1 A fterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.
And he bringeth me in unto the temple, and he measureth the posts, six cubits the breadth on this side, and six cubits the breadth on that side -- the breadth of the tent.
2 A nd the breadth of the door was ten cubits; and the sides of the door were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits.
And the breadth of the opening ten cubits; and the sides of the opening five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side; and he measureth its length forty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
3 T hen went he inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits.
And he hath gone inward, and measureth the post of the opening two cubits, and the opening six cubits, and the breadth of the opening seven cubits.
4 S o he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.
And he measureth its length twenty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits, unto the front of the temple, and he saith unto me, `This the holy of holies.'
5 A fter he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the house on every side.
And he measureth the wall of the house six cubits, and the breadth of the side-chamber four cubits, all round the house round about.
6 A nd the side chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of the house for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house.
And the side-chambers side-chamber by side-chamber, three and thirty times; and they are entering into the wall -- which the house hath for the side-chambers all round about -- to be taken hold of, and they are not taken hold of by the wall of the house.
7 A nd there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.
And a broad place and a turning place still upwards to the side-chambers, for the turning round of the house still upwards all round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house upwards, and so the lower one goeth up unto the higher by the midst.
8 I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits.
And I have looked at the house, the height all round about: the foundations of the side-chambers the fulness of the reed, six cubits by the joining.
9 T he thickness of the wall, which was for the side chamber without, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the side chambers that were within.
The breadth of the wall that to the side-chamber at the outside five cubits; and that which is left the place of the side-chambers that to the house.
10 A nd between the chambers was the wideness of twenty cubits round about the house on every side.
And between the chambers a breadth of twenty cubits round about the house, all round about.
11 A nd the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.
And the opening of the side-chamber to the place left, one opening northward, and one opening southward, and the breadth of the place that is left five cubits all round about.
12 N ow the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.
As to the building that at the front of the separate place the corner westward, the breadth seventy cubits, and the wall of the building five cubits broad all round about, and its length ninety cubits.
13 S o he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long;
And he hath measured the house, the length a hundred cubits; and the separate place, and the building, and its walls, the length a hundred cubits;
14 a lso the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.
and the breadth of the front of the house, and of the separate place eastward, a hundred cubits.
15 A nd he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;
And he hath measured the length of the building unto the front of the separate place that at its hinder part, and its galleries on this side and on that side, a hundred cubits, and the inner temple and the porches of the court,
16 t he door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered;
the thresholds, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about them three, over-against the threshold, a ceiling of wood all round about, and the ground unto the windows and the covered windows,
17 t o that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure.
over above the opening, and unto the inner-house, and at the outside, and by all the wall all round about within and without measure.
18 A nd it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces;
And it is made cherubs and palm-trees, and a palm-tree between cherub and cherub, and two faces to the cherub;
19 s o that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.
and the face of man unto the palm-tree on this side, and the face of a young lion unto the palm-tree on that side; it is made unto all the house all round about.
20 F rom the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple.
from the earth unto above the opening the cherubs and the palm-trees made, and the wall of the temple.
21 T he posts of the temple were squared, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance of the one as the appearance of the other.
Of the temple the side post square, and of the front of the sanctuary, the appearance as the appearance.
22 T he altar of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the Lord.
Of the altar, the wood three cubits in height, and its length two cubits; and its corners to it, and its length, and its walls of wood, and he speaketh unto me, `This the table that before Jehovah.'
23 A nd the temple and the sanctuary had two doors.
And two doors to the temple and to the sanctuary;
24 A nd the doors had two leaves apiece, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door.
and two leaves to the doors, two turning leaves to the doors, two to the one door, and two leaves to the other.
25 A nd there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubims and palm trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch without.
And made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubs and palm-trees as are made on the walls, and a thickness of wood at the front of the porch on the outside.
26 A nd there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and upon the side chambers of the house, and thick planks.
And narrow windows and palm-trees on this side, and on that side, at the sides of the porch, and the side-chambers of the house, and the thick places.
