1 B ut a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

Некоторый же муж, именем Анания, с женою своею Сапфирою, продав имение,

2 a nd kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

утаил из цены, с ведома и жены своей, а некоторую часть принес и положил к ногам Апостолов.

3 B ut Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Но Петр сказал: Анания! Для чего сатане вложить в сердце твое солгать Духу Святому и утаить из цены земли?

4 W hiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Чем ты владел, не твое ли было, и приобретенное продажею не в твоей ли власти находилось? Для чего ты положил это в сердце твоем? Ты солгал не человекам, а Богу.

5 A nd Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

Услышав сии слова, Анания пал бездыханен; и великий страх объял всех, слышавших это.

6 A nd the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

И встав, юноши приготовили его к погребению и, вынеся, похоронили.

7 A nd it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

Часа через три после сего пришла и жена его, не зная о случившемся.

8 A nd Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

Петр же спросил ее: скажи мне, за столько ли продали вы землю? Она сказала: да, за столько.

9 T hen Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Но Петр сказал ей: что это согласились вы искусить Духа Господня? вот, входят в двери погребавшие мужа твоего; и тебя вынесут.

10 T hen fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

Вдруг она упала у ног его и испустила дух. И юноши, войдя, нашли ее мертвою и, вынеся, похоронили подле мужа ее.

11 A nd great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

И великий страх объял всю церковь и всех слышавших это.

12 A nd by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

Руками же Апостолов совершались в народе многие знамения и чудеса; и все единодушно пребывали в притворе Соломоновом.

13 A nd of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

Из посторонних же никто не смел пристать к ним, а народ прославлял их.

14 A nd believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

Верующих же более и более присоединялось к Господу, множество мужчин и женщин,

15 I nsomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

так что выносили больных на улицы и полагали на постелях и кроватях, дабы хотя тень проходящего Петра осенила кого из них.

16 T here came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Сходились также в Иерусалим многие из окрестных городов, неся больных и нечистыми духами одержимых, которые и исцелялись все.

17 T hen the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

Первосвященник же и с ним все, принадлежавшие к ереси саддукейской, исполнились зависти,

18 a nd laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

и наложили руки свои на Апостолов, и заключили их в народную темницу.

19 B ut the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

Но Ангел Господень ночью отворил двери темницы и, выведя их, сказал:

20 G o, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

идите и, став в храме, говорите народу все сии слова жизни.

21 A nd when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Они, выслушав, вошли утром в храм и учили. Между тем первосвященник и которые с ним, придя, созвали синедрион и всех старейшин из сынов Израилевых и послали в темницу привести.

22 B ut when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,

Но служители, придя, не нашли их в темнице и, возвратившись, донесли,

23 s aying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

говоря: темницу мы нашли запертою со всею предосторожностью и стражей стоящими перед дверями; но, отворив, не нашли в ней никого.

24 N ow when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

Когда услышали эти слова первосвященник, начальник стражи и первосвященники, недоумевали, что бы это значило.

25 T hen came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

Пришел же некто и донес им, говоря: вот, мужи, которых вы заключили в темницу, стоят в храме и учат народ.

26 T hen went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

Тогда начальник стражи пошел со служителями и привел их без принуждения, потому что боялись народа, чтобы не побили их камнями.

27 A nd when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

Приведя же их, поставили в синедрионе; и спросил их первосвященник, говоря:

28 s aying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

не запретили ли мы вам накрепко учить о имени сем? и вот, вы наполнили Иерусалим учением вашим и хотите навести на нас кровь Того Человека.

29 T hen Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Петр же и Апостолы в ответ сказали: должно повиноваться больше Богу, нежели человекам.

30 T he God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

Бог отцов наших воскресил Иисуса, Которого вы умертвили, повесив на древе.

31 H im hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Его возвысил Бог десницею Своею в Начальника и Спасителя, дабы дать Израилю покаяние и прощение грехов.

32 A nd we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Свидетели Ему в сем мы и Дух Святый, Которого Бог дал повинующимся Ему.

33 W hen they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Слышав это, они разрывались от гнева и умышляли умертвить их.

34 T hen stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

Встав же в синедрионе, некто фарисей, именем Гамалиил, законоучитель, уважаемый всем народом, приказал вывести Апостолов на короткое время,

35 a nd said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

а им сказал: мужи Израильские! подумайте сами с собою о людях сих, что вам с ними делать.

36 F or before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

Ибо незадолго перед сим явился Февда, выдавая себя за кого-то великого, и к нему пристало около четырехсот человек; но он был убит, и все, которые слушались его, рассеялись и исчезли.

37 A fter this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

После него во время переписи явился Иуда Галилеянин и увлек за собою довольно народа; но он погиб, и все, которые слушались его, рассыпались.

38 A nd now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

И ныне, говорю вам, отстаньте от людей сих и оставьте их; ибо если это предприятие и это дело--от человеков, то оно разрушится,

39 b ut if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

а если от Бога, то вы не можете разрушить его;, чтобы вам не оказаться и богопротивниками.

40 A nd to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

Они послушались его; и, призвав Апостолов, били и, запретив им говорить о имени Иисуса, отпустили их.

41 A nd they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Они же пошли из синедриона, радуясь, что за имя Господа Иисуса удостоились принять бесчестие.

42 A nd daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

И всякий день в храме и по домам не переставали учить и благовествовать об Иисусе Христе.
