1 ¶ Thou also, son of man, take a tile and lay it before thee and portray upon it the city of Jerusalem

Tú, hijo de hombre, toma un ladrillo y ponlo delante de ti, y diseña sobre él la ciudad, Jerusalén.

2 a nd lay siege against it and build a fort against it and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

Y pondrás contra ella un simulacro de asedio, y edificarás contra ella fortalezas, y sacarás contra ella baluarte; también pondrás delante de ella campamento, y colocarás contra ella arietes alrededor.

3 A nd take an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city; and set thy face against it and it shall be for an encompassment, and thou shalt lay siege against the city. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

Toma también una plancha de hierro, y ponla como un muro de hierro entre ti y la ciudad; volverás luego tu rostro hacia ella, y será puesta en estado de sitio, y tú estrecharás el cerco contra ella. Es señal para la casa de Israel.

4 T hou shalt sleep upon thy left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it; according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity.

Y tú te acostarás sobre tu lado izquierdo, y pondrás sobre él la maldad de la casa de Israel. Según el número de los días que duermas sobre él, llevarás sobre ti la maldad de ellos.

5 F or I have summed up for thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

Pues yo te he fijado los años de su maldad por el número de los días trescientos noventa días; y así llevarás tú la maldad de la casa de Israel.

6 A nd when thou hast accomplished them, thou shalt sleep on thy right side this second time, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: a day for a year; I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Cumplidos éstos, te acostarás sobre tu lado derecho segunda vez, y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Judá; cuarenta días, computándote cada día por un año.

7 T herefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against her.

Después volverás tu rostro hacia el asedio de Jerusalén, con el brazo descubierto, y profetizarás contra ella.

8 A nd, behold, I laced bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn from one side to another until thou hast ended the days appointed thee upon thy sides.

Y he aquí que pongo sobre ti ataduras, y no te volverás de un lado a otro, hasta que hayas cumplido los días de tu asedio.

9 ¶ Take also unto thee wheat and barley and beans and lentils and millet and fitches and put them in one vessel and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

Toma también trigo, cebada, habas, lentejas, mijo y avena, y ponlos en una vasija, y hazte pan de ellos; según el número de los días que te acuestes sobre tu lado, trescientos noventa días, comerás de él.

10 A nd thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; from time to time shalt thou eat it.

La comida que comerás será de un peso de veinte siclos al día; de tiempo en tiempo la comerás.

11 T hou shalt also drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin; from time to time shalt thou drink.

Y beberás el agua por medida, la sexta parte de un hin; de tiempo en tiempo la beberás.

12 A nd thou shalt eat barley cakes baked under the ashes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that comes out of man, in their sight.

Y lo comerás en forma de galletas de cebada, que cocerás a la vista de ellos en el rescoldo de excrementos humanos.

13 A nd the LORD said, Even thus shall the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.

Y dijo Jehová: Así comerán los hijos de Israel su pan inmundo, entre las naciones adonde los arrojaré yo.

14 T hen said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul is not defiled: for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither has abominable flesh come into my mouth.

Y dije: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová!, he aquí que mi alma no ha sido manchada, ni nunca desde mi juventud hasta este tiempo comí cosa mortecina ni despedazada, ni nunca en mi boca entró carne inmunda.

15 T hen he said unto me, Behold, I give thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread with it.

Y me respondió: He aquí, te permito usar estiércol de bueyes, en lugar de excremento humano, para cocer en él tu pan.

16 M oreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I break the sustenance of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anguish; and they shall drink water by measure, and with terror.

Me dijo luego: Hijo de hombre, he aquí, quebrantaré el sustento del pan en Jerusalén; y comerán el pan por peso y con angustia, y beberán el agua por medida y con afán,

17 F or they shall lack bread and water, and terrorize one another, and faint because of their iniquity.

para que al faltarles el pan y el agua, se miren unos a otros con espanto, y se consuman en su maldad.
