They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”

12 But before all this happens, men will take hold of you and make it very hard for you. They will give you over to the places of worship and to the prisons. They will bring you in front of kings and the leaders of the people. This will all be done to you because of Me.

But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

It will turn out as a testimony for you.

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

31 I n the same way, when you see these things happening, you will know the holy nation of God is near.

Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.

32 F or sure, I tell you, that the people of this day will not die before all these things happen.

Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.

33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

34 W atch yourselves! Do not let yourselves be loaded down with too much eating and strong drink. Do not be troubled with the cares of this life. If you do, that day will come on you without you knowing it.
