1 P raise Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

¶ Halelu-JAH. Sing unto the LORD a new song, let his praise be in the congregation of the merciful.

2 L et Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Let Israel rejoice with his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful with their King.

3 L et them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!

Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

4 F or Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.

For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he will beautify the humble with saving health.

5 L et the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

The merciful shall be joyful with glory; they shall sing aloud upon their beds.

6 M ay the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

¶ The high praises of God shall be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 T o execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

to execute vengeance upon the Gentiles and punishments upon the peoples,

8 T o bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

to imprison their kings with fetters and their nobles with chains of iron,

9 t o execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise Yah!

to execute upon them the judgment written: this shall be glory for all his merciful ones. Halelu-JAH.
