1 M oses finished putting up the meeting tent. On that day he put oil on it and made it holy, with the things inside, the altar and all its objects. He put oil on them and made them holy.

And it cometh to pass on the day of Moses' finishing setting up the tabernacle, that he anointeth it, and sanctifieth it, and all its vessels, and the altar, and all its vessels, and he anointeth them, and sanctifieth them,

2 T hen the leaders of Israel, the heads of their fathers’ houses, brought their gifts. They were the leaders of the families, the heads of those who were numbered.

and the princes of Israel (heads of the house of their fathers, they princes of the tribes, they who are standing over those numbered) bring near,

3 A s gifts to the Lord they brought six covered wagons and twelve bulls, a wagon for every two of the leaders and a bull for each one. Then they gave them in front of the meeting tent.

yea, they bring their offering before Jehovah, six waggons covered, and twelve oxen -- a waggon for two of the princes, and an ox for one -- and they bring them near before the tabernacle.

4 T he Lord said to Moses,

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

5 Receive these things from them, that they may be used in the work of the meeting tent. Give them to the Levites, to each man for the work he does.”

`Receive from them, and they have been to do the service of the tent of meeting, and thou hast given them unto the Levites, each according to his service.'

6 S o Moses took the wagons and the bulls, and gave them to the Levites.

And Moses taketh the waggons and the oxen, and giveth them unto the Levites.

7 H e gave two wagons and four bulls to the sons of Gershon, for the work they were doing.

The two of the waggons and the four of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Gershon, according to their service,

8 H e gave four wagons and eight bulls to the sons of Merari, for the work they were doing under the leading of Ithamar the son of Aaron the religious leader.

and the four of the waggons and the eight of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Merari, according to their service, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest;

9 B ut Moses did not give any to the sons of Kohath. They had the duty of taking care of the holy objects which had to be carried on their shoulders.

and to the sons of Kohath he hath not given, for the service of the sanctuary on them: on the shoulder they bear.

10 T he leaders gave gifts to set apart the altar on the day the oil was poured on it. They gave their gifts in front of the altar.

And the princes bring near the dedication of the altar in the day of its being anointed; yea, the princes bring near their offering before the altar.

11 T hen the Lord said to Moses, “Let one leader each day give the gifts to set apart the altar.”

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `One prince a day -- one prince a day -- do they bring near their offering for the dedication of the altar.'

12 T he one who gave his gift on the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the family of Judah.

And he who is bringing near on the first day his offering is Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

13 H is gift was one silver dish that weighed as much as 130 pieces of silver, and one silver dish that weighed as much as seventy pieces of silver. They were weighed by the weight of silver agreed upon for the meeting tent. Both of them were full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain gift.

And his offering one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present;

14 A nd he gave one gold dish weighing as much as ten pieces of silver, full of special perfume.

one golden spoon of ten, full of perfume;

15 H e gave one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, for a burnt gift in worship.

one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering;

16 H e gave one male goat for a sin gift.

one kid of the goats for a sin-offering;

17 F or the peace gifts he gave two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the gift given by Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.

18 O n the second day Nethanel the son of Zuar, leader of Issachar, gave a gift in worship.

On the second day hath Nethaneel son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, brought near.

19 H e gave for his gift one silver dish that weighed as much as 130 pieces of silver, and one silver dish weighing as much as seventy pieces of silver. They were weighed by the weight of silver agreed upon for the meeting tent. Both of them were full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain gift.

He hath brought near his offering, one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present;

20 A nd he gave one gold dish weighing as much as ten pieces of silver, full of special perfume.

24 O n the third day it was Eliab the son of Helon, leader of the sons of Zebulun.

On the third day, the prince of the sons of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon; --

84 T his was the gift to set apart the altar on the day the oil was poured on it. The leaders of Israel gave twelve silver dishes, twelve deep dishes made of silver, and twelve gold dishes.

This the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons;

85 E ach silver dish weighed as much as 130 pieces of silver. Each deep dish weighed as much as seventy pieces of silver. All the silver of the dishes weighed as much as 2, 400 pieces of silver. They were weighed by the weight of silver agreed upon for the meeting tent.

a hundred and thirty each silver dish, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels two thousand and four hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary.

86 T he twelve gold dishes full of special perfume each weighed as much as ten pieces of silver. They were weighed by the weight of silver agreed upon for the meeting tent. All the gold of the dishes weighed as much as 120 pieces of silver.

Golden spoons twelve, full of perfume; ten each spoon, by the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the spoons a hundred and twenty;

87 A ll the animals given for the burnt gift were twelve bulls, twelve rams, and twelve male lambs one year old with their grain gifts. Twelve male goats were given for a sin gift.

all the oxen for burnt-offering twelve bullocks, rams twelve, lambs, sons of a year twelve, and their present; and kids of the goats twelve, for sin-offering;

88 A ll the animals given for the peace gifts were twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty male goats, and sixty male lambs one year old. This was the gift to set apart the altar after the oil was poured on it.

and all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace-offerings twenty and four bullocks, rams sixty, he-goats sixty, lambs, sons of a year, sixty; this is the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed.

89 M oses went into the meeting tent to speak with the Lord. And he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy-seat that was on the special box with the Law, between the two cherubim. So the Lord spoke to him.

And in the going in of Moses unto the tent of meeting to speak with Him -- he doth even hear the voice speaking unto him from off the mercy-seat which upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubs; and He speaketh unto him.
