1 M ucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud, Puede decir ahora Israel;

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up, Let Israel now say,

2 M ucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud; Mas no prevalecieron contra mí.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up: Yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 S obre mis espaldas araron los aradores; Hicieron largos surcos.

The plowers plowed upon my back; They made long their furrows.

4 J ehová es justo; Cortó las coyundas de los impíos.

Jehovah is righteous: He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 S erán avergonzados y vueltos atrás Todos los que aborrecen a Sion.

Let them be put to shame and turned backward, All they that hate Zion.

6 S erán como la hierba de los tejados, Que se seca antes que crezca;

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, Which withereth before it groweth up;

7 D e la cual no llenó el segador su mano, Ni sus brazos el que hace gavillas.

Wherewith the reaper filleth not his hand, Nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 N i dijeron los que pasaban: Bendición de Jehová sea sobre vosotros; Os bendecimos en el nombre de Jehová.

Neither do they that go by say, The blessing of Jehovah be upon you; We bless you in the name of Jehovah.
