1 E l Señor llamó a Moisés desde el tabernáculo de reunión, y habló con él. Le dijo:

And the Lord called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

2 « Habla con los hijos de Israel y diles: “Cuando alguno de ustedes presente una ofrenda al Señor, la presentará de su ganado vacuno u ovejuno.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the Lord, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

3 ” Si su ofrenda es un holocausto vacuno, ofrecerá de manera voluntaria un macho sin defecto. Lo ofrecerá delante del Señor, a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión.

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.

4 P ondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del holocausto, y le será aceptado para expiación suya.

And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5 E ntonces degollará el becerro en presencia del Señor, y la rociarán alrededor y sobre el altar que está a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión.

And he shall kill the bullock before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

6 L uego desollará el holocausto y lo cortará en pedazos.

And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.

7 E ntonces los hijos del sacerdote Aarón pondrán fuego sobre el altar, y compondrán la leña sobre el fuego.

And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

8 L uego los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón acomodarán las piezas, la cabeza y la grasa de los intestinos, sobre la leña que estará sobre el fuego, encima del altar,

and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

9 y enjuagarán los intestinos y las piernas, y el sacerdote quemará todo esto sobre el altar. Se trata de un holocausto. Es una ofrenda encendida de olor grato para el Señor.

but his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

10 ” Si su ofrenda para el holocausto la toma del rebaño de las ovejas o de las cabras, deberá ofrecer un macho sin ningún defecto,

And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.

11 y degollarlo delante del Señor, al lado norte del altar. Los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón rociarán su sangre sobre el altar y alrededor de éste.

And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.

12 L o cortarán en trozos, junto con la cabeza y la grasa de los intestinos, y el sacerdote acomodará todo ello sobre la leña que arde sobre el altar;

And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

13 e njuagará las entrañas y las piernas, y el sacerdote lo ofrecerá todo y lo dejará arder sobre el altar. Se trata de un holocausto, de una ofrenda encendida de olor grato para el Señor.

but he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

14 ” Si la ofrenda para el Señor es un holocausto de aves, su ofrenda será de tórtolas o de palominos.

And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the Lord be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.

15 E l sacerdote la ofrecerá sobre el altar, y le quitará la cabeza y hará que arda en el altar, y exprimirá su sangre sobre la pared del altar.

And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:

16 L e quitará el buche y las plumas, las cuales echará hacia el oriente, junto al altar, en el lugar de las cenizas.

and he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:

17 P artirá el ave por las alas, pero no en dos, y la dejará que se queme sobre el altar, sobre la leña que estará en el fuego. Es un holocausto. Es una ofrenda encendida de olor grato para el Señor.

and he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.
