1 A nd when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

وَدَعا يَسُوعُ تَلامِيذَهُ الاثنَي عَشَرَ، وَأعطاهُمْ سُلطاناً عَلَىْ الأرواحِ النَّجِسَةِ، لِطَردِها وَشِفاءِ جَمِيعِ الأمراضِ وَالعِلَلِ.

2 N ow the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

وَهَذِهِ هِيَ أسماءُ الاثنَي عَشَرَ رَسُولاً: أوَّلاً سِمعانُ الَّذي يُدعَى أيضاً بُطرُسَ، وَأخُوهُ أندراوُسُ، يَعقُوبُ بْنُ زَبَدِي وَأخُوهُ يُوحَنّا،

3 P hilip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

فِيلِبُّسُ وَبَرْثِلْماوُسُ، تُوما وَمَتَّى جامِعُ الضَّرائِبِ، يَعقُوبُ بْنُ حَلْفَى وَتَدّاوُسَ،

4 S imon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. Sending Out the Twelve

سِمعانُ الَّذي يُدعَى أيضاً «الغَيُّورَ،» وَيَهُوذا الإسْخَريُوطِيُّ الَّذِي خانَ يَسُوعَ.

5 T hese twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

وَقَدْ أرسَلَ يَسُوعُ هَؤُلاءِ الاثنَي عَشَرَ وَأعطاهُمُ التَّعلِيماتِ التّالِيَةَ: «لا تَذهَبُوا إلَى مِنْطَقَةٍ غَيرِ يَهُودِيَّةٍ، وَلا تَدخُلُوا مَدِينَةً سامِرِيَّةً،

6 B ut go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

بَلِ اذهَبُوا إلَى خِرافِ بَني إسْرائِيلَ الضّالَّةِ،

7 A nd as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

وَأعلِنُوا أنَّ مَلَكُوتَ السَّماواتِ قَرِيبٌ.

8 H eal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

اشفُوا المَرضَى، أقِيمُوا المَوتَى، اشفُوا البُرصَ، أخرِجُوا الأرواحَ الشِّرِّيرَةَ. أخَذْتُمُ السُّلطانَ لِعَمَلِ ذَلِكَ مَجّاناً، فَأعطُوا الآخَرِينَ مَجّاناً أيضاً.

9 P rovide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,

لا تَحمِلُوا فِي أحزِمَتِكُمْ نُقُوداً مِنَ الذَّهَبِ أوْ الفِضَّةِ أوْ النُّحاسِ،

10 n or bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.

وَلا تَحمِلُوا حَقِيبَةً وَلا ثَوباً إضافِياً أوْ حِذاءً إضافِياً أوْ عُكّازاً. فَالعامِلُ يَستَحِقُّ طَعامَهُ.

11 “ Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.

«وَعِندَما تَدخُلُونَ أيَّةَ مَدِينَةٍ أوْ قَريَةٍ، ابْحَثُوا عَنْ شَخصٍ يَستَحِقُّ أنْ يَستَقبِلَكُمْ، وَامْكُثُوا عِندَهُ حَتَّى تُغادِرُوا المَدِينَةَ.

12 A nd when you go into a household, greet it.

وَعِندَما تَدخُلُونَ بَيتاً سَلِّمُوا عَلَى أهلِهِ.

13 I f the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

فَإنْ كانَ أهلُ البَيتِ مُستَحِقِّينَ، فَإنَّ سَلامَكُمْ سَيَأتِي عَلَيهِمْ. وَإنْ كانوا غَيرَ مُستَحِقِّينَ، فَإنَّ سَلامَكُمْ سَيَرجِعُ إلَيكُمْ.

14 A nd whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

إنْ كانَ أحَدٌ لا يُرَحِبُّ بِكُمْ فِي بَيتٍ أوْ فِي مَدِينَةٍ، وَلا يَستَمِعُ إلَى رِسالَتِكُمْ، فَاخرُجُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ البَيتِ أوْ تِلكَ المَدِينَةِ، وَانفُضُوا الغُبارَ الَّذِي عَلِقَ بِأقدامِكُمْ.

15 A ssuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Persecutions Are Coming

أقولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ، فِي يَومِ الدَّينونَةِ، سَيَكُونُ لأهلِ سَدُومَ وَعَمُّورَةَ حالٌ أكثَرَ احتِمالاً مِمّا لِتِلْكَ المَدِينَةِ. يَسُوعُ يُحَذِّرُ مِنَ الضِّيقات

16 “ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

«ها أنا أُرسِلُكُمْ كَالغَنَمِ بَينَ الذِّئابِ. فَكُونُوا أذكِياءَ كَالحَيّاتِ، وَأبرِياءَ كَالحَمامِ.

17 B ut beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.

احذَرُوا مِنَ النّاسِ، لِأنَّهُمْ سَيُسَلِّمُونَكُمْ لِلمُحاكَمَةِ فِي مَحاكِمِهِمْ، وَسَيجلِدُونَكُمْ فِي مَجامِعِهِمْ.

18 Y ou will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

وَسَيُسَلِّمُونَكُمْ إلَى حُكّامٍ وَمُلُوكٍ لِأنَّكُمْ تَلامِيذِي. سَتَكُونُ هَذِهِ فُرصَتُكُمْ لِتَشهَدُوا عَنِّي لليَهودِ وَلِغَيرِ اليَهُودِ.

19 B ut when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

وَعِندَما يَقبِضَونَ عَلَيكُمْ، لا تَقلَقُوا بِخُصُوصِ ما سَتَقُولُونَهُ، لأنَّكُمْ سَتُعْطَونَ الكَلامَ المُناسِبَ فِي تِلْكَ السّاعَةِ

20 f or it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

تَذَكَّرُوا أنَّهُ لَيسَ أنتُمُ الَّذِينَ سَتَتَكَلَّمُونَ، بَلْ رُوحُ أبِيكُمْ هُوَ الَّذِي سَيَتَكَلَّمُ فيكُمْ.

21 “ Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

«سَيُسَلِّمُ الأخُ أخاهُ لِلقَتلِ، وَسَيُسَلِّمُ الأبُ وَلَدَهُ. وَسَيَنقَلِبُ الأولادُ عَلَى وَالِدِيهِمْ وَيَقتُلُونَهُمْ.

22 A nd you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

وَسَيُبغُضُكُمْ جَمِيعُ النّاسِ بِسَبَبِ اسْمِي، وَلَكِنِ الَّذِي يَبقَى أميناً إلَى النِّهايَةِ، فَهَذا سَيَخلُصُ.

23 W hen they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

وَعِندَما يَضطَهِدُونَكُمْ فِي إحدَى المُدُنِ، اهرُبُوا إلَى مَدِينَةٍ أُخْرَى. أقولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ، لَنْ تَنتَهُوا مِنَ الذَّهابِ إلَى كُلِّ مُدُنِ إسْرائِيلَ حَتَّى يَأتِي ابْنُ الإنسانِ ثانِيَةً.

24 “ A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

«ما مِنْ تِلمِيذٍ أفضَلُ مِنْ مُعَلِّمِهِ، وَلا عَبدٍ أعظَمُ مِنْ سَيِّدِهِ.

25 I t is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!

فَلْيَكتَفِ التِّلمِيذُ بِأنْ يَصِيرَ كَمُعَلِّمِهِ، وَلْيَكتَفِ العَبْدُ بِأنْ يَصِيرَ كَسَيِّدِهِ. فَإنْ لَقَّبوا رَأسَ البَيتِ «بَعلَزَبُولَ، » فَماذا سَيُلَقِّبونَ بَقيَّةَ أعضاءَ البَيتِ؟ الخَوفُ مِنَ اللهِ لا مِنَ النّاس

26 T herefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Jesus Teaches the Fear of God

«فَلا تَخافُوا مِنهُمِ، فَما مِنْ مَخفِيٍّ إلّا وَسَيُكشَفُ، وَما مِنْ مَستُورٍ إلّا وَسَيُعلَنُ.

27 “ Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.

فَكُلُّ ما أقُولُهُ لَكُمْ فِي الظُّلمَةِ، قُولُوهُ فِي النُّورِ، وَكُلُّ ما هُمِسَ بِهِ فِي الآذانِ، أذيعُوهُ مِنْ فَوقِ سُطُوحِ البُيُوتِ.

28 A nd do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

«لا تَخافُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَقتُلُونَ الجَسَدَ، لَكِنَّهُمْ لا يَستَطِيعُونَ قَتلَ النَّفسِ، بَلْ خافُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَستَطِيعُ إهلاكَ الجَسَدِ وَالنَّفسِ كِلَيهِما فِي جَهَنَّمَ.

29 A re not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.

«ألا يُباعُ عُصفُورانِ بِفِلْسٍ واحِدٍ؟ وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ، لا يَسقُطُ أحَدُهُما عَلَىْ الأرْضِ إلّا بِإذْنِ أبِيكُمْ.

30 B ut the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

أمّا أنتُمْ فَحَتَّى شَعرُ رَأْسِكُمْ كُلُّهُ مَعدُودٌ.

31 D o not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Confess Christ Before Men

إذاً لا تَخافُوا، فَأنْتُمْ أثمَنُ مِنْ عَصافِيرَ كَثِيرَةٍ. الاعتِرافُ بِالمَسِيحِ أمامَ النّاس

32 “ Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

«كُلُّ مَنْ يَعتَرِفُ بِي أمامَ الآخَرِينَ، فَسَأعتَرِفُ بِهِ أمامَ أبِي الَّذِي فِي السَّماءِ.

33 B ut whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Christ Brings Division

وَمَنْ يُنكِرُنِي أمامَ النّاسِ، سَأُنكِرُهُ أمامَ أبِي الَّذِي فِي السَّماءِ. المَسيحُ أوَّلاً

34 “ Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

«لا تَظُنُّوا أنِّي جِئتُ لِكَي أُرَسِّخَ سَلاماً عَلَى الأرْضِ. لَمْ آتِ لِأُعطِيَ سَلاماً بَلْ سَيفاً!

35 F or I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;

أتَيتُ: ‹لِيَنقَسِمَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَىْ أبِيهِ، وَالبِنتُ عَلَىْ أُمِّها، وَالكَنَّةُ عَلَىْ حَماتِها.

36 a nd ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

فَيَكونَ أعداءُ الإنسانِ هُمْ أهلَ بَيتِهِ!›

37 H e who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

«لِأنَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ أباهُ وَأُمَّهُ أكثَرَ مِنِّي، لا يَستَحِقُّ أنْ يَكُونَ مِنْ خاصَّتِي. مَنْ يُحِبُّ ابْناً أوْ ابنَةً أكثَرَ مِنِّي، لا يَستَحِقُّ أنْ يَكُونَ مِنْ خاصَّتِي.

38 A nd he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

وَمَنْ لا يَأخُذُ صَلِيبَهُ وَيَتبَعُنِي فَهُوَ لا يَستَحِقُّنيْ.

39 H e who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. A Cup of Cold Water

مَنْ يُحاوِلُ أنْ يَربَحَ حَياتَهُ سَيَخسَرُها، أمّا مَنْ يَخسَرُ حَياتَهُ لِأجلِي فَسَيَربَحُها.

40 “ He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

«مَنْ يُرَحِّبُ بِكُمْ، فَإنَّهُ يُرَحِّبُ بِي. وَمَنْ يُرَحِّبُ بِي، فَإنَّهُ يُرَحِّبُ بِالَّذِي أرسَلَنِي.

41 H e who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

فَالَّذِي يُرَحِّبُ بِنَبِيِّ لِأنَّهُ نَبِيٌّ، سَيَنالُ مُكافَأةَ نَبِيٍّ. وَالَّذِي يُرَحِّبُ بِبارٍّ، لِأنَّهُ بارٌّ سَيَنالُ مُكافَأةَ بارٍّ.

42 A nd whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

وَمَنْ يُعطِي وَلَو كَأسَ ماءٍ بارِدٍ لِأحَدِ تَلامِيذِي المُتَواضِعِينَ، لِأنَّهُ تِلمِيذِي، فَالحَقُّ أقُولُ لَكُمْ إنَّهُ لَنْ يُحرَمَ مِنْ مُكافَأتَهُ.»
