1 W aagaas taliye Herodos ayaa warkii Ciise maqlay,
At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
2 o o wuxuu midiidinyadiisii ku yidhi, Kanu waa Yooxanaa Baabtiisaha. Kuwii dhintay ayuu ka soo sara kacay, sidaa darteed shuqulladan xoogga leh waa ku dhex jiraan oo shaqaynayaan.
and said to his servants, This is John the baptist: he is risen from the dead, and because of this these works of power display their force in him.
3 W aayo, Herodos baa Yooxanaa qabtay oo intuu xidhay ayuu u xabbisay, walaalkiis Filibos naagtiisii Herodiya aawadeed.
For Herod had seized John, and had bound him and put him in prison on account of Herodias the wife of Philip his brother.
4 W aayo, Yooxanaa wuxuu ku yidhi, Xalaal kuuma aha inaad haysatid,
For John said to him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5 o o goortuu doonay inuu dilo, dadkii badnaa ayuu ka baqay, maxaa yeelay, waxay u haysteen sidii nebi oo kale.
And desiring to kill him, he feared the crowd, because they held him for a prophet.
6 G oortii maalintii la xusuustay dhalashadii Herodos timid, gabadhii Herodiya ayaa dadkii dhexdiisa ku cayaartay, oo Herodos ayay ka farxisay.
But when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod;
7 K olkaasuu dhaar ku ballanqaaday inuu siiyo wixii ay weyddiisatoba.
whereupon he promised with oath to give her whatsoever she should ask.
8 I yadoo hooyadeed hore ula soo talisay ayay tidhi, Halkan xeedho igu soo sii madaxa Yooxanaa Baabtiisaha.
But she, being set on by her mother, says, Give me here upon a dish the head of John the baptist.
9 B oqorkii waa calool xumaaday, laakiin dhaarihiisii iyo kuwii la fadhiyey aawadood ayuu ku amray in la siiyo.
And the king was grieved; but on account of the oaths, and those lying at table with, he commanded to be given.
10 M arkaasuu cid diray oo Yooxanaa xabsigaa madaxa lagaga gooyay.
And he sent and beheaded John in the prison;
11 M adaxiisiina waxaa lagu keenay xeedho, oo gabadhii la siiyey, iyaduna hooyadeed bay u keentay.
and his head was brought upon a dish, and was given to the damsel, and she carried to her mother.
12 M arkaasaa xertiisii timid, oo meydkiisay qaadeen oo aaseen, kolkaasay tageen oo Ciise u warrameen. Waxaa Cunto La Siiyey Shan Kun Oo Nin
And his disciples came and took the body and buried it, and came and brought word to Jesus.
13 C iise goortuu taas maqlay, ayuu halkaas doonni kaga soo noqday, oo meel cidla ah ayuu keligiis tegey. Dadkii badnaana goortay warkaas maqleen, ayay magaalooyinka lug kaga soo raaceen.
And Jesus, having heard it, went away thence by ship to a desert place apart. And the crowds having heard followed him on foot from the cities.
14 G oortuu degay ayuu dad badan arkay, wuuna u naxariistay, oo kuwoodii bukay ayuu bogsiiyey.
And going out he saw a great crowd, and was moved with compassion about them, and healed their infirm.
15 G oortii makhribkii la gaadhay ayaa xertiisii u timid oo ku tidhi, Meeshu waa cidlo, wakhtigiina waa dhammaaday, haddaba dadka dir si ay tuulooyinka u tagaan oo cunto u soo iibsadaan.
But when even was come, his disciples came to him saying, The place is desert, and the time already gone by; dismiss the crowds, that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.
16 L aakiin Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Uma ay baahna inay tagaan, idinku siiya waxay cunaan.
But Jesus said to them, They have no need to go: give ye them to eat.
17 W axay ku yidhaahdeen, Halkan waxba kuma hayno shan kibsood iyo laba kalluun maahee.
But they say to him, We have not here save five loaves and two fishes.
18 M arkaasuu wuxuu ku yidhi, Halkan iigu keena.
And he said, Bring them here to me.
19 K olkaasuu dadkii badnaa ku amray inay cawska ku fadhiistaan. Isaguna wuxuu qaaday shantii kibsood iyo labadii kalluun, oo intuu cirka eegay ayuu barakeeyey oo kibistii kala jejebiyey oo xertiisii siiyey, xertiina dadkii badnaa bay siiyeen.
And having commanded the crowds to recline upon the grass, having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed: and having broken the loaves, he gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.
20 D hammaantood way wada cuneen oo ka dhergeen, oo waxay soo gureen jajabkii hadhay oo laba iyo toban dambiilood ka buuxa.
And all ate and were filled, and they took up what was over and above of fragments twelve hand-baskets full.
21 K uwii cunayna waxay ku dhowaayeen shan kun oo nin oo aan naagaha iyo carruurtu ku jirin. Ciise Baa Badda Ku Dul Socday
But those that had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
22 K olkiiba wuxuu xertiisii ku amray inay doonnida fuulaan oo ay hortiis tagaan dhanka kale, intuu dadkii badnaa dirayo.
And immediately he compelled the disciples to go on board ship, and to go on before him to the other side, until he should have dismissed the crowds.
23 G oortuu dadkii badnaa diray ayuu keligiis buurta fuulay inuu ku tukado, oo goortii makhribka la gaadhay keli ahaantiis ayuu halkaas joogay.
And having dismissed the crowds, he went up into the mountain apart to pray. And when even was come, he was alone there,
24 D oonniduse durba wax badan ayay dhulka ka fogaatay oo hirarku waa dhibeen, waayo, dabaysha ayaa ka gees ahayd.
but the ship was already in the middle of the sea tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
25 W akhtiga gaadhkii afraad oo habeenka ayuu u yimid isagoo badda ku dul socda.
But in the fourth watch of the night he went off to them, walking on the sea.
26 O o xertiisii goortay arkeen isagoo badda ku dul socda, way nexeen oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Waa muuqasho, oo baqdin bay la qayliyeen.
And the disciples, seeing him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, It is an apparition. And they cried out through fear.
27 M arkiiba Ciise waa la hadlay oo ku yidhi, Kalsoonaada, waa aniga ee ha baqina.
But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, Take courage; it is I: be not afraid.
28 M arkaasaa Butros u jawaabay oo ku yidhi, Sayidow, haddaad tahay adiga, igu amar inaan biyaha kuugu dul imaado.
And Peter answering him said, Lord, if it be thou, command me to come to thee upon the waters.
29 W uxuu ku yidhi, Kaalay. Oo Butros markuu doonnida ka degay ayuu biyaha ku dul socday inuu Ciise u tago.
And he said, Come. And Peter, having descended from the ship, walked upon the waters to go to Jesus.
30 L aakiin goortuu dabayshii arkay ayuu baqay, oo markuu bilaabay inuu dego ayuu qayliyey oo ku yidhi, Sayidow, i badbaadi,
But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.
31 o o markiiba Ciise gacantiisuu u taagay oo qabtay oo ku yidhi, Rumaysadyare yahow, maxaad u shakiday?
And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught hold of him, and says to him, O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?
32 O o markay doonnida fuuleen, dabayshu waa joogsatay.
And when they had gone up into the ship, the wind fell.
33 K uwii doonnida ku jirayna way caabudeen isaga, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Runtii, waxaad tahay Wiilka Ilaah. Bogsiintii Dadkii Gennesared Joogay
But those in the ship came and did homage to him, saying, Truly thou art God's Son.
34 O o markay gudbeen waxay yimaadeen dalka Gennesared.
And having crossed over they came to the land of Gennesaret.
35 O o nimankii halkaas degganaa goortay garteen isaga, waxay cid u direen dalkaas ku wareegsan oo dhan, oo waxay u keeneen kuwa buka oo dhan,
And when the men of that place recognised him, they sent to that whole country around, and they brought to him all that were ill,
36 o o waxay ka baryeen inay faraqa maradiisa keliya taabtaan, oo kuwii taabtayna way bogsadeen.
and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment; and as many as touched were made thoroughly well.
