1 耶 和 華 藉 先 知 耶 利 米 論 巴 比 倫 和 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 所 說 的 話 。

The word that Yahweh spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, by Jeremiah the prophet.

2 你 們 要 在 萬 國 中 傳 揚 報 告 ， 豎 立 大 旗 ； 要 報 告 ， 不 可 隱 瞞 ， 說 ： 巴 比 倫 被 攻 取 ， 彼 勒 蒙 羞 ， 米 羅 達 驚 惶 。 巴 比 倫 的 神 像 都 蒙 羞 ； 他 的 偶 像 都 驚 惶 。

Declare among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don’t conceal: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed; her images are disappointed, her idols are dismayed.

3 因 有 一 國 從 北 方 上 來 攻 擊 他 ， 使 他 的 地 荒 涼 ， 無 人 居 住 ， 連 人 帶 牲 畜 都 逃 走 了 。

For out of the north there comes up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and no one shall dwell therein: they are fled, they are gone, both man and animal.

4 耶 和 華 說 ： 當 那 日 子 、 那 時 候 ， 以 色 列 人 要 和 猶 大 人 同 來 ， 隨 走 隨 哭 ， 尋 求 耶 和 華 ─ 他 們 的 神 。

In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Yahweh their God.

5 他 們 必 訪 問 錫 安 ， 又 面 向 這 裡 ， 說 ： 來 罷 ， 你 們 要 與 耶 和 華 聯 合 為 永 遠 不 忘 的 約 。

They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces turned toward it, saying, Come, and join yourselves to Yahweh in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6 我 的 百 姓 作 了 迷 失 的 羊 ， 牧 人 使 他 們 走 差 路 ， 使 他 們 轉 到 山 上 。 他 們 從 大 山 走 到 小 山 ， 竟 忘 了 安 歇 之 處 。

My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains; they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.

7 凡 遇 見 他 們 的 ， 就 把 他 們 吞 滅 。 敵 人 說 ： 我 們 沒 有 罪 ； 因 他 們 得 罪 那 作 公 義 居 所 的 耶 和 華 ， 就 是 他 們 列 祖 所 仰 望 的 耶 和 華 。

All who found them have devoured them; and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Yahweh, the habitation of righteousness, even Yahweh, the hope of their fathers.

8 我 民 哪 ， 你 們 要 從 巴 比 倫 中 逃 走 ， 從 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 出 去 ， 要 像 羊 群 前 面 走 的 公 山 羊 。

Flee out of the middle of Babylon, and go out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the male goats before the flocks.

9 因 我 必 激 動 聯 合 的 大 國 從 北 方 上 來 攻 擊 巴 比 倫 ， 他 們 要 擺 陣 攻 擊 他 ； 他 必 從 那 裡 被 攻 取 。 他 們 的 箭 好 像 善 射 之 勇 士 的 箭 ， 一 枝 也 不 徒 然 返 回 。

For, behold, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; no one shall return in vain.

10 迦 勒 底 必 成 為 掠 物 ； 凡 擄 掠 他 的 都 必 心 滿 意 足 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

Chaldea shall be a prey: all who prey on her shall be satisfied, says Yahweh.

11 搶 奪 我 產 業 的 啊 ， 你 們 因 歡 喜 快 樂 ， 且 像 踹 穀 撒 歡 的 母 牛 犢 ， 又 像 發 嘶 聲 的 壯 馬 。

Because you are glad, because you rejoice, O you who plunder my heritage, because you are wanton as a heifer that treads out the grain, and neigh as strong horses;

12 你 們 的 母 巴 比 倫 就 極 其 抱 愧 ， 生 你 們 的 必 然 蒙 羞 。 他 要 列 在 諸 國 之 末 ， 成 為 曠 野 、 旱 地 、 沙 漠 。

your mother shall be utterly disappointed; she who bore you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the least of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

13 因 耶 和 華 的 忿 怒 ， 必 無 人 居 住 ， 要 全 然 荒 涼 。 凡 經 過 巴 比 倫 的 要 受 驚 駭 ， 又 因 他 所 遭 的 災 殃 嗤 笑 。

Because of Yahweh’s wrath she shall not be inhabited, but she shall be wholly desolate: everyone who goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

14 所 有 拉 弓 的 ， 你 們 要 在 巴 比 倫 的 四 圍 擺 陣 ， 射 箭 攻 擊 他 。 不 要 愛 惜 箭 枝 ， 因 他 得 罪 了 耶 和 華 。

Set yourselves in array against Babylon all around, all you who bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she has sinned against Yahweh.

15 你 們 要 在 他 四 圍 吶 喊 ； 他 已 經 投 降 。 外 郭 坍 塌 了 ， 城 牆 拆 毀 了 ， 因 為 這 是 耶 和 華 報 仇 的 事 。 你 們 要 向 巴 比 倫 報 仇 ； 他 怎 樣 待 人 ， 也 要 怎 樣 待 他 。

Shout against her all around: she has submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down; for it is the vengeance of Yahweh: take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.

16 你 們 要 將 巴 比 倫 撒 種 的 和 收 割 時 拿 鐮 刀 的 都 剪 除 了 。 他 們 各 人 因 怕 欺 壓 的 刀 劍 ， 必 歸 回 本 族 ， 逃 到 本 土 。

Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him who handles the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn everyone to his people, and they shall flee everyone to his own land.

17 以 色 列 是 打 散 的 羊 ， 是 被 獅 子 趕 出 的 。 首 先 是 亞 述 王 將 他 吞 滅 ， 末 後 是 巴 比 倫 王 尼 布 甲 尼 撒 將 他 的 骨 頭 折 斷 。

Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.

18 所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 神 如 此 說 ： 我 必 罰 巴 比 倫 王 和 他 的 地 ， 像 我 從 前 罰 亞 述 王 一 樣 。

Therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

19 我 必 再 領 以 色 列 回 他 的 草 場 ， 他 必 在 迦 密 和 巴 珊 吃 草 ， 又 在 以 法 蓮 山 上 和 基 列 境 內 得 以 飽 足 。

I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.

20 耶 和 華 說 ： 當 那 日 子 、 那 時 候 ， 雖 尋 以 色 列 的 罪 孽 ， 一 無 所 有 ； 雖 尋 猶 大 的 罪 惡 ， 也 無 所 見 ； 因 為 我 所 留 下 的 人 ， 我 必 赦 免 。

In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be no one; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.

21 耶 和 華 說 ： 上 去 攻 擊 米 拉 大 翁 之 地 ， 又 攻 擊 比 割 的 居 民 。 要 追 殺 滅 盡 ， 照 我 一 切 所 吩 咐 你 的 去 行 。

Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: kill and utterly destroy after them, says Yahweh, and do according to all that I have commanded you.

22 境 內 有 打 仗 和 大 毀 滅 的 響 聲 。

A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

23 全 地 的 大 錘 何 竟 砍 斷 破 壞 ？ 巴 比 倫 在 列 國 中 何 竟 荒 涼 ？

How is the hammer of the whole earth cut apart and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

24 巴 比 倫 哪 ， 我 為 你 設 下 網 羅 ， 你 不 知 不 覺 被 纏 住 。 你 被 尋 著 ， 也 被 捉 住 ； 因 為 你 與 耶 和 華 爭 競 。

I have laid a snare for you, and you are also taken, Babylon, and you weren’t aware: you are found, and also caught, because you have striven against Yahweh.

25 耶 和 華 已 經 開 了 武 庫 ， 拿 出 他 惱 恨 的 兵 器 ； 因 為 主 ─ 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 在 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 有 當 做 的 事 。

Yahweh has opened his armory, and has brought out the weapons of his indignation; for the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, has a work to do in the land of the Chaldeans.

26 你 們 要 從 極 遠 的 邊 界 來 攻 擊 他 ， 開 他 的 倉 廩 ， 將 他 堆 如 高 堆 ， 毀 滅 淨 盡 ， 絲 毫 不 留 。

Come against her from the utmost border; open her storehouses; cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly; let nothing of her be left.

27 要 殺 他 的 一 切 牛 犢 ， 使 他 們 下 去 遭 遇 殺 戮 。 他 們 有 禍 了 ， 因 為 追 討 他 們 的 日 子 已 經 來 到 。

Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day has come, the time of their visitation.

28 （ 有 從 巴 比 倫 之 地 逃 避 出 來 的 人 ， 在 錫 安 揚 聲 報 告 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 神 報 仇 ， 就 是 為 他 的 殿 報 仇 。 ）

The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of Yahweh our God, the vengeance of his temple.

29 招 集 一 切 弓 箭 手 來 攻 擊 巴 比 倫 。 要 在 巴 比 倫 四 圍 安 營 ， 不 要 容 一 人 逃 脫 ， 照 著 他 所 做 的 報 應 他 ； 他 怎 樣 待 人 ， 也 要 怎 樣 待 他 ， 因 為 他 向 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 聖 者 發 了 狂 傲 。

Call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow; encamp against her all around; let none of it escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her; for she has been proud against Yahweh, against the Holy One of Israel.

30 所 以 他 的 少 年 人 必 仆 倒 在 街 上 。 當 那 日 ， 一 切 兵 丁 必 默 默 無 聲 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

Therefore her young men will fall in her streets, and all her men of war will be brought to silence in that day, says Yahweh.

31 主 ─ 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 說 ： 你 這 狂 傲 的 啊 ， 我 與 你 反 對 ， 因 為 我 追 討 你 的 日 子 已 經 來 到 。

Behold, I am against you, you proud one, says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies; for your day has come, the time that I will visit you.

32 狂 傲 的 必 絆 跌 仆 倒 ， 無 人 扶 起 。 我 也 必 使 火 在 他 的 城 邑 中 裡 起 來 ， 將 他 四 圍 所 有 的 盡 行 燒 滅 。

The proud one shall stumble and fall, and no one shall raise him up; and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all who are around him.

33 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 以 色 列 人 和 猶 大 人 一 同 受 欺 壓 ； 凡 擄 掠 他 們 的 都 緊 緊 抓 住 他 們 ， 不 肯 釋 放 。

Yahweh of Armies says: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; and all who took them captive hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.

34 他 們 的 救 贖 主 大 有 能 力 ， 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 是 他 的 名 。 他 必 伸 清 他 們 的 冤 ， 好 使 全 地 得 平 安 ， 並 攪 擾 巴 比 倫 的 居 民 。

Their Redeemer is strong; Yahweh of Armies is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

35 耶 和 華 說 ： 有 刀 劍 臨 到 迦 勒 底 人 和 巴 比 倫 的 居 民 ， 並 他 的 首 領 與 智 慧 人 。

A sword is on the Chaldeans, says Yahweh, and on the inhabitants of Babylon, and on her princes, and on her wise men.

36 有 刀 劍 臨 到 矜 誇 的 人 ， 他 們 就 成 為 愚 昧 ； 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 勇 士 ， 他 們 就 驚 惶 。

A sword is on the boasters, and they shall become fools; a sword is on her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.

37 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 馬 匹 、 車 輛 ， 和 其 中 雜 族 的 人 民 ； 他 們 必 像 婦 女 一 樣 。 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 寶 物 ， 就 被 搶 奪 。

A sword is on their horses, and on their chariots, and on all the mixed people who are in the middle of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is on her treasures, and they shall be robbed.

38 有 乾 旱 臨 到 他 的 眾 水 ， 就 必 乾 涸 ； 因 為 這 是 有 雕 刻 偶 像 之 地 ， 人 因 偶 像 而 顛 狂 。

A drought is on her waters, and they shall be dried up; for it is a land of engraved images, and they are mad over idols.

39 所 以 曠 野 的 走 獸 和 豺 狼 必 住 在 那 裡 ， 鴕 鳥 也 住 在 其 中 ， 永 無 人 煙 ， 世 世 代 代 無 人 居 住 。

Therefore the wild animals of the desert with the wolves shall dwell there, and the ostriches shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited forever; neither shall it be lived in from generation to generation.

40 耶 和 華 說 ： 必 無 人 住 在 那 裡 ， 也 無 人 在 其 中 寄 居 ， 要 像 我 傾 覆 所 多 瑪 、 蛾 摩 拉 ， 和 鄰 近 的 城 邑 一 樣 。

As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Yahweh, so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man live therein.

41 看 哪 ， 有 一 種 民 從 北 方 而 來 ， 並 有 一 大 國 和 許 多 君 王 被 激 動 ， 從 地 極 來 到 。

Behold, a people comes from the north; and a great nation and many kings shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

42 他 們 拿 弓 和 槍 ， 性 情 殘 忍 ， 不 施 憐 憫 ； 他 們 的 聲 音 像 海 浪 匉 訇 。 巴 比 倫 城 （ 原 文 是 女 子 ） 啊 ， 他 們 騎 馬 ， 都 擺 隊 伍 如 上 戰 場 的 人 ， 要 攻 擊 你 。

They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.

43 巴 比 倫 王 聽 見 他 們 的 風 聲 ， 手 就 發 軟 ， 痛 苦 將 他 抓 住 ， 疼 痛 彷 彿 產 難 的 婦 人 。

The king of Babylon has heard the news of them, and his hands wax feeble: anguish has taken hold of him, pains as of a woman in labor.

44 仇 敵 必 像 獅 子 從 約 但 河 邊 的 叢 林 上 來 ， 攻 擊 堅 固 的 居 所 。 轉 眼 之 間 ， 我 要 使 他 們 逃 跑 ， 離 開 這 地 。 誰 蒙 揀 選 ， 我 就 派 誰 治 理 這 地 。 誰 能 比 我 呢 ？ 誰 能 給 我 定 規 日 期 呢 ？ 有 何 牧 人 能 在 我 面 前 站 立 得 住 呢 ？

Behold, the enemy shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd who can stand before me?

45 你 們 要 聽 耶 和 華 攻 擊 巴 比 倫 所 說 的 謀 略 和 他 攻 擊 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 所 定 的 旨 意 。 仇 敵 定 要 將 他 們 群 眾 微 弱 的 拉 去 ， 定 要 使 他 們 的 居 所 荒 涼 。

Therefore hear the counsel of Yahweh, that he has taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.

46 因 巴 比 倫 被 取 的 聲 音 ， 地 就 震 動 ， 人 在 列 邦 都 聽 見 呼 喊 的 聲 音 。

At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth trembles, and the cry is heard among the nations.
