1 V uelve, oh Israel, a Jehová tu Dios; porque por tu pecado has caído.

O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

2 L levad con vosotros palabras de súplica, y volved a Jehová, y decidle: Quita toda iniquidad, y acepta el bien, y te ofreceremos la ofrenda de nuestros labios.

Take with you words, and return unto Jehovah: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good: so will we render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

3 N o nos librará el asirio; no montaremos en caballos, ni nunca más diremos a la obra de nuestras manos: Dioses nuestros; porque en ti el huérfano alcanzará misericordia.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods; for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

4 Y o sanaré su rebelión, los amaré de pura gracia; porque mi ira se apartó de ellos.

I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.

5 Y o seré a Israel como rocío; él florecerá como lirio, y extenderá sus raíces como el Líbano.

I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

6 S e extenderán sus ramas, y será su gloria como la del olivo, y perfumará como el Líbano.

His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

7 V olverán y se sentarán bajo su sombra; serán vivificados como trigo, y florecerán como la vid; su olor será como de vino del Líbano.

They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the grain, and blossom as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

8 E fraín dirá: ¿Qué más tendré ya con los ídolos? Yo lo oiré, y miraré; yo seré a él como la haya verde; de mí será hallado tu fruto.

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir-tree; from me is thy fruit found.

9 ¿ Quién es sabio para que entienda esto, y prudente para que lo sepa? Porque los caminos de Jehová son rectos, y los justos andarán por ellos; mas los rebeldes caerán en ellos.

Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.
