1 Д ля дириґетна хору. Псалом навчальний Давидів. (52-3) Чого хвалишся злом, о могутній? Цілий день Божа милість зо мною.

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

2 ( 52-4) Замишляє лукавство язик твій, як та бритва нагострена ти, що чиниш обману!

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3 ( 52-5) Ти зло полюбив над добро, а неправду більш, як правду казати, Села,

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4 ( 52-6) ти любиш усякі шкідливі слова, ти язику обманний!

Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 ( 52-7) Отож, Бог зруйнує назавжди тебе, тебе викине й вирве з намету тебе, й тебе викоренить із країни життя. Села.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6 ( 52-8) і побачать це праведні, й будуть боятись, і будуть сміятися з нього:

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

7 ( 52-9) Ось муж, що Бога не чинить своєю твердинею, та на великість багатства свого покладає надію, втікає до злого свого...

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8 ( 52-10) А я як зелена оливка у Божому домі, надіюсь на Божую милість на вічні віки!

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 ( 52-11) Буду славити вічно Тебе, що вчинив Ти оце, і про ймення Твоє буду звіщати побожним Твоїм, що добре воно!

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
