1 I braahim wuxuu guursaday naag kale, magaceeduna wuxuu ahaa Qetuurah.

And Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.

2 O o waxay u dhashay Simraan, iyo Yoqshaan, iyo Medaan, iyo Midyaan, iyo Yishbaaq, iyo Shuu'ah.

And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

3 Y oqshaanna wuxuu dhalay Shebaa, iyo Dedaan. Wiilashii Dedaanna waxay ahaayeen Ashuurim, iyo Letushim, iyo Le'ummiim.

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

4 W iilashii Midyaanna waxay ahaayeen Ceefah, iyo Ceefer, iyo Xanoog, iyo Abiidac iyo Eldacah. Kuwanu waxay wada ahaayeen carruurtii Qetuurah.

And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

5 I braahimna wax alla wuxuu lahaa wuxuu siiyey Isxaaq.

And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

6 L aakiinse naagihii addoommada ahaa oo Ibraahim haystay wuxuu wiilashoodii siiyey hadiyado, oo intuu isagu noolaa ayuu ka diray wiilkiisii Isxaaq, bari buuna u diray xagga dhulka bari.

But unto the sons of the concubines, that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts. And he sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

7 S annadihii Ibraahim noolaa oo cimrigiisu ahaa waa boqol iyo shan iyo toddobaatan sannadood.

And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, a hundred threescore and fifteen years.

8 I braahimna waa naf baxay, cimri wanaagsan buuna ku dhintay, isagoo duq ah, oo sannado badan jiray; oo wuxuu ku darmaday dadkiisii.

And Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

9 M arkaasay wiilashiisii Isxaaq iyo Ismaaciil ku aaseen godkii Makfelah, oo ku dhex yiil berrinkii Cefroon ina Sohar oo ahaa reer Xeed oo ku hor yiil Mamre;

And Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre.

10 b errinkaas oo ahaa kii Ibraahim ka iibsaday reer Xeed. Halkaasaa lagu aasay Ibraahim iyo naagtiisii Saarahba.

The field which Abraham purchased of the children of Heth. There was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

11 I braahim geeridiisii ka dib ayaa Ilaah barakeeyey wiilkiisii Isxaaq; Isxaaqna wuxuu ag degganaa Bi'ir Lahayroy. Wiilashii Ismaaciil

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac dwelt by Beer-lahai-roi.

12 H addaba kuwanu waa farcankii Ismaaciil ina Ibraahim, kii Haagaar tii Masriyadda ahayd oo Saarah midiidinteedii ahayd ay u dhashay Ibraahim.

Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham.

13 K uwanuna waa magacyadii wiilashii Ismaaciil, magacyadoodii sidii farcankoodii ahaa. Curadkii Ismaaciil wuxuu ahaa Nebayod; waxaana ku xigay Qedaar, iyo Adbe'el, iyo Mibsam,

And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

14 i yo Mishmaac, iyo Duumah, iyo Masa;

and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

15 H adar, iyo Tema, iyo Yetuur, iyo Nafish, iyo Qedemah.

Hadad, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

16 K uwanu waa wiilashii Ismaaciil, kuwanuna waa magacyadoodii sidii ay tuulooyinkoodii iyo xeryahoodii ahaayeen; waxayna lahaayeen laba iyo toban amiir sidii ay qolooyinkoodii ahaayeen.

These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampments. Twelve princes according to their nations.

17 S annadihii Ismaaciil noolaa waa boqol iyo toddoba iyo soddon sannadood, wuuna naf baxay, oo dhintay; wuxuuna ku darmaday dadkiisii.

And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years. And he gave up the ghost and died, and was gathered unto his people.

18 W axayna degganaayeen tan iyo Xawiilaah iyo Shuur tan ku hor taal Masar, haddaad u kacdo xagga Ashuur. Walaalihiis oo dhan hortooda ayuu degay. Yacquub Iyo Ceesaw

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria. He abode over against all his brethren.

19 K uwanuna waa farcankii Isxaaq ina Ibraahim. Ibraahim Isxaaq buu dhalay:

And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son. Abraham begat Isaac.

20 I sxaaqna afartan sannadood buu jiray markuu guursaday Rebeqah ina Betuu'el kii dalkiisu ahaa Suuriya ee reer Fadan Araam, iyadoo ahayd Laabaan kii dalkiisu Suuriya ahaa walaashiis.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.

21 I sxaaqna naagtiisuu Rabbiga u baryay, maxaa yeelay, madhalays bay ahayd, Rabbiguna waa ka aqbalay, markaasay naagtiisii Rebeqah uuraysatay.

And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren. And Jehovah was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22 C arruurtiina uurkeeday isku dhex riixriixeen; markaasay tidhi, Hadday saas tahay, maxaan sidan u ahay? Kolkaasay u tagtay inay Rabbiga wax weyddiiso.

And the children struggled together within her. And she said, If it be so, wherefore do I live? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.

23 R abbiguna wuxuu ku yidhi iyada, Laba quruumood baa maxalkaaga ku jirta, Oo laba dad oo kala duwan ayaa uurkaaga ka soo bixi doona; Oo labada dad midkood baa ka xoog badnaan doona dadka kale; Kan weynuna wuxuu u adeegi doonaa kan ka yar.

And Jehovah said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels. And the one people shall be stronger than the other people. And the elder shall serve the younger.

24 O o markii wakhtigii ay umuli lahayd dhammaaday, bal eeg, waxaa maxalkeedii ku jiray mataano.

And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

25 O o kii hore wuu soo baxay isagoo cas, korkiisa oo dhammuna wuxuu u ekaa dhar dhogor laga sameeyey, magiciisiina waxay u baxsheen Ceesaw.

And the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment. And they called his name Esau.

26 D abadeedna waxaa soo baxay walaalkiis, gacantiisuna waxay ku dhegganayd cedhibta Ceesaw; magiciisiina waxaa loo bixiyey Yacquub; Isxaaqna lixdan sannadood buu jiray markay iyaga dhashay.

And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau's heel. And his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

27 W iilashiina way koreen: oo Ceesaw wuxuu ahaa nin ugaadhsiga aad u yaqaan, wuxuuna ahaa nin duurgal ah; Yacquubna wuxuu ahaa nin aamusan oo teendhooyin degi jiray.

And the boys grew. And Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field. And Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.

28 I sxaaqna wuu jeclaa Ceesaw, maxaa yeelay, wuxuu cuni jiray hilibkiisii ugaadha; Rebeqahna waxay jeclayd Yacquub.

Now Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison. And Rebekah loved Jacob.

29 Y acquub wuxuu karsaday fuud; markaasaa waxaa duurka ka yimid Ceesaw, wuuna daalanaa.

And Jacob boiled pottage. And Esau came in from the field, and he was faint.

30 M arkaasaa Ceesaw wuxuu Yacquub ku yidhi, Waan ku baryayaaye, i sii aan cunee fuudkaas cas, waayo, waan daalanahay. Sidaas daraaddeed magiciisii waxaa loo bixiyey Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage. For I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.

31 Y acquubna wuxuu yidhi, Maanta iga iibi curadnimadaada.

And Jacob said, Sell me first thy birthright.

32 M arkaasaa Ceesaw yidhi, Bal eeg, geeri baan ku dhowahay; haddaba curadnimadu maxay ii taraysaa?

And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die. And what profit shall the birthright do to me?

33 M arkaasaa Yacquub ku yidhi, Maanta ii dhaaro. Kolkaasuu u dhaartay, curadnimadiisiina wuxuu ka iibiyey Yacquub.

And Jacob said, Swear to me first. And he sware unto him. And he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

34 Y acquubna wuxuu Ceesaw siiyey kibis iyo fuud digir laga sameeyey, wuuna cunay oo cabbay, markaasuu intuu kacay, iska tegey. Sidaasuu Ceesaw u quudhsaday curadnimadiisii.

And Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils. And he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.
