1 ¶ The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy saving health how greatly shall he rejoice!

El rey se alegra en tu poder, oh Jehová; Y en tu salvación, ¡cómo se goza!

2 T hou hast given him his heart’s desire and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

Le has concedido el deseo de su corazón, Y no le negaste la petición de sus labios. Selah

3 F or thou givest him beforehand the blessings of goodness; thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

Porque le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones venturosas; Corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

4 H e asked life of thee, and thou didst give him length of days for ever and ever.

Vida te demandó, y se la diste; Largo curso de días eternamente y para siempre.

5 H is glory is great in thy saving health; honour and beauty hast thou laid upon him.

Gran gloria le da tu salvación; Honor y majestad has puesto sobre él.

6 F or thou hast made him most blessed for ever; thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

Porque le has bendecido para siempre; Lo llenaste de alegría con tu presencia.

7 ¶ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

Por cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, Y con la gracia del Altísimo, no ha de vacilar.

8 T hine hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

Alcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos; Tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

9 T hou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Los pondrás como horno de fuego en el día de tu ira; Jehová los deshará en su ira, Y fuego los consumirá.

10 T heir fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men.

Su fruto harás desaparecer de la tierra, Y su descendencia de entre los hijos de los hombres.

11 F or they intended evil against thee; they imagined a wicked device, but they did not prevail.

Si intentan el mal contra ti Y fraguan maquinaciones, no prevalecerán,

12 T herefore shalt thou separate them; thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Pues tú los pondrás en fuga; En tus cuerdas dispondrás saetas contra sus rostros.

13 B e thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy valour.

Engrandécete, oh Jehová, en tu poder; Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.
