1 J esus looked up and saw rich men putting their money into the money box in the house of God.

Levantando los ojos, vio a unos ricos que echaban sus ofrendas en el arca del tesoro.

2 H e saw a poor woman whose husband had died. She put in two very small pieces of money.

Y vio también a una viuda pobre, que echaba allí dos moneditas.

3 H e said, “I tell you the truth, this poor woman has put in more than all of them.

Y dijo: En verdad os digo, que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos.

4 F or they have put in a little of the money they had no need for. She is very poor and has put in all she had. She has put in what she needed for her own living.” Jesus Tells of the House of God

Porque todos ellos echaron para las ofrendas de Dios de lo que les sobra; mas ésta, de su pobreza echó todo el sustento que tenía. Jesucristo predice la destrucción del templo

5 S ome people were talking about the house of God. They were saying that the stones were beautiful and that many gifts had been given. Jesus said,

Y al decir algunos acerca del templo que estaba adornado de hermosas piedras y ofrendas votivas, dijo:

6 “ As for these things you see, all these stones will be thrown down. Not one will be left on another.”

De esto que estáis contemplando, días vendrán en que no quedará piedra sobre piedra, que no sea derribada.

7 T hey asked Jesus, “Teacher, when will this take place? What are we to look for to show us these things are about to happen?”

Y le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, ¿cuándo será esto?; ¿y qué señal habrá cuando estas cosas estén a punto de suceder?

8 H e said, “Be careful that no one leads you the wrong way. For many people will come in My name. They will say, ‘I am the Christ.’ The time is near. Do not follow them.

Él entonces dijo: Mirad que no seáis engañados; porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo, y: El tiempo está cerca. Mas no vayáis en pos de ellos.

9 W hen you hear of wars and fighting in different places, do not be afraid. These things have to happen first, but the end is not yet.”

Y cuando oigáis de guerras y de sediciones, no os alarméis; porque es necesario que estas cosas acontezcan primero; pero el fin no será inmediatamente.

10 T hen Jesus said to them, “Nations will have wars with other nations. Countries will fight against countries.

Entonces les dijo: Se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino;

11 T he earth will shake and break apart in different places. There will be no food. There will be bad diseases among many people. Very special things will be seen in the sky that will make people much afraid.

y habrá grandes terremotos en diferentes lugares, hambres y pestilencias; y habrá terror y grandes señales del cielo.

12 “ But before all this happens, men will take hold of you and make it very hard for you. They will give you over to the places of worship and to the prisons. They will bring you in front of kings and the leaders of the people. This will all be done to you because of Me.

Pero antes de todas estas cosas os echarán mano, os perseguirán, y os entregarán a las sinagogas y a las cárceles, y seréis llevados ante reyes y ante gobernadores por causa de mi nombre.

13 T his will be a time for you to tell about Me.

Y esto os será ocasión para dar testimonio.

14 D o not think about what you will say ahead of time.

Proponed en vuestros corazones no preparar de antemano vuestra defensa;

15 F or I will give you wisdom in what to say and I will help you say it. Those who are against you will not be able to stop you or say you are wrong.

porque yo os daré palabras y sabiduría, a la cual no podrán contradecir ni resistir todos los que se os opongan.

16 “ You will be handed over by your parents and your brothers and your family and your friends. They will kill some of you.

Pero seréis entregados aun por vuestros padres, y hermanos, y parientes, y amigos; y matarán a algunos de vosotros;

17 A ll men will hate you because of Me.

y seréis aborrecidos por todos a causa de mi nombre.

18 Y et not one hair of your head will be lost.

Pero ni un cabello de vuestra cabeza perecerá.

19 B ut stay true and your souls will have life. Days of Trouble and Pain and Sorrow

Con vuestra paciencia ganaréis vuestras almas.

20 “ When you see armies all around Jerusalem, know that it will soon be destroyed.

Pero cuando veáis a Jerusalén rodeada de ejércitos, sabed entonces que su desolación ha llegado.

21 T hose in the country of Judea must run to the mountains. Those in the city must leave at once. Those in the country must not go into the city.

Entonces los que estén en Judea, huyan a los montes; y los que en medio de ella, váyanse; y los que estén en los campos, no entren en ella.

22 P eople will be punished in these hard days. All things will happen as it is written.

Porque éstos son días de venganza, para que se cumplan todas las cosas que están escritas.

23 “ It will be hard for women who will soon be mothers. It will be hard for those feeding babies in those days. It will be very hard for the people in the land and anger will be brought down on them.

Mas ¡ay de las que estén encintas, y de las que críen en aquellos días!, porque habrá gran calamidad en la tierra, e ira contra este pueblo.

24 P eople will be killed by the sword. They will be held in prison by all nations. Jerusalem will be walked over by the people who are not Jews until their time is finished. Jesus Will Come Again in His Shining-Greatness

Y caerán a filo de espada, y serán llevados cautivos a todas las naciones; y Jerusalén será pisoteada por los gentiles, hasta que los tiempos de los gentiles se cumplan. La venida del Hijo del Hombre

25 “ There will be special things to look for in the sun and moon and stars. The nations of the earth will be troubled and will not know what to do. They will be troubled at the angry sea and waves.

Y habrá señales en el sol, en la luna y en las estrellas, y sobre la tierra angustia de las gentes, perplejas a causa del bramido del mar y de las olas;

26 T he hearts of men will give up because of being afraid of what is coming on the earth. The powers of the heavens will be shaken.

desmayándose los hombres por el temor y la expectación de las cosas que sobrevendrán en la tierra; porque los poderes de los cielos serán conmovidos.

27 T hen they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with power and much greatness.

Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre, que vendrá en una nube con poder y gran gloria.

28 W hen these things begin to happen, lift up your heads because you have been bought by the blood of Christ and will soon be free.” The Picture-Story of the Fig Tree

Cuando estas cosas comiencen a suceder, erguíos y levantad vuestra cabeza, porque vuestra redención está cerca.

29 J esus told them a picture-story. He said, “Look at the fig tree and all the other trees.

También les dijo una parábola: Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles.

30 W hen you see their leaves coming out, you know summer is near.

Cuando ya brotan, viéndolo, sabéis por vosotros mismos que el verano está ya cerca.

31 I n the same way, when you see these things happening, you will know the holy nation of God is near.

Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que está cerca el reino de Dios.

32 F or sure, I tell you, that the people of this day will not die before all these things happen.

De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto acontezca.

33 “ Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras de ningún modo pasarán.

34 W atch yourselves! Do not let yourselves be loaded down with too much eating and strong drink. Do not be troubled with the cares of this life. If you do, that day will come on you without you knowing it.

Estad alerta por vosotros mismos, no sea que vuestros corazones se carguen de libertinaje y embriaguez y de las preocupaciones de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.

35 I t will come on all people over all the earth.

Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra.

36 B e sure you watch. Pray all the time so that you may be able to keep from going through all these things that will happen and be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Velad, pues, en todo tiempo orando que seáis tenidos por dignos de escapar de todas estas cosas que vendrán, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del Hombre.

37 E veryday Jesus taught in the house of God. At night He went to the Mount of Olives and stayed there.

Y enseñaba de día en el templo; y salía a pasar las noches en el monte que se llama de los Olivos.

38 E arly in the morning all the people came to the house of God to hear Him.

Y todo el pueblo venía a él de madrugada, para oírle en el templo.
