1 ¶ For this cause I, Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

Por esta causa yo, Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús por vosotros los gentiles;

2 i f ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which has been given to me in you,

si es que habéis oído de la administración de la gracia de Dios que me fue concedida para con vosotros;

3 h ow that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery (as I wrote above in a few words,

que por revelación me fue dado a conocer el misterio, como antes lo he escrito brevemente,

4 b y which, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of the Christ),

leyendo lo cual podéis daros cuenta del conocimiento profundo que yo tengo en el misterio de Cristo,

5 w hich in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,

misterio que en otras generaciones no fue dado a conocer a los hijos de los hombres, como ahora ha sido revelado a sus santos apóstoles y profetas por el Espíritu:

6 t hat the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in the Christ by the gospel,

que los gentiles son coherederos y miembros del mismo cuerpo, y copartícipes de la promesa en Cristo Jesús por medio del evangelio,

7 o f which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the operation of his power.

del cual yo fui hecho ministro conforme al don de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dado según la actuación de su poder.

8 U nto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Christ

A mí, que soy menos que el más pequeño de todos los santos, me fue dada esta gracia de anunciar entre los gentiles el evangelio de las inescrutables riquezas de Cristo,

9 a nd to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the ages has been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.

y de aclarar a todos cuál sea la administración del misterio escondido desde los siglos en Dios, que creó todas las cosas;

10 T o the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the congregation the manifold wisdom of God,

para que la multiforme sabiduría de Dios sea ahora dada a conocer por medio de la iglesia a los principados y potestades en los lugares celestiales,

11 a ccording to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord,

conforme al propósito eterno que llevó a cabo en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor,

12 I n whom we have security and access with confidence by the faith of him.

en quien tenemos libre acceso con confianza por medio de la fe en él;

13 T herefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

por lo cual pido que no desmayéis a causa de mis tribulaciones por vosotros, las cuales son vuestra gloria. La unidad en el Espíritu

14 ¶ For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Por esta causa doblo mis rodillas ante el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,

15 ( of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named),

de quien toma nombre toda parentela en los cielos y en la tierra,

16 t hat he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man,

para que os dé, conforme a las riquezas de su gloria, el ser vigorizados con poder en el hombre interior por medio de su Espíritu;

17 t hat the Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye, being rooted and grounded in charity,

para que habite Cristo por medio de la fe en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en amor,

18 m ay be able to well comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height

seáis plenamente capaces de comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura,

19 a nd to know the charity of the Christ, which passes all knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que sobrepasa a todo conocimiento, para que seáis llenados hasta toda la plenitud de Dios.

20 N ow unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Y a Aquel que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos o pensamos, según el poder que actúa en nosotros,

21 u nto him be glory in the congregation by Christ Jesus throughout all generations of the ages of the ages. Amen.

a él sea gloria en la iglesia y en Cristo Jesús por todas las edades, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
