1 ¶ After these things the Lord appointed another seventy also and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place where he himself would come.

Después de estas cosas, designó el Señor también a otros setenta, a quienes envió de dos en dos delante de él a toda ciudad y lugar adonde él había de ir.

2 T herefore he said unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Y les decía: La mies a la verdad es mucha; mas los obreros, pocos; por tanto, rogad al Señor de la mies que envíe obreros a su mies.

3 G o; behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

Id; he aquí que yo os envío como corderos en medio de lobos.

4 C arry neither purse nor provision bag nor shoes, and greet no one on the way.

No llevéis bolsa, ni alforja, ni calzado; y a nadie saludéis por el camino.

5 A nd into whatever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

En cualquier casa donde entréis, primeramente decid: Paz a esta casa.

6 A nd if indeed there is a son of peace there, your peace shall rest upon it; if not, it shall turn to you again.

Y si hubiese allí algún hijo de paz, vuestra paz reposará sobre él; y si no, se volverá a vosotros.

7 A nd in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

Y permaneced en aquella misma casa, comiendo y bebiendo lo que tengan; porque el obrero es digno de su salario. No andéis cambiando de casa en casa.

8 A nd into whatever city ye enter and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you

En cualquier ciudad donde entréis, y os reciban, comed lo que os pongan delante;

9 a nd heal the sick that are therein and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come near unto you.

y sanad a los enfermos que en ella haya, y decidles: Se ha acercado a vosotros el reino de Dios.

10 B ut into whatever city ye enter and they receive you not, go out into the streets of the same and say,

Mas en cualquier ciudad donde entréis, y no os reciban, saliendo por sus calles, decid:

11 E ven the very dust of your city which cleaves on us we do wipe off against you; notwithstanding be ye sure of this that the kingdom of God is come near unto you.

Aun el polvo de vuestra ciudad, que se ha pegado a nuestros pies, lo sacudimos contra vosotros. Empero, sabed esto, que el reino de Dios se ha acercado.

12 B ut I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.

Os digo que en aquel día será más tolerable el castigo para Sodoma, que para aquella ciudad. Ayes sobre las ciudades impenitentes

13 W oe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which have been done in you, they would have repented a long while ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Betsaida!, que si en Tiro y en Sidón se hubieran hecho los milagros que se han hecho en vosotras, hace tiempo que sentadas en cilicio y ceniza, se habrían arrepentido.

14 T herefore it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

Por tanto, en el juicio será más tolerable el castigo para Tiro y Sidón, que para vosotras.

15 A nd thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto the heavens, shalt be thrust down to Hades.

Y tú, Capernaúm, que hasta los cielos fuiste levantada, hasta el Hades serás abatida.

16 H e that hears you hears me, and he that despises you despises me, and he that despises me despises him that sent me.

El que a vosotros oye, a mí me oye; y el que a vosotros desecha, a mí me desecha; y el que me desecha a mí, desecha al que me envió. Regreso de los setenta

17 ¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.

Volvieron los setenta con gozo, diciendo: Señor, aun los demonios se nos someten en tu nombre.

18 A nd he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Y les dijo: Yo veía a Satanás caer del cielo como un rayo.

19 B ehold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

He aquí os doy potestad de hollar serpientes y escorpiones, y sobre todo poder del enemigo, y nada os dañará.

20 N otwithstanding, rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in the heavens.

Pero no os regocijéis de que los espíritus se os someten, sino regocijaos de que vuestros nombres están escritos en los cielos. Jesús se regocija

21 I n that same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent and hast revealed them unto babes; even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

En aquella misma hora Jesús se regocijó en el Espíritu Santo, y dijo: Yo te alabo, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque ocultaste estas cosas a sabios y entendidos, y las has revelado a niños. Sí, Padre, porque así fue de tu agrado.

22 A ll things are delivered to me of my Father, and no one knows who the Son is, but the Father, and who the Father is, but the Son and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Todas las cosas me fueron entregadas por mi Padre; y nadie conoce quién es el Hijo sino el Padre; ni quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo lo quiera revelar.

23 A nd he turned him unto his disciples and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see,

Y volviéndose a los discípulos, les dijo aparte: Bienaventurados los ojos que ven lo que vosotros veis;

24 f or I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see those things which ye see and did not see them and to hear those things which ye hear and did not hear them.

porque os digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que vosotros veis, y no lo vieron; y oír lo que oís, y no lo oyeron. El buen samaritano

25 ¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Y he aquí que un intérprete de la ley se levantó y dijo, para probarle: Maestro, ¿qué he de hacer para heredar la vida eterna?

26 H e said unto him, What is written in the law? How readest thou?

Él le dijo: ¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿Cómo lees?

27 A nd he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy strength and with all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.

Aquél, respondiendo, dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas, y con toda tu mente; y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.

28 A nd he said unto him, Thou hast answered right; do this, and thou shalt live.

Y le dijo: Bien has respondido; haz esto, y vivirás.

29 B ut he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

Pero él, queriendo justificarse a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo?

30 A nd Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment and wounded him and departed, leaving him half dead.

Respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalén a Jericó, y cayó en manos de ladrones, los cuales le despojaron; e hiriéndole, se fueron, dejándole medio muerto.

31 A nd it so happened that a certain priest came down that way; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Coincidió que descendía un sacerdote por aquel camino, y viéndole, pasó por el lado opuesto del camino.

32 A nd likewise a Levite, when he came near the place and looked on him, he passed by on the other side.

Asimismo un levita, llegando cerca de aquel lugar, y viéndole, pasó por el otro lado.

33 B ut a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion

Pero un samaritano que iba de camino, vino cerca de él, y viéndole, fue movido a compasión;

34 a nd went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

y acercándose, vendó sus heridas, echándoles aceite y vino; y poniéndole sobre su propia cabalgadura, lo llevó a un mesón, y cuidó de él.

35 A nd on the morrow when he departed, he took out two denarius and gave them to the host and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Al partir al día siguiente, sacó dos denarios, y los dio al mesonero, y le dijo: Cuídale; y todo lo que gastes de más, yo te lo pagaré cuando regrese.

36 W hich now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

¿Quién, pues, de estos tres te parece que fue el prójimo del que cayó en manos de los ladrones?

37 A nd he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go and do thou likewise.

Él dijo: El que usó de misericordia con él. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ve, y haz tú lo mismo. Jesús visita a Marta y a María

38 ¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

Aconteció que yendo de camino, entró en una aldea; y una mujer llamada Marta le recibió en su casa.

39 A nd she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard his word.

Ésta tenía una hermana que se llamaba María, la cual, sentándose a los pies de Jesús, oía su palabra.

40 B ut Martha was cumbered about in much serving and came to him and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me.

Pero Marta se preocupaba con muchos quehaceres, y acercándose, dijo: Señor, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me deje servir sola? Dile, pues, que me ayude.

41 A nd Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;

Respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Marta, Marta, estás preocupada y acongojada con muchas cosas.

42 b ut only one thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Pero sólo una cosa es necesaria; y María ha escogido la parte buena, la cual no le será quitada.
