1 ¶ When he was come down from the mountain, many people followed him.
And when he had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
2 A nd, behold, a leper came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou art willing, thou art able to cleanse me.
And behold, a leper came up to and did him homage, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me.
3 A nd Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 T hen Jesus said unto him, See thou tell no one; but go, show thyself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
And Jesus says to him, See thou tell no man, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
5 ¶ And when Jesus was entering into Capernaum, a centurion came unto him, beseeching him,

6 a nd saying, Lord, my servant lies at home paralyzed, grievously tormented.
and saying, Lord, my servant lies paralytic in the house, suffering grievously.
7 A nd Jesus said unto him, I will come and heal him.
And Jesus says to him, I will come and heal him.
8 T he centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof; but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that thou shouldest enter under my roof; but only speak a word, and my servant shall be healed.
9 F or I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my slave, Do this, and he does it.
For I also am a man under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to this, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bondman, Do this, and he does it.
10 W hen Jesus heard it, he marvelled and said to those that followed, Verily I say unto you that not even in Israel have I found such faith.
And when Jesus heard it, he wondered, and said to those who followed, Verily I say unto you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith.
11 B ut I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west and shall sit down at the table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens.
But I say unto you, that many shall come from rising and setting, and shall lie down at table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens;
12 B ut the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13 T hen Jesus said unto the centurion, Go, and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in that same hour.

14 ¶ And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying in bed and with fever.
And when Jesus had come to Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law laid down and in a fever;
15 A nd he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose and ministered unto them.
and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and served him.
16 W hen evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils, and he cast out the spirits with the word and healed all that were sick
And when the evening was come, they brought to him many possessed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were ill;
17 t hat it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.
so that that should be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases.
18 ¶ Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he commanded that they depart unto the other side.
And Jesus, seeing great crowds around him, commanded to depart to the other side.
19 A nd a certain scribe came and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee wherever thou goest.
And a scribe came up and said to him, Teacher, I will follow thee whithersoever thou mayest go.
20 A nd Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.
And Jesus says to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven roosting-places; but the Son of man has not where he may lay his head.
21 A nd another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
But another of his disciples said to him, Lord, suffer me first to go away and bury my father.
22 B ut Jesus said unto him, Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.
But Jesus said to him, Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
23 ¶ And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
And he went on board ship and his disciples followed him;
24 A nd, behold, there arose a great moving in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves; but he was asleep.
and behold, became very agitated on the sea, so that the ship was covered by the waves; but he slept.
25 A nd his disciples came to him and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us; we perish.
And the disciples came and awoke him, saying, Lord save: we perish.
26 A nd he said unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then, awake, he rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
And he says to them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then, having arisen, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 B ut the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey him!
But the men were astonished, saying, What sort is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?
28 ¶ And when he was come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
And there met him, when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding dangerous, so that no one was able to pass by that way.
29 A nd, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come here to torment us before the time?
And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Son of God? hast thou come here before the time to torment us?
30 A nd there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine feeding.
Now there was, a great way off from them, a herd of many swine feeding;
31 S o the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
and the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.
32 A nd he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine; and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished in the waters.
And he said to them, Go. And they, going out, departed into the herd of swine; and lo, the whole herd rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the waters.
33 A nd those that fed them fled and went into the city and told everything and what was befallen to the ones possessed of the demons.
But they that fed them fled, and went away into the city and related everything, and what had happened as to those possessed by demons.
34 A nd, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their borders.
And behold, the whole city went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged to go away out of their coasts.
