1 T he sons of Issachar were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four in all.

أبْناءُ يَسّاكَرَ: تُولاعُ، وَفُوَّةُ، وَياشُوبُ، وَشِمْرُونَ، وَمَجمُوعُهُمْ أربَعَةٌ.

2 T he sons of Tola were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father’s house. The sons of Tola were mighty men of valor in their generations; their number in the days of David was twenty-two thousand six hundred.

أبْناءُ تُولاعَ: عُزِّي وَرَفايا وَيَرِيئِيلُ وَيَحْمايُ وَيِبْسامُ وَشَمُوئِيلُ، وَهُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِهِمِ المُنتَسِبَةِ إلَى تُولاعَ. وَكانُوا مُحارِبِينَ شُجْعاناً مِنْ جِيلٍ إلَى جِيلٍ. وَكانَ عَدَدُهُمْ فِي عَهْدِ داوُدَ اثْنَينِ وَعِشْرِينَ ألفاً وَسِتَّ مِئَةٍ.

3 T he son of Uzzi was Izrahiah, and the sons of Izrahiah were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Ishiah. All five of them were chief men.

ابنُ عُزِّي يَزْرَحْيا، وَأبْناءُ يَزْرَحْيا هُمْ مِيخائِيلُ وَعُوبَدْيا وَيُوئِيلُ وَيِشِّيّا، وَهُمْ خَمْسَةٌ، كُلُّهُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِهِمْ.

4 A nd with them, by their generations, according to their fathers’ houses, were thirty-six thousand troops ready for war; for they had many wives and sons.

ويُظهِرُ تارِيخُ عائلاتِهِم أنَّهُ بِالإضافةِ إلَى هؤلاءِ كانَتْ لديهِمْ قُوّاتٌ حَرْبِيَّةٌ عَدَدُها سِتَّةٌ وَثَلاثُونَ ألْفَ رَجُلٍ. إذْ كانَ لَهُمْ زَوْجاتٌ كَثِيراتٌ وَأبْناءٌ كَثِيرُونَ.

5 N ow their brethren among all the families of Issachar were mighty men of valor, listed by their genealogies, eighty-seven thousand in all. The Family of Benjamin

وَكانَ أبْناءُ قَبِيلَتِهِمْ، كُلُّ عَشائِرِ يَسّاكَرَ، مُحارِبْينَ شُجْعاناً أيضاً. وَبَلَغَ عَدَدُهُمْ سَبْعَةً وَثَمانِينَ ألْفاً حَسَبَ سِجِلِّ أنْسابِهِمْ. نَسلُ بَنْيامِيْن

6 T he sons of Benjamin were Bela, Becher, and Jediael—three in all.

أبْناءُ بَنْيامِيْنَ هُمْ بالَعُ وَباكَرُ وَيَدِيعَئِيلُ، وَهُمْ ثَلاثَةٌ.

7 T he sons of Bela were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri—five in all. They were heads of their fathers’ houses, and they were listed by their genealogies, twenty-two thousand and thirty-four mighty men of valor.

أبْناءُ بالَعَ هُمْ أصْبُونَ وَعُزِّي وَعُزِّيئِيلُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ وَعَيْرِي، وَهُمْ خَمْسَةٌ. وَهُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِهِمْ وَمُحارِبُونَ شُجْعاناً. وَبَلَغَ عَدَدُ المُسَجَّلِينَ فِي نَسَبِهِمِ اثْنَينِ وَعِشْرِينَ ألفاً وَأربَعَةً وَثَلاثِينَ.

8 T he sons of Becher were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jerimoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these are the sons of Becher.

أبْناءُ باكَرَ هُمْ زَمِيرَةُ وَيُوعاشُ وَألِيعَزَرُ وَألْيُوعِينايُ وَعُمْرِي وَيَرِيمُوثُ وَأبِّيّا وَعَناثُوثُ وَعَلامَثُ. هَؤُلاءِ كُلُّهُمْ أبْناءُ باكَرَ.

9 A nd they were recorded by genealogy according to their generations, heads of their fathers’ houses, twenty thousand two hundred mighty men of valor.

وبلغَ عَدَدُ المُسجّلينَ في نَسَبِهِمْ، بحَسَبِ رؤساءِ العائلاتِ المُحارِبينَ الشُّجعانِ، اثْنَينِ وعِشرينَ ألْفاً ومئتينِ مِنَ المُحارِبينَ الشُّجعانِ.

10 T he son of Jediael was Bilhan, and the sons of Bilhan were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tharshish, and Ahishahar.

ابْنُ يَدِيعَئِيلَ بَلْهانُ. وَأبْناءُ بَلْهانَ هُمْ يَعِيشُ وَبَنْيامِيْنُ وَأَهُودُ وَكَنْعَنَةُ وَزَيْتانُ وَتَرْشِيشُ وَأخِيشاحَرُ.

11 A ll these sons of Jediael were heads of their fathers’ houses; there were seventeen thousand two hundred mighty men of valor fit to go out for war and battle.

هَؤُلاءِ كُلُّهُمْ أبْناءُ يَدِيعَئِيلَ، رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِهِمْ، وَمُحارِبُونَ شُجْعانٌ، سَبعَةَ عَشَرَ ألْفَ رَجُلٍ مُتَأهِّبٍ لِلخِدْمَةِ العَسْكَرِيَّةِ.

12 S huppim and Huppim were the sons of Ir, and Hushim was the son of Aher. The Family of Naphtali

وَشُفِّيمُ وَحُفِّيمُ ابْنا عَيرَ، وَحُوشِيمُ هُوَ ابْنُ أحِيرَ. نَسلُ نَفْتالِي

13 T he sons of Naphtali were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah. The Family of Manasseh (West)

أبْناءُ نَفْتالِي هُمْ يَحْصِيئِيلُ وَجُونِي وَيَصَرٌ وَشَلُّومُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ بِلْهَةَ. نَسلُ مَنَسَّى

14 T he descendants of Manasseh: his Syrian concubine bore him Machir the father of Gilead, the father of Asriel.

أبْناءُ مَنَسَّى هُمْ إشْرِيئِيلُ الَّذِي أنجَبَتْهُ جارِيَةُ مَنَسَّى الأرامِيَّةُ، وَأنْجَبَتْ لَهُ ماكِيرَ، أبا جِلْعادَ.

15 M achir took as his wife the sister of Huppim and Shuppim, whose name was Maachah. The name of Gilead’s grandson was Zelophehad, but Zelophehad begot only daughters.

وَاسْمُ ابْنِهِ الثّانِي صَلُفْحادُ. وَلَمْ يُنجِبْ صَلُفْحادُ إلّا بَناتٍ. وَتَزَوَّجَ ماكِيرُ امْرأةً مِنَ الحِفيِّينَ وَالشوفِيِّينَ. وَكانَ لِماكِيرَ زَوْجَةٌ اسْمُها مَعْكَةُ.

16 ( Maachah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Peresh. The name of his brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

وَأنجَبَتْ مَعْكَةُ زَوْجَةُ ماكِيرَ ابْناً، وَسَمَّتْهُ فَرَشاً. وَكانَ لَهُ أخٌ اسْمُهُ شارَشُ. وَكانَ لِفَرَشٍ ابْنانِ هُما أُولامُ وَراقَمُ.

17 T he son of Ulam was Bedan.) These were the descendants of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

وَابْنُ أُولامَ بَدانُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ جِلْعادَ بْنِ ماكِير بْنِ مَنَسَّى.

18 H is sister Hammoleketh bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

وَقَدْ أنجَبَتْ أُختُهُ هَمُّولَكَةُ إيشْهُودَ وَأبِيعَزَرَ وَمَحلَةَ.

19 A nd the sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam. The Family of Ephraim

وَأبْناءُ شَمِيداعَ هُمْ أخِيانُ وَشَكِيمُ وَلِقْحِي وَأنِيعامُ. نَسلُ أفْرايِم

20 T he sons of Ephraim were Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eladah his son, Tahath his son,

أبْناءُ أفْرايِمَ هُمْ شُوتالَحُ وَبَرَدٌ وَتَحَثٌ وَألِعادا وَتَحَثٌ

21 Z abad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead. The men of Gath who were born in that land killed them because they came down to take away their cattle.

وَزابادُ وَشُوتالَحُ، وَابْنا أفْرايِمَ الآخِرانِ هُما عَزَرٌ وَألِعادُ. وَقَدْ قَتَلَهُما رِجالُ جَتَّ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الأرْضِ، لِأنَّهُما نَزَلا إلَى هُناكَ لِيَسْرِقا ماشِيَتَهُمْ.

22 T hen Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

وَناحَ عَلَيهما أبُوهُما أفْرايِمُ أيّاماً كَثِيرَةً، وَجاءَ أقرِباؤُهُ إلَيهِ لِيُعَزُّوهُ.

23 A nd when he went in to his wife, she conceived and bore a son; and he called his name Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house.

ثُمَّ عاشَرَ زَوْجَتَهُ، فَحَبِلَتْ وَأنجَبَتِ ابْناً هُوَ بَرِيعَةَ، لِأنَّ مِحنَةً أصابَتْ بَيتَهُ.

24 N ow his daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth Horon and Uzzen Sheerah;

وَكانَ لِأفْرايِمُ بِنتٌ اسْمُها شِيرَةَ، وَقَدْ بَنَتْ بَيتَ حُورُونَ العُلْيا وَالسُّفلَى وَأُزِّينَ شِيرَةَ.

25 a nd Rephah was his son, as well as Resheph, and Telah his son, Tahan his son,

وَابْنُهُ رَفَحٌ، وَابْنُهُ رَشَفٌ، وَابْنُهُ تَلَحٌ، وَابْنُهُ تاحَنُ،

26 L aadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,

وَابْنُهُ لَعْدانُ، وَابْنُهُ عَمِّيهُودُ، وَابْنُهُ ألِيشَمَعُ،

27 N un his son, and Joshua his son.

وَابْنُهُ نُونٌ، وَابْنُهُ يَشُوعُ.

28 N ow their possessions and dwelling places were Bethel and its towns: to the east Naaran, to the west Gezer and its towns, and Shechem and its towns, as far as Ayyah and its towns;

وَكانُوا يَملُكُونَ وَيَسْكُنُونَ بَيتَ إيلَ وَقُراها إلَى نَعَرانَ شَرْقاً، وَإلَى جازَرَ وَقُراها وَشَكِيمَ وَقُراها غَرْباً، وَإلَى أيَّةَ وَقُراها.

29 a nd by the borders of the children of Manasseh were Beth Shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel. The Family of Asher

وَكانَ بَنُو مَنَسَّى يَملِكُونَ بَيتَ شانَ وَقُراها، وَتَعْنَكَ وَقُراها، وَمَجِدُّو وَقُراها، وَدُورَ وَقُراها. وَقَدْ سَكَنَ هَذِهِ المَناطِقَ أبْناءُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ إسْرائِيلَ. نَسلُ أشِير

30 T he sons of Asher were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.

أبْناءُ أشِيرَ هُمْ يَمْنَةُ وَيَشْوَةُ وَيَشْوِي وَبَرِيعَةُ، وَأُختُهُمْ سارَحُ.

31 T he sons of Beriah were Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.

وَابْنا بَرِيعَةَ هُما حابِرُ وَمَلْكِيئِيلُ، وَمَلْكِيئِيلُ هُوَ أبُو بِرْزاوَثَ.

32 A nd Heber begot Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and their sister Shua.

وَأنجَبَ حابِرُ يَفلِيطَ وَشُومَيْرَ وَحُوثامَ وَأُختُهُمْ شُوعا.

33 T he sons of Japhlet were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were the children of Japhlet.

وَأبْناءُ يَفليطَ هُمْ فاسَكُ وَبِمْهالُ وَعَشْوَةُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ يَفلِيطَ.

34 T he sons of Shemer were Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.

أبْناءُ شُومِيْرَ هُمْ آخِي وَرُهْجَةُ وَيَحُبَّةُ وَأرامُ.

35 A nd the sons of his brother Helem were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.

أبْناءُ هِيلامَ أخِي شُومِيرَ هُمْ صُوفَحُ وَيَمْناعُ وَشالَشُ وَعامالُ.

36 T he sons of Zophah were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,

أبْناءُ صُوفَحَ هُمْ سُوحٌ وَحَرَنْفَرُ وَشُوعالُ وَبِيرِي وَيَمْرَةُ

37 B ezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Jithran, and Beera.

وَباصِرُ وَهُودٌ وَشَمّا وَشِلْشَةُ وَيِثْرانُ وَبَئِيرا.

38 T he sons of Jether were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.

أبْناءُ يَثَرٍ هُمْ يَفُنَّةُ وَفِسْفَةُ وَأرا.

39 T he sons of Ulla were Arah, Haniel, and Rizia.

أبْناءُ عُلّا هُمْ آرَحُ وَحَنِيئِيلُ وَرَصِيا.

40 A ll these were the children of Asher, heads of their fathers’ houses, choice men, mighty men of valor, chief leaders. And they were recorded by genealogies among the army fit for battle; their number was twenty-six thousand.

كُلُّ هؤلاءِ الأشيريِّين كانُوا قادةً لعائِلاتِهِم ومُحارِبينَ بارزينَ شُجْعاناً. كانوا قادةَ القَبِيلَة المُسجَّلينَ في الجيشِ وَالمُهَيَّأينَ للقتالِ في الحَرْبِ، وَكانَ مَجْمُوعُهُمْ سِتَّةً وَعِشْرِينَ ألفاً.
