Ezekiel 41 ~ Ezekiel 41

picture

1 T hen he brought me into the center room, and showed me the width of the side pillars. They were six cubits wide on each side.

And he bringeth me in unto the temple, and he measureth the posts, six cubits the breadth on this side, and six cubits the breadth on that side -- the breadth of the tent.

2 T he doorway was ten cubits wide, and the side walls on each side of it were five cubits wide. The center room was as long as forty cubits and as wide as twenty cubits.

And the breadth of the opening ten cubits; and the sides of the opening five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side; and he measureth its length forty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

3 T hen he went into a smaller room. Each side pillar of the doorway was two cubits wide, and the doorway was six cubits high and seven cubits wide.

And he hath gone inward, and measureth the post of the opening two cubits, and the opening six cubits, and the breadth of the opening seven cubits.

4 T he room was as long as twenty cubits and as wide as twenty cubits, at the far end of the center room. He said to me, “This is the most holy place.”

And he measureth its length twenty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits, unto the front of the temple, and he saith unto me, `This the holy of holies.'

5 T hen he showed me that the wall of the Lord’s house was six cubits in width. And the side rooms all around the house on every side were four cubits wide.

And he measureth the wall of the house six cubits, and the breadth of the side-chamber four cubits, all round the house round about.

6 T he side rooms were on three floors, one above the other, and thirty on each floor. The outside wall on each floor was not as wide as the one below it, so the side rooms could sit upon the wall without being nailed to it.

And the side-chambers side-chamber by side-chamber, three and thirty times; and they are entering into the wall -- which the house hath for the side-chambers all round about -- to be taken hold of, and they are not taken hold of by the wall of the house.

7 T he side rooms at the top were larger than the ones at the bottom, all around the Lord’s house. The house became wider as it went higher. There were steps leading up from the first floor all the way to the third floor.

And a broad place and a turning place still upwards to the side-chambers, for the turning round of the house still upwards all round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house upwards, and so the lower one goeth up unto the higher by the midst.

8 I saw that the house had a raised base all around it, which made the base for the side rooms six cubits high.

And I have looked at the house, the height all round about: the foundations of the side-chambers the fulness of the reed, six cubits by the joining.

9 T he width of the outside wall of the side rooms was five cubits. But the open space between the side rooms

The breadth of the wall that to the side-chamber at the outside five cubits; and that which is left the place of the side-chambers that to the house.

10 a nd the center rooms was as wide as twenty cubits all around the house on every side.

And between the chambers a breadth of twenty cubits round about the house, all round about.

11 T here were doorways to the side rooms from this open space, one on the north and another on the south. The width of this open space was five cubits wide all around.

And the opening of the side-chamber to the place left, one opening northward, and one opening southward, and the breadth of the place that is left five cubits all round about.

12 T he building in front of the open space of the Lord’s house, on the west side, was as wide as seventy cubits. The width of the building wall was five cubits, and it was as long as ninety cubits.

As to the building that at the front of the separate place the corner westward, the breadth seventy cubits, and the wall of the building five cubits broad all round about, and its length ninety cubits.

13 T hen he showed me that the Lord’s house was as long as 100 cubits. The open space and the other building and its walls were also as long as 100 cubits.

And he hath measured the house, the length a hundred cubits; and the separate place, and the building, and its walls, the length a hundred cubits;

14 A nd the front of the Lord’s house and its grounds on the east side were as wide as 100 cubits.

and the breadth of the front of the house, and of the separate place eastward, a hundred cubits.

15 H e showed me the length of the building to the west, with its walkways on each side. It was as long as 100 cubits. The center room, the most holy place, and the outer porch,

And he hath measured the length of the building unto the front of the separate place that at its hinder part, and its galleries on this side and on that side, a hundred cubits, and the inner temple and the porches of the court,

16 a ll had roofs of wood. And all three had windows with wooden cross-pieces all around. The inside walls of the house were covered with wood from the floor up to the windows, and from the windows to the roof.

the thresholds, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about them three, over-against the threshold, a ceiling of wood all round about, and the ground unto the windows and the covered windows,

17 T here was wood covering the wall above the door, and all the way to the most holy place, and all the walls both inside and out.

over above the opening, and unto the inner-house, and at the outside, and by all the wall all round about within and without measure.

18 P ictures of cherubim and palm trees were cut into the wood. A palm tree was between every two cherubim, and each cherub had two faces.

And it is made cherubs and palm-trees, and a palm-tree between cherub and cherub, and two faces to the cherub;

19 T he face of a man looked toward the palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion looked toward the palm tree on the other side. These pictures were cut into the wood all around the Lord’s house.

and the face of man unto the palm-tree on this side, and the face of a young lion unto the palm-tree on that side; it is made unto all the house all round about.

20 T here were cherubim and palm trees from the floor to above the door, and on the wall of the center room.

from the earth unto above the opening the cherubs and the palm-trees made, and the wall of the temple.

21 T he pillars beside the door of the center room were the same width on all four sides, and they looked alike.

Of the temple the side post square, and of the front of the sanctuary, the appearance as the appearance.

22 T here was an altar of wood three cubits high and two cubits long. Its corners, base, and sides were made of wood. And he said to me, “This is the table that is before the Lord.”

Of the altar, the wood three cubits in height, and its length two cubits; and its corners to it, and its length, and its walls of wood, and he speaketh unto me, `This the table that before Jehovah.'

23 T he center room and the most holy place each had two doors.

And two doors to the temple and to the sanctuary;

24 A nd each of these doors had two parts that opened and closed.

and two leaves to the doors, two turning leaves to the doors, two to the one door, and two leaves to the other.

25 P ictures of cherubim and palm trees were made on the doors of the center room, like the pictures on the walls. And there was a roof of wood over the front of the porch outside.

And made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubs and palm-trees as are made on the walls, and a thickness of wood at the front of the porch on the outside.

26 T here were windows with wooden cross-pieces and palm trees cut on each side wall of the house porch. It was the same on the side rooms of the house and their roofs.

And narrow windows and palm-trees on this side, and on that side, at the sides of the porch, and the side-chambers of the house, and the thick places.
