1 “ Bezalel and Oholiab shall work with every wise-hearted man, in whom Yahweh has put wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Yahweh has commanded.”
¶ Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab and every wise hearted man unto whom the LORD gave wisdom and intelligence to know how to do all the work of the service of the sanctuary, all the things that the LORD had commanded.
2 M oses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart Yahweh had put wisdom, even everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to the work to do it:
And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab and every wise hearted man in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom and every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it;
3 a nd they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, with which to make it. They brought yet to him freewill offerings every morning.
and they took from the presence of Moses all the offering which the sons of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it with. And they brought yet unto him free will offerings every morning.
4 A ll the wise men, who performed all the work of the sanctuary, each came from his work which they did.
So much that all the wise men that wrought all the work of the sanctuary came every man from his work which they made,
5 T hey spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded to make.”
and they spoke with Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the work of the ministry which the LORD commanded to make.
6 M oses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make anything else for the offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing.
And Moses commanded it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing,
7 F or the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.
for they had abundant material for all the work; more than enough to make it with.
8 A ll the wise-hearted men among those who did the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim, the work of the skillful workman, they made them.
¶ And everyone with a wise heart among those that wrought the work made the tabernacle of ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet, which they made of cunning work, with cherubim.
9 T he length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains had one measure.
The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits; the curtains were all of one size.
10 H e coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.
And he coupled the five curtains one unto another; and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another.
11 H e made loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling. Likewise he made in the edge of the curtain that was outermost in the second coupling.
And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain in the border in the coupling; likewise he made in the border of the second curtain in the coupling.
12 H e made fifty loops in the one curtain, and he made fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that was in the second coupling. The loops were opposite to one another.
Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the second curtain in the border in the coupling, the loops in front of the others.
13 H e made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains to one another with the clasps: so the tabernacle was a unit.
And he made fifty hooks of gold and coupled the curtains one unto another with the hooks, so it became one tabernacle.
14 H e made curtains of goats’ hair for a covering over the tabernacle. He made them eleven curtains.
¶ Likewise he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.
15 T he length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the width of each curtain. The eleven curtains had one measure.
The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain; the eleven curtains were of one size.
16 H e coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.
And he coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.
17 H e made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was outermost in the coupling, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which was outermost in the second coupling.
And he made fifty loops upon the edge of the uttermost curtain in the coupling, and he made another fifty loops upon the edge of the other curtain in the coupling.
18 H e made fifty clasps of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be a unit.
And he also made fifty hooks of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.
19 H e made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above.
And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and another covering of badgers’ skins above that.
20 H e made the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up.
And he made the boards for the tabernacle of cedar wood, standing up.
21 T en cubits was the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the width of each board.
The length of each board was ten cubits, and the breadth one cubit and a half.
22 E ach board had two tenons, joined to one another. He made all the boards of the tabernacle this way.
Each board had two tenons, equally distant one from another; thus did he make all the boards of the tabernacle.
23 H e made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward.
He made, therefore, the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side towards the Negev.
24 H e made forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
He also made the forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards: two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
25 F or the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty boards,
And for the other side of the tabernacle, on the side of the Aquilon, he made twenty boards,
26 a nd their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
with their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
27 F or the far part of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.
And for the westward side of the tabernacle he made six boards.
28 H e made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the far part.
And he made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides,
29 T hey were double beneath, and in the same way they were all the way to its top to one ring. He did this to both of them in the two corners.
which were coupled beneath and likewise coupled together above to a ring; thus he did to both of them in both the corners.
30 T here were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; under every board two sockets.
There were, therefore, eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.
31 H e made bars of acacia wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
And he also made bars of cedar wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32 a nd five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the hinder part westward.
and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the westward side.
33 H e made the middle bar to pass through in the middle of the boards from the one end to the other.
And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from the one end to the other.
34 H e overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold for places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
And he covered the boards with gold and made their rings of gold for the bars to pass through and covered the bars with gold also.
35 H e made the veil of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubim. He made it the work of a skillful workman.
¶ Likewise he made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen, which he made with cherubim of cunning work.
36 H e made four pillars of acacia for it, and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold. He cast four sockets of silver for them.
And for it he made four pillars of cedar and covered them with gold; their capitals were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.
37 H e made a screen for the door of the tent, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer;
Likewise he made the veil for the tabernacle door of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen, of needlework,
38 a nd the five pillars of it with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals and their fillets with gold, and their five sockets were of brass.
and its five pillars with their capitals; and he covered their heads and their fillets with gold; and their five sockets he made of brass.
