنْ تَتَحَقَّقَ. نَعَمْ، إنَّ هَذا الكَلامَ الَّذِي يَتَعَلَّقُ بِي، يَتِمُّ الآنَ.»
38 S o they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.” The Prayer in the Garden
فَقالُوا: «انظُرْ يا سَيِّدُ، لَدَينا سَيفانِ،» فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «يَكْفيْ!» يَسُوعُ يَطلُبُ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ أنْ يُصَلُّوا
39 C oming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him.
ثُمَّ انطَلَقَ وَذَهَبَ كَالمُعتادِ إلَى جَبَلِ الزَّيتُونِ، وَتَبِعَهُ تَلامِيذُهُ.
40 W hen He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
وَعِندَما وَصَلَ إلَى المَكانِ قالَ لَهُمْ: «صَلُّوا لِكَي لا تُجَرَّبُوا.»
41 A nd He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,
وَابتَعَدَ عَنهُمْ نَحْوَ رَميَةِ حَجَرٍ، ثُمَّ ركَعَ وَصَلَّى:
42 s aying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
«يا أبِي، إنْ أرَدْتَ، أبعِدْ هَذِهِ الكَأسَ عَنِّي، لَكِنْ لِيَكُنْ ما تُرِيدُهُ أنتَ، لا ما أُرِيدُهُ أنا.»
43 T hen an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
ثُمَّ ظَهَرَ لَهُ مَلاكٌ مِنَ السَّماءِ وَكانَ يُقَوِّيْهِ.
44 A nd being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
وَإذْ كانَ فِي ألَمٍ عَمِيقٍ، صَلَّى بِإلحاحٍ أكبَرَ. وَبَدَأ عَرَقُهُ يَتَصَبَّبُ عَلَى الأرْضِ كَقَطَراتِ دَمٍ.
45 W hen He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.
وَنَهَضَ مِنْ صَلاتِهِ وَجاءَ إلَى تَلامِيذِهِ، فَوَجَدَهُمْ نائِمِينَ بَعدَ أنْ أنهَكَهُمُ الحُزنُ.
46 T hen He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” Betrayal and Arrest in Gethsemane
فَقالَ لَهُمْ: «لِماذا أنتُمْ نائِمُونَ؟ قُومُوا وَصَلُّوا لِكَي لا تُجَرَّبُوا.»
47 A nd while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him.
وَبَينَما كانَ ما يَزالُ يَتَكَلَّمُ ظَهَرَ جَمعٌ مِنَ النّاسِ يَقُودُهُمْ يَهُوذا، وَهُوَ أحَدُ «الاثنَي عَشَرَ.» فَاقتَرَبَ يَهُوذا مِنْ يَسُوعَ لِكَي يُقَبِّلَهُ.
48 B ut Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
فَقالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «يا يَهُوذا، أتَخُونُ ابنَ الإنسانِ بِقُبلَةٍ؟»
49 W hen those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
وَلَمّا رَأى الَّذِينَ حَولَهُ ما كانَ يُوشِكُ أنْ يَحصُلَ، قالُوا: «يا رَبُّ، أنُهاجِمُهُمْ بِسُيُوفِنا؟»
50 A nd one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
وَضَرَبَ واحِدٌ مِنهُمْ عَبدَ رَئيسِ الكَهَنَةِ فَقَطَعَ أُذُنَهُ اليُمنَى.
51 B ut Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.
فَقالَ يَسُوعُ: «تَوَقَّفْ! كَفَى!» وَلَمَسَ أُذُنَ الخادِمِ فَشَفاها.
52 T hen Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
ثُمَّ قالَ يَسُوعُ لِكِبارِ الكَهَنَةِ وَحُرّاسِ الهَيكَلِ وَالشُّيُوخِ الَّذِينَ جاءُوا عَلَيهِ: «هَلْ خَرَجتُمْ عَلَيَّ بِالسُّيُوفِ وَالهَراواتِ كَما تَخرُجُونَ عَلَى مُجرِمٍ؟
53 W hen I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Peter Denies Jesus, and Weeps Bitterly
لَقَدْ كُنتُ مَعَكُمْ كُلَّ يَومٍ فِي ساحَةِ الهَيكَلِ، وَلَمْ تُمسِكُونِي. لَكِنْ هَذِهِ هِيَ ساعَتُكُمْ. هَذا هُوَ الوَقتُ الَّذِي تَملُكُ فِيهِ الظُّلمَةُ.» بُطرُسُ يُنكِرُ يَسُوع
54 H aving arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed at a distance.
وَقَبَضُوا عَلَيهِ وَأخَذُوهُ وَجاءُوا بِهِ إلَى بَيتِ رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ. أمّا بُطرُسُ فَتَبِعَهُمْ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ.
55 N ow when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.
وَأشعَلَ الحُرّاسُ ناراً فِي وَسَطِ السّاحَةِ وَجَلَسُوا مَعاً، فَجَلَسَ بُطرُسُ بَينَهُمْ.
56 A nd a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, “This man was also with Him.”
فَرَأتهُ فَتاةٌ خادِمَةٌ جالِساً هُناكَ فِي ضَوْءِ النّارِ، فَقالَتْ: «لَقَدْ كانَ هَذا الرَّجُلُ مَعَهُ أيضاً.»
57 B ut he denied Him, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.”
لَكِنَّ بُطرُسَ أنكَرَ وَقالَ: «أنا لا أعرِفُهُ يا امْرأةُ!»
58 A nd after a little while another saw him and said, “You also are of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!”
وَبَعدَ قَلِيلٍ رَآهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقالَ: «أنتَ واحِدٌ مِنهُمْ.» فَقالَ بُطرُسُ: «لَستُ كَذَلِكَ يا رَجُلُ!»
59 T hen after about an hour had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean.”
وَبَعدَ ساعَةٍ تَقرِيباً، أصَرَّ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ مُؤَكِّداً: «لا شَكَّ أنَّ هَذا كانَ مَعَهُ أيضاً، فَهُوَ جَلِيلِيٌّ.»
60 B ut Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
لَكِنَّ بُطرُسَ قالَ: «أنا لا أدرِي عَمَّ تَتَحَدَّثُ يا رَجُلُ!» وَفِي تِلكَ اللَّحظَةِ، وَبَينَما كانَ ما يَزالُ يَتَكَلَّمُ، صاحَ الدِّيكُ،
61 A nd the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
فَالتَفَتَ الرَّبُّ وَنَظَرَ إلَى بُطرُسَ. فَتَذَكَّرَ بُطرُسُ حينَئِذٍ قَولَ الرَّبِّ لَهُ: «سَتُنكِرُنِي ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ قَبلَ أنْ يَصِيحَ الدِّيكُ اليَومَ.»
62 S o Peter went out and wept bitterly. Jesus Mocked and Beaten
فَخَرَجَ وَبَكَى بِمَرارَةٍ شَدِيدَةٍ. الاستِهزاءُ بِيَسُوع
63 N ow the men who held Jesus mocked Him and beat Him.
وَبَدَأ الرِّجالُ الَّذِينَ يَحرُسُونَ يَسُوعَ يَستَهزِئُونَ بِهِ وَيَضرِبُونَهُ.
64 A nd having blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?”
وَغَطُّوا عَينَيهِ وَبَدَأُوا يَسألُونَهُ: «ما دُمتَ نَبِيّاً، اعْرِفْ مَنِ الَّذِي ضَرَبَكَ؟»
65 A nd many other things they blasphemously spoke against Him. Jesus Faces the Sanhedrin
وَقالُوا أشياءَ أُخْرَى كَثِيرَةً لإهانَتِهِ. يَسُوعُ يَقِفُ أمامَ قادَةِ اليَهُود
66 A s soon as it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying,
وَعِندَما جاءَ النَّهارُ، اجتَمَعَ شُيُوخُ الشَّعبِ وَكِبارُ الكَهَنَةِ وَمُعَلِّمِو الشَّرِيعَةِ، وَاستَدْعوا يَسوعَ إلَى اجتِماعِهِمْ
67 “ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe.
وَقالُوا لَهُ: «إنْ كُنتَ المَسِيحَ، فَأخبِرنا.» فَقالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «إذا أخبَرْتُكُمْ، فَإنَّكُمْ تَرفُضُونَ أنْ تُصَدِّقُونِي.
68 A nd if I also ask you, you will by no means answer Me or let Me go.
وَإذا سَألتُكُمْ فَإنَّكُمْ تَرفُضُونَ أنْ تُجِيبُونِي.
69 H ereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.”
لَكِنْ مِنَ الآنَ فَصاعِداً سَيَكُونُ ابنُ الإنسانِ جالِساً عَنْ يَمِيْنِ عَرشِ اللهِ.»
70 T hen they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” So He said to them, “You rightly say that I am.”
فَقالُوا لَهُ جَمِيعاً: «فَهَلْ أنتَ ابنُ اللهِ إذاً؟» فَأجابَهُمْ: «لَقَدْ قُلْتُمُوها بِأنفُسِكُمْ، إنِّي كَذَلِكَ.»
71 A nd they said, “What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth.”
فَقالُوا: «هَلْ نَحتاجُ بَعدَ هَذا إلَى مَزِيدٍ مِنَ الشُّهُودِ؟ لَقَدْ سَمِعنا بِأنفُسِنا مِنْ فَمِهِ.»
