1 ف ِيما يَلِي أسْماءَ سُكّانِ مِنْطَقَةِ يَهُوذا الَّذِينَ عادُوا مِنَ السَّبيِ، الَّذِينَ كانَ المَلِكُ نَبُوخَذْناصَّرُ قَد سَبَى عَشائِرَهُمْ إلَى بابِلَ. وَقَد عادُوا جَمِيعاً إلَى مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ وَيَهُوذا، كُلُّ واحِدٍ إلَى بَلدَتِهِ.

And these sons of the province who are going up -- of the captives of the removal that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed to Babylon, and they turn back to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city --

2 ع ادُوا مَعَ زَرُبّابِلَ وَيَشُوعَ وَنَحَمْيا وَسَرايا وَرَعْلايا وَمُرْدَخايَ وَبِلْشانَ وَمِسْفارَ وَبِغْوايَ وَرَحُومَ وَبَعنَةَ. وَهَذِهِ قائِمَةٌ بِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ العائِدِينَ:

who have come in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah: The number of the men of the people of Israel:

3 ب َنُو فَرْعُوشَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفانِ وَمِئَةٌ وَاثنانِ وَسَبعُونَ.

Sons of Parosh, two thousand a hundred seventy and two.

4 ب َنُو شَفَطْيا وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَلاثُ مِئَةٍ وَاثنانِ وَسَبعُون.

Sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.

5 ب َنُو آرَحَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَخَمسَةٌ وَسَبعُونَ.

Sons of Arah, seven hundred five and seventy.

6 ب َنُو فَحَثَ مُوآبَ، مِنْ عائِلَةِ يَشُوعَ وَيُوآبَ، وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفانِ وَثَمانُ مِئَةٍ وَاثنا عَشَرَ.

Sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua, Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve.

7 ب َنُو عِيلامَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَمِئَتانِ وَأربَعَةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

8 ب َنُو زَتُّو وَعَدَدُهُمْ تِسعُ مِئَةٍ وَخَمسَةٌ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty and five.

9 ب َنُو زَكّايَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ.

Sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.

10 ب َنُو بانِي وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَاثنانِ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Bani, six hundred forty and two.

11 ب َنُو بابايَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty and three.

12 ب َنُو عَرْجَدَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَمِئَتانِ وَاثنانِ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Azgad, a thousand two hundred twenty and two.

13 ب َنُو أدُونِيقامَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَسِتَّةٌ وَسِتُّونَ.

Sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six.

14 ب َنُو بِغْوايَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفانِ وَسِتَّةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Bigvai, two thousand fifty and six.

15 ب َنُو عادِينَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ أربَعُ مِئَةٍ وَأرْبَعَةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Adin, four hundred fifty and four.

16 ب َنُو آطِيرَ، مِنْ عائِلَةِ حَزَقِيّا، وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَمانِيَةٌ وَتِسعُونَ.

Sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.

17 ب َنُو بِيصايَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَلاثُ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَةٍ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty and three.

18 ب َنُو يُورَةَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَاثنا عَشَرَ.

Sons of Jorah, a hundred and twelve.

19 ب َنُو حَشُومَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَتانِ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Hashum, two hundred twenty and three.

20 ب َنُو جِبّارَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ خَمسَةٌ وَتِسعُونَ.

Sons of Gibbar, ninety and five.

21 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ بَيتَ لَحْمَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Beth-Lehem, a hundred twenty and three.

22 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ نَطُوفَةُ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتَّةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Men of Netophah, fifty and six.

23 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ عَناثُوثَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَثَمانِيَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Men of Anathoth, a hundred twenty and eight.

24 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ عَزْمُوتَ وَعَدَدُهُمُ اثْنانِ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Azmaveth, forty and two.

25 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ قَريَةِ عارِيمَ وَكَفِيرَةَ وَبِئِيرُوتَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Kirjath-Arim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty and three.

26 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَتَيِّ الرّامَةِ وَجَبَعَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتُّ مئَةٍ وَواحِدٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one.

27 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ مِخْماسَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةُ وَاثنانِ وَعِشرُونَ.

Men of Michmas, a hundred twenty and two.

28 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَتَيّ إيلَ وَعايَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَتانِ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Men of Beth-El and Ai, two hundred twenty and three.

29 ا لرِّجال مِنْ بَلدَةِ نَبُو وَعَدَدُهُمُ اثْنانِ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Nebo, fifty and two.

30 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ مَغْبِيشَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَسِتَّةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Magbish, a hundred fifty and six.

31 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ عِيلامَ الأُخرَى وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَمِئَتانِ وَأربَعَةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of another Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

32 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ حارِيمَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَلاثُ مِئَةٍ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty.

33 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلداتِ لُودَ وَحادِيدَ وَأُونُو وَعَدَدُهُمْ سَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَخَمسَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

Sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and five.

34 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ أرِيحا وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَلاثُ مِئَةٍ وَخَمسَةٌ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.

35 ا لرِّجالُ مِنْ بَلدَةِ سَناءَةَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ثَلاثَةُ آلافٍ وَسِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثُونَ.

Sons of Senaah, three thousand and six hundred and thirty.

36 أ مّا الكَهَنَةُ العائِدُونَ فَهُمْ: بَنُو يَدْعِيّا، مِنْ عائِلَةِ يَشُوعَ، وَعَدَدُهُمْ تِسعُ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَةٌ وَسَبعُونَ.

The Priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.

37 ب َنُو إمِّيرَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَاثنانِ وَخَمْسُونَ.

Sons of Imner, a thousand fifty and two.

38 ب َنُو فَشْحُورَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَمِئَتانِ وَسَبعَةٌ وَأربَعُونَ.

Sons of Pashhur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.

39 ب َنُو حارِيمَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ ألفٌ وَسَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ.

Sons of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.

40 أ مّا اللّاوِيُّونَ فَهُمْ: بَنُو يَشُوعَ وَقَدْمِيئِيلَ، مِنْ عائِلَةِ هُودُويا، وَعَدَدُهُمْ أربَعَةٌ وَسَبعُونَ.

The Levites; sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, seventy and four.

41 و َالمُرَنِّمُونَ: بَنُو آسافَ وَعَدَدُهُمْ مِئَةٌ وَثَمانِيَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ.

The singers: sons of Asaph, a hundred twenty and eight.

42 و َبَنُو حُرّاس بَوّاباتِ الهَيكَلِ: بَنُو شَلُّومَ وَآطِيرَ وَطَلْمُونَ وَعُقُّوبَ وَحَطِيطا وَشُوبايَ، وَعَدَدُهُمْ جَمِيعاً مِئَةٌ وَتِسعَةٌ وَثَلاثُونَ.

Sons of the gatekeepers; sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai, the whole a hundred thirty and nine.

43 أ مّا خُدّامِ الهَيكَلِ فَهُمْ: بَنُو صِيحا وَحَسُوفا وَطَباعُوتَ،

The Nethinim: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,

44 و َبَنُو قِيرُوسَ وَسيعَها وَفادُونَ،

Sons of Keros, sons of Siaha, sons of Padon,

45 و َبَنُو لَبانَةَ وَحَجابَةَ وَعَقُّوبَ،

Sons of Lebanah, sons of Hagabah, sons of Akkub,

46 و َبَنُو حاجابَ وَشَمُلايَ وَحانانَ،

Sons of Hagab, sons of Shalmai, sons of Hanan,

47 و َبَنُو جَدِيلَ وَحَجَرَ وَرَآيا،

Sons of Giddel, sons of Gahar, sons of Reaiah,

48 و َبَنُو رَصِينَ وَنَقُودا وَجَزّامَ،

Sons of Rezin, sons of Nekoda, sons of Gazzam,

49 و َبَنُو عُزّا وَفاسِيحَ وَبِيسايَ،

Sons of Uzza, sons of Paseah, sons of Besai,

50 و َبَنُو أسْنَةَ وَمَعُونِيمَ وَنَفُوسِيمَ،

Sons of Asnah, sons of Mehunim, sons of Nephusim,

51 و َبَنُو بَقْبُوقَ وَحَقُوفا وَحَرْحُورَ،

Sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,

52 و َبَنُو بَصلُوتَ وَمَحِيدا وَحَرْشا،

Sons of Bazluth, sons of Mehida, sons of Harsha,

53 و َبَنُو بَرْقُوسَ وَسِيسَرا وَثامَحَ،

Sons of Barkos, sons of Sisera, sons of Thamah,

54 و َبَنُو نَصِيحَ وَحَطِيفا.

Sons of Neziah, sons of Hatipha.

55 أ مّا خُدّامِ سُلَيْمانَ فَهُمْ: بَنُو سُوطايَ وَهَسُّوفَرَثَ وَفَرُودا.

Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Peruda,

56 و َبَنُو يَعلَةَ وَدَرْقُونَ وَجَدِّيلَ،

Sons of Jaalah, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,

57 و َبَنُو شَفَطْيا وَحَطِّيلَ وَفُوخَرَةِ الظِّباءِ وَآمِي.

Sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Ami.

58 ف َبَلَغَ عَدَدُ خُدّامِ الهَيكَلِ وَأبناءُ خُدّامِ سُلَيْمانَ ثَلاثَ مِئَةٍ وَاثْنَينِ وَتِسعِينَ شَخصاً.

All the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon three hundred ninety and two.

59 و َجاءَتِ الجَماعاتُ التّالِيَةُ مِنْ مُدُنِ تَلِّ مِلْحٍ وَتَلِّ حَرْشا وَكَرُوبَ وَأدّانَ وَإمِّيرَ، وَلَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَتَمَكَّنُوا مِنْ إثباتِ نَسَبِهِمْ إلَى بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ:

And these those going up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Cherub, Addan, Immer, and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they of Israel:

60 ب َنُو دَلايا وَطُوبِيّا وَنَقُودا وَعَدَدُهُمْ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَاثنانِ وَخَمْسُونَ.

sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.

61 و َمِن عائِلَةِ الكَهَنَةِ: بَنُو حَبايا وَهَقُّوصَ وَبَرْزِلّايَ الَّذِي كانَ قَد تَزَوَّجَ مِنْ إحدَى بَناتِ بَرْزَلّايَ الجِلْعادِيِّ، فَدُعِيَ بِاسْمِهِ.

And of the sons of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who took from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite a wife, and is called by their name;)

62 ب َحَثَ هَؤلاءِ فِي السِّجِلّاتِ الرَّسمِيَّةِ عَن أصلِهِم وَنَسَبِهِمْ، فَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ ذِكرٌ فِيها، فَتَمَّ استِثْناؤُهُمْ مِنْ خِدْمَةِ الكَهَنُوتِ.

these have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and they have not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,

63 و َأمَرَهُمِ الوالِي بِأنْ لا يَأكُلُوا مِنْ أطعِمَةِ قُدسِ الأقداسِ إلَى أن يَظهَرَ كاهِنٌ يَستَطِيعُ أن يَسألَ اللهَ بِواسِطَةِ الأُورِيمِ وَالتُّمِّيمِ فِي أمرِهِمْ.

and the Tirshatha saith to them, that they eat not of the most holy things till the standing up of a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

64 و َقَد بَلَغَ مَجمُوعُ الجَماعَةِ اثْنَينِ وَأربَعِينَ ألفاً وَثَلاثَ مِئَةٍ وستِّينَ شَخصاً.

All the assembly together four myriad two thousand three hundred sixty,

65 ه َذا بِالإضافَةِ إلَى خُدّامِهِمْ وَخادِماتِهِمِ الَّذِينَ بَلَغَ عَدَدُهُمْ سَبْعَةَ آلافٍ وَثَلاثَمِئَةٍ وَسَبْعَةً وَثَلاثِينَ. كَما كانَ مَعَهُمْ مِئَتا مُرَنِّمٍ وَمُرَنِّمَةٍ.

apart from their servants and their handmaids; these seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and of them singers and songstresses two hundred.

66 و َكانَ لَدَيهِمْ سَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَسِتَّةٌ وَثَلاثُونَ حِصاناً، وَمِئَتانُ وَخَمسَةٌ وَأربَعُونَ بَغلاً،

Their horses seven hundred thirty and six, their mules, two hundred forty and five,

67 و َأربَعُ مِئَةٍ وَخَمسَةٌ وَثَلاثُونَ جَمَلاً، وَسِتَّةُ آلافٍ وَسَبعُ مِئَةٍ وَعِشرُونَ حِماراً.

their camels, four hundred thirty and five, asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68 و َقَدَّمَ بَعضُ رُؤَساءِ العائِلاتِ وَالعَشائِرِ عِندَ وُصُولِهِمْ إلَى بَيتِ اللهِ فِي مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ، تَبَرُّعاتٍ لِبَيتِ اللهِ، مِنْ أجلِ أن يُعادَ بِناؤُهُ فِي مَكانِهِ.

And some of the heads of the fathers in their coming in to the house of Jehovah that in Jerusalem, have offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its base;

69 ف َكانَت تَبَرُّعاتُهُمْ لِهَذا البِناءِ قَدرَ طاقَتِهِمْ: واحِداً وَسِتِّينَ ألفَ دِرْهَمٍ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ، وَخَمسَةَ آلافِ رَطلٍ مِنَ الفِضَّةِ، وَمِئَةَ ثَوبٍ للكَهَنَةِ.

according to their power they have given to the treasure of the work; of gold, drams six myriads and a thousand, and of silver, pounds five thousand, and of priests' coats, a hundred.

70 و َأقامَ الكَهَنَةُ وَاللّاوِيُّونَ وَبَعضُ الشَّعبِ فِي مُدُنِهِمْ مَعَ المُغَنِّينَ وَحُرّاسِ الأبْوابِ وَخُدّامِ الهَيكَلِ. وَسَكَنَ جَمِيعُ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ فِي مُدُنِهِمْ.

And the priests dwell, and the Levites, and of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, in their cities; even all Israel in their cities.
