1 A nd he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

И той излезе оттам и дойде в Своята родина; и учениците Му вървяха подир Него.

2 A nd when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

О защото Ирод се боеше от Йоана, като знаеше, че той е човек праведен и свят, и го пазеше здраво; и когато го слушаше, вършеше много неща, и с удоволствие го слушаше.

3 I s not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Тоя не е ли дърводелецът, син на Мария, и брат на Якова и Иосия, на Юда и Симона? И сестрите Му не са ли тука между нас? И те се съблазниха в Него.

4 B ut Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

А Исус им каза: Никой пророк не е без почит, освен в своята родина, и между своите сродници, и в своя си дом.

5 A nd he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

И не можеше да извърши там никакво велико дело, освен дето положи ръце на малцина болни и ги изцели.

6 A nd he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

И чудеше се за тяхното неверие. И обикаляше околните села и поучаваше.

7 A nd he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

И като повика дванадесетте, почна да ги разпраща двама по двама, и даде им власт над нечистите духове.

8 a nd commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

И заповяда им да не вземат нищо за по път, освен една тояга; ни хляб, ни торба, ни пари в пояса;

9 b ut be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

но да се обуват със сандали: И, рече Той, не се обличайте в две дрехи.

10 A nd he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

И каза им: В която къща влезете, оставайте в нея докле си излезете оттам.

11 A nd whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

И ако в някое място не ви приемат, нито ви послушат, като излизате оттам отърсете праха из под нозете си като свидетелство против тях.

12 A nd they went out, and preached that men should repent.

И те излязоха и проповядваха, че човеците трябва да се покаят.

13 A nd they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

И изгонваха много бесове, и мнозина болни помазваха с масло и ги изцеляваха.

14 A nd king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

И цар Ирод чу за Исуса (защото името Му стана известно), и думаше: Йоан Кръстител е възкръснал от мъртвите и затова тия велики сили действуват чрез Него.

15 O thers said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

А други казваха, че е Илия. Други пък казваха, че Той е пророк, като един от старовременните пророци.

16 B ut when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

Но Ирод, като чу за Него, рече: Това е Йоан, когото аз обезглавих, той е възкръснал.

17 F or Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.

Защото тоя Ирод беше пратил да хванат Йоана, и да го вържат в тъмница, заради Иродиада, жената на брата му Филипа, понеже я беше взел за жена.

18 F or John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.

Защото Йоан казваше на Ирода: Не ти е позволено да имаш братовата си жена.

19 T herefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

А Иродиада се настрои против него и искаше да го убие, но не можеше;

20 f or Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

защото Ирод се боеше от Иоана, като знаеше, че той е човек праведен и свет, и го пазеше здраво; и когато го слушаше, вършеше много неща и с удоволствие го слушаше.

21 A nd when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

И като настана сгоден ден, когато Ирод за рождения си ден направи вечеря на големците си и на хилядниците и на галилейските старейшини,

22 a nd when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

и самата дъщеря на Иродиада влезе и поигра, тя угоди на Ирода и на седящите с него; и царят рече на момичето: Искай от мене каквото щеш, и ще ти го дам.

23 A nd he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

И закле й се: Каквото и да поискаш от мене, ще ти дам, даже до половината на царството ми.

24 A nd she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

А тя излезе и рече на майка си: Какво да поискам? И тя каза: Главата на Йоана Кръстителя.

25 A nd she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

И начаса момичето влезе бързо при царя и поиска, като каза: Искам да ми дадеш още сега, на блюдо, главата на Йоана Кръстителя.

26 A nd the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

И царят се наскърби много; но пак, заради клетвите си и заради седящите с него, не иска да й откаже.

27 A nd immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

И веднага царят прати един телохранител, комуто заповяда да донесе главата му; и той отиде, обезглави го в тъмницата,

28 a nd brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

и донесе главата му на блюдо и я даде на момичето; а момичето я даде на майка си.

29 A nd when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

И учениците му, като чуха това, дойдоха и дигнаха тялото му, и го положиха в гроб.

30 A nd the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

И апостолите се събраха при Исуса и разказаха Му всичко каквото бяха извършили и каквото бяха поучили.

31 A nd he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

И рече им: Дойдете вие сами на уединено място насаме и починете си малко. Защото мнозина дохождаха и отиваха; и нямаха време нито да ядат.

32 A nd they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

И отидоха с ладията на уединено място насаме.

33 A nd the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

А като отидоха, людете ги видяха, и мнозина ги познаха; и от всичките градове се стекоха там пеши, и ги изпревариха.

34 A nd Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

И Исус като излезе, видя едно голямо множество, и смили се за тях, понеже бяха като овце, които нямат пастир; и почна да ги поучава много неща.

35 A nd when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

И когато беше станало вече късно, учениците Му се приближиха при Него и казаха: Мястото е уединено, и вече е късно;

36 s end them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

разпусни ги за да отидат по околните колиби и села и да си купят нещо за ядене.

37 H e answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

А Той в отговор им рече: Дайте им вие да ядат. А те Му казаха: Да идем ли да купим за двеста пеняза хляб и да им дадем да ядат?

38 H e saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

А Той им каза: Колко хляба имате? Идете вижте. И като узнаха, казаха: Пет, и две риби.

39 A nd he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

И заповяда им да насядат всички на групи по зелената трева.

40 A nd they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

И те насядаха на редици, по сто и по петдесет.

41 A nd when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

И като взе петте хляба и двете риби, Исус погледна на небето и благослови; и разчупи хлябовете, и даваше на учениците да наслагат отпреде им; раздели и двете риби на всичките.

42 A nd they did all eat, and were filled.

И всички ядоха и се наситиха.

43 A nd they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

И дигнаха къшеи, дванадесет пълни коша, така и от рибите.

44 A nd they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

А ония които ядоха хлябовете, бяха петхиляди мъже.

45 A nd straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

И веднага накара учениците Си да влязат в ладията и да отидат преди Него на отвъдната страна към Витсаида, докле Той разпусне народа.

46 A nd when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

И след като се прости с тях, отиде на бърдото да се помоли.

47 A nd when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

И когато се свечери, ладията беше всред морето, а Той сам на сушата.

48 A nd he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

И като ги видя, че се мъчат като гребат с веслата, защото им беше противен вятърът, около четвъртата стража на нощта дохожда при тях, като вървеше по езерото; и щеше да ги отмине.

49 B ut when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

А те, като Го видяха да ходи по езерото, помислиха си, че е призрак, и извикаха;

50 f or they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

защото всички Го видяха и се смутиха. И веднага Той им проговори, като им каза: Дерзайте! Аз съм, не бойте се!

51 A nd he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

И влезе при тях в ладията, и вятърът утихна; и те много се ужасиха в себе си.

52 F or they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

Защото не бяха се вразумили от чудото с хлябовете, но сърцето им беше закоравяло.

53 A nd when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

И като премина езерото, дойдоха в генисаретската земя и излязоха на сушата.

54 A nd when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

И когато излязоха из ладията, веднага хората Го познаха;

55 a nd ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

и разтичаха се по цялата оная околност и почнаха да носят на легла болните там, гдето чуеха, че се намирал Той.

56 A nd whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

И гдето и да влизаше, в села или в градове или в колиби, туряха болните по пазарите, и молеха Му се да се допрат те поне до полите на дрехите Му; и колкото души се допираха, се изцеляваха.
