1 ( 59-1) ^^Начальнику хора. На Шушан-Эдуф. Писание Давида для изучения, (59-2) когда он воевал с Сириею Месопотамскою и с Сириею Цованскою, и когда Иоав, возвращаясь, поразил двенадцать тысяч Идумеев в долине Соляной. (59-3) Боже! Ты отринул нас, Ты сокрушил нас, Ты прогневался: обратись к нам.^^

O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.

2 ( 59-4) Ты потряс землю, разбил ее: исцели повреждения ее, ибо она колеблется.

Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3 ( 59-5) Ты дал испытать народу твоему жестокое, напоил нас вином изумления.

Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4 ( 59-6) Даруй боящимся Тебя знамя, чтобы они подняли его ради истины,

Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5 ( 59-7) чтобы избавились возлюбленные Твои; спаси десницею Твоею и услышь меня.

That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

6 ( 59-8) Бог сказал во святилище Своем: 'восторжествую, разделю Сихем и долину Сокхоф размерю:

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7 ( 59-9) Мой Галаад, Мой Манассия, Ефрем крепость главы Моей, Иуда скипетр Мой,

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

8 ( 59-10) Моав умывальная чаша Моя; на Едома простру сапог Мой. Восклицай Мне, земля Филистимская!'

Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.

9 ( 59-11) Кто введет меня в укрепленный город? Кто доведет меня до Едома?

Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

10 ( 59-12) Не Ты ли, Боже, отринул нас, и не выходишь, Боже, с войсками нашими?

Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

11 ( 59-13) Подай нам помощь в тесноте, ибо защита человеческая суетна.

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12 ( 59-14) С Богом мы окажем силу, Он низложит врагов наших.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
