1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man have a flux from his flesh, because of his flux he is unclean.

“Say to the people of Israel, ‘When a man has something flowing from his body, what is flowing is unclean.

3 A nd this shall be his uncleanness in his flux: whether his flesh run with his flux, or his flesh be closed from his flux, it is his uncleanness.

If it flows, or if it fills up and stops flowing, he will be unclean.

4 E very bed whereon he lieth that hath the flux shall be unclean; and every object on which he sitteth shall be unclean.

Every bed on which the person with the flow lies will be unclean.

5 A nd whoever toucheth his bed shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches his bed must wash his clothes and wash himself in water. And he will be unclean until evening.

6 A nd he that sitteth on any object whereon he sat that hath the flux shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever sits where the man with the flow has been sitting must wash his clothes and wash himself with water. He will be unclean until evening.

7 A nd he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the flux shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches the person with the flow must wash his clothes and wash himself in water. And he will be unclean until evening.

8 A nd if he that hath the flux spit upon him that is clean, then he shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

If the man with the flow spits on one who is clean, then he must wash his clothes, wash himself in water, and be unclean until evening.

9 A nd what carriage soever he rideth upon that hath the flux shall be unclean.

Any leather seat on which the man who is unclean has been sitting will be unclean.

10 A nd whoever toucheth anything that was under him shall be unclean until the even; and he that carrieth them shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening.

11 A nd whomsoever he toucheth who hath the flux and hath not rinsed his hands in water—he shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Anyone the man with the flow touches must wash his clothes and wash himself in water. He will be unclean until evening.

12 A nd the vessel of earth that he toucheth who hath the flux shall be broken; and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.

The clay pot that the man with the flow touches must be broken. And anything made of wood must be washed in water.

13 A nd when he that hath a flux is clean of his flux, then he shall count seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and he shall be clean.

‘When the flow of the man stops, he will take seven days to make himself clean. Then he will wash his clothes and wash his body in running water. And he will be clean.

14 A nd on the eighth day he shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, and come before Jehovah unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, and give them unto the priest.

On the eighth day he will take two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, come before the Lord at the door of the meeting tent, and give them to the religious leader.

15 A nd the priest shall offer them, one as a sin-offering, and one as a burnt-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah for his flux.

The religious leader will give them, one for a sin gift, and the other for a burnt gift. So the religious leader will pay for his sins before the Lord because of his flow.

16 A nd if any man's seed of copulation pass from him, then he shall bathe his whole flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.

‘If a man’s seed comes from his sex part, he must wash his whole body in water. And he will be unclean until evening.

17 A nd every garment, and every skin, whereon the seed of copulation shall be, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.

Any clothing or leather on which the seed touches must be washed with water. It will be unclean until evening.

18 A nd a woman with whom a man lieth with seed of copulation—they shall bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

If a man lies with a woman so that seed goes out from him, they must both wash themselves in water and will be unclean until evening.

19 A nd if a woman have a flux, and her flux in her flesh be blood, she shall be seven days in her separation, and whoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.

‘When a woman has something flowing from her body, and if it is blood, she will be unclean for seven days. Whoever touches her will be unclean until evening.

20 A nd everything that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean; and everything that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

Everything she lies on while she is unclean will be unclean. And everything she sits on will be unclean.

21 A nd whoever toucheth her bed shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and wash himself in water and be unclean until evening.

22 A nd whoever toucheth any object that she sat upon shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and wash himself in water and be unclean until evening.

23 A nd if it be on the bed, or on anything whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.

If he touches anything on her bed or where she sat, he will be unclean until evening.

24 A nd if a man lie with her at all, and the uncleanness of her separation come upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and every bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

If a man lies with her so that her blood is on him, he will be unclean for seven days. And every bed he lies on will be unclean.

25 A nd if a woman have her flux of blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if she have the flux beyond the time of her separation, all the days of the flux of her uncleanness shall she be as the days of her separation: she is unclean.

‘If a woman has a flow of blood for many days, at a different time than when it happens each month, or if the blood flows longer at that time, all the days the blood flows she will be unclean. It will be as if it were the time when she is unclean each month. She will be unclean.

26 E very bed whereon she lieth all the days of her flux shall be unto her as the bed of her separation; and every object on which she sitteth shall be unclean, according to the uncleanness of her separation.

Any bed she lies on while her blood is flowing will be like the bed during the time she is unclean and whatever she sits on will be unclean.

27 A nd whoever toucheth them shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Whoever touches them will be unclean. He must wash his clothes and wash himself in water and be unclean until evening.

28 A nd if she be cleansed of her flux then she shall count seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

When she becomes clean from her flow, she will wait seven days. After that she will be clean.

29 A nd on the eighth day she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting.

On the eighth day she will take two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the religious leader at the door of the meeting tent.

30 A nd the priest shall offer the one as a sin-offering, and the other as a burnt-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her before Jehovah for the flux of her uncleanness.

The religious leader will give one for a sin gift and the other for a burnt gift. In this way the woman will be clean before the Lord from the flow of blood that made her unclean.’

31 A nd ye shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is in their midst.

“In this way you will keep the people of Israel away from whatever makes them unclean or they will die because of making My meeting tent unclean that is among them.”

32 T his is the law for him that hath a flux, and for the one whose seed of copulation goeth from him, and who is defiled therewith:

This is the law for him who has something flowing from his body, and for the man whose seed flows from his sex part and makes him unclean.

33 a nd for a woman who is sick in her separation, and for him that hath his flux; for the man and for the woman, and for him that lieth with her that is unclean.

And this is the law for the woman who is sick because of her flow of blood, and for the man or woman who has something flowing from the body, and for the man who lies with a woman who is unclean.
