1 O h Jehová, Señor nuestro, Cuán glorioso es tu nombre en toda la tierra! Has puesto tu gloria sobre los cielos;

O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

2 D e la boca de los niños y de los que maman, fundaste la fortaleza, A causa de tus enemigos, Para hacer callar al enemigo y al vengativo.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 C uando veo tus cielos, obra de tus dedos, La luna y las estrellas que tú formaste,

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 D igo: ¿Qué es el hombre, para que tengas de él memoria, Y el hijo del hombre, para que lo visites?

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 L e has hecho poco menor que los ángeles, Y lo coronaste de gloria y de honra.

For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.

6 L e hiciste señorear sobre las obras de tus manos; Todo lo pusiste debajo de sus pies:

Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 O vejas y bueyes, todo ello, Y asimismo las bestias del campo,

All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,

8 L as aves de los cielos y los peces del mar; Todo cuanto pasa por los senderos del mar.

The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 O h Jehová, Señor nuestro, Cuán grande es tu nombre en toda la tierra!

O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
