1 N ow these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

هَذِهِ هِيَ فِرَقُ أبْناءِ هارُونَ. أبْناءُ هارُونَ: نادابُ وَأبِيهُو وَألِعازَرُ وَإيثامارُ.

2 A nd Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests.

وَقَدْ ماتَ نادابُ وَأبِيهُو قَبلَ وَالِدِهِما، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُما أبْناءٌ، فَخَدَمَ ألِعازارُ وَإيثامارُ كَكَهَنَةٍ.

3 T hen David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.

وَقَسَّمَهُمْ داوُدُ، وَصادُوقُ مِنْ أبْناءِ ألِعازارَ، وَأخِيمالِكُ مِنْ أبْناءِ إيثامارَ، حَسَبَ المَهامِّ المُوكَلَةِ إلَيْهِمْ فِي الخِدْمَةِ.

4 T here were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar.

غَيرَ أنَّهُ تَبَيَّنَ أنَّ أبْناءَ ألِعازارَ أكبَرُ عَدَداً مِنْ حَيثُ الذُّكُورِ مِنْ أبْناءِ إيثامارَ، فَكانَ هُناكَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ رَئِيسَ عائِلَةٍ لِأبْناءِ ألِعازارَ، وَثَمانِيَةَ رُؤَساءِ عائِلاتٍ لِأبْناءِ إيثامارَ.

5 T hus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.

وَقَدْ عَيَّنُوا فَتَراتِ عَمَلِ رُؤَساءِ عائِلاتِ الجانِبَينِ بِالقُرْعَةِ، لِأنَّ هَؤُلاءِ كانُوا مَسْؤُولِينَ عَنْ المُكانِ المُقَدَّسِ مِنْ أبْناءِ ألِعازارَ وَمِنْ بَينِ أبْناءِ إيثامارَ.

6 A nd the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

وَقَدْ سَجَّلَهُمُ الكاتِبُ شَمَعْيا بْنُ نَثَنَئِيلَ وَهُوَ لاوِيٌّ، بِحُضُورِ المَلِكِ، وَالقادَةُ وَالرُّؤساءُ، وَصادُوقَ الكاهِنِ، وَأخِيمَالِكَ بِنَ أبِياثارَ، وَرُؤُوسِ عائِلاتِ الكَهَنَةِ وَالَّلاوِيِّينَ. فَأُخِذَتْ عائِلَةٌ لألِعازارَ، ثُمَّ عائِلَةٌ لإيثامارَ، بِالتَّناوُبِ.

7 N ow the first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

وَقَعَتِ القُرْعَةُ الأُولَى عَلَى يَهُويارِيبَ، وَالثّانِيَةُ عَلَى يَدْعِيا،

8 t he third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

وَالثّالِثَةُ عَلَى حارِيمَ، وَالرّابِعَةُ عَلَى سَعُورِيمَ،

9 t he fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

وَالخامِسَةُ عَلَى مَلْكِيّا، وَالسّادِسَةُ عَلَى مَيّامِينَ،

10 t he seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

وَالسّابِعَةُ عَلَى هَقُّوصَ، وَالثّامِنَةُ عَلَى أبِيّا،

11 t he ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

وَالتّاسِعَةُ عَلَى يَشُوعَ، وَالعاشِرَةُ عَلَى شَكُنْيا،

12 t he eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

وَالحادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى ألِياشِيبَ، وَالثّانِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى ياقِيمَ،

13 t he thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

وَالثّالِثَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى حُفَّةَ، وَالرّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى يَشَبآبَ،

14 t he fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

وَالخامِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى بِلْجَةَ، وَالسّادِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى إيمِيرَ،

15 t he seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

وَالسّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى حِيزِيرَ، وَالثّامِنَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى هَفْصِيصَ،

16 t he nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,

وَالتّاسِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ عَلَى فَقَحْيا، وَالعِشْرُونَ عَلَى يَحَزْقِيئِيلَ،

17 t he twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

وَالحادِيَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ عَلَى ياكِينَ، وَالثّانِيَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ عَلَى جامُولَ،

18 t he twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

وَالثّالِثَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ عَلَى دَلايا، وَالرّابِعَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ عَلَى مَعَزْيا.

19 T his was the schedule of their service for coming into the house of the Lord according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him. Other Levites

كانَتْ هَذهِ مَجمُوعاتُ الكَهَنةِ المُوكَلِينَ بِدُّخُولِ بَيتِ اللهِ وَفْقَ الأنظِمَةِ الَّتِي أمَرَ اللهُ ، إلَهُ إسْرائِيلَ، هارُونَ بِها. بَقِيَّةُ أبْناءِ لاوِي

20 A nd the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

أمّا بِالنِّسْبَةِ لِبَقِيَّةِ الَّلاوِيِّينَ: فَمِنْ أبْناءِ عِمْرامَ شُوبائِيلُ، وَمِنْ أبْناءِ شُوبائِيلَ يَحَدْيا.

21 C oncerning Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.

وَمِنْ أبْناءِ رَحِبْيا يَشِيّا البِكرُ.

22 O f the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

وَمِنْ أبْناءِ يَصْهارَ شَلُومُوثُ، وَمِنْ أبْناءِ شَلُومُوثَ يَحَثُ.

23 O f the sons of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

ثُمَّ أبْناءُ حَبْرُونَ يَرِيّا البِكرُ، وَالثّانِي أمَرْيا، وَالثّالِثُ يَحزِيئِيلُ، وَالرّابِعُ يَقْمَعامُ.

24 O f the sons of Uzziel, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir.

وَابْنُ عُزِّيئِيلَ مِيخا. وَمِنْ أبْناءِ مِيخا شامُورُ.

25 T he brother of Michah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

وَأخُو مِيخا يَشِّيّا. وَمِنْ أبْناءِ يَشِّيّا زَكَرِيّا.

26 T he sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah, Beno.

وَابْنا مَراري مَحلِي ومُوشِي، وَابْنُهُ يَعَزْيا.

27 T he sons of Merari by Jaaziah were Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

وَأبناءُ يَعَزْيا بْنِ مَراري هُمْ شُوهَمُ وَزَكُّورُ وَعِبْرِي.

28 O f Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

وَمِنْ أبْناءِ مَحلِي ألِعازارُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ أبْناءٌ.

29 O f Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.

وَمِنْ أبْناءِ قَيسٍ يَرْحَمْئِيلُ.

30 A lso the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.

وَأبْناءُ مُوشِي هُمْ مَحلِي وَعادِرُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمُ الَّلاوِيُّونَ حَسَبَ عائِلاتِهِمْ.

31 T hese also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.

وَألقَى هَؤُلاءِ أيضاً قُرْعَةً مَعَ أقْرِبائِهِمْ، أبْناءِ هارُونَ، أمامَ المَلِكِ داوُدَ، وَصادُوقَ، وَأخِيمَالِكَ، وَرُؤَساءِ عائِلاتِ الكَهَنَةِ وَالَّلاوِيِّينَ. وَقَدْ ألقَتْ عائِلاتُ الرَّئِيسِ القُرْعَةَ مِثلَ عائِلاتِ الأخِ الأصْغَرِ بِالتَّساوِي.
